Re: Atlus Is Now Teasing Persona 5 S News Later This Month

Realistically, the Switch is about to overtake the PS4’s lifetime Japan sales at just over two years of life. Not releasing on Switch, especially with Joker coming to Smash, would be insanely stupid and even the most die-hard PS4 fans should hope for a dual release as it’ll only make Persona get more fans.

But it’s probably Stadia

Re: Hands On: Can Crash Team Racing Compete with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

Holy crap I hope it can. I’m one of the biggest Nintendo guys you’ll find here but 8 was a total let down - terrible roster and boring single player. The battle mode was trash too but that’s been fixed. It was hard playing Sonic Racing Transformed with all its modes and characters and then going to MK8 with made up characters and nothing but Grand Prix or time attack.

@Ralizah Sure did, I’m still day one with anything AA related. I just don’t like how the new writer is so focused on huge consiparacies and CUHRAZY twists rather than small scale character-driven stories. Even in the end of the original trilogy, the stakes were high for the characters involved but it wasn’t some insane “the entire country is depending on this” stuff.

But I did enjoy SoJ despite that. Not sure where I would want the series to go next but the new writer did earn my trust with that.

Re: Konami Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Retro Collections Coming to PS4

Absolutely will be buying the Castlevania ones, the only game from the series I’ve really played was Aria of Sorrow on Wii U eShop and I really enjoyed it. I guess it comes down to how they split the games. They say this is the “first” Castlevania collection, so I wonder if they’ll do one collection with platformers and one collection with Metroid-like games.

Also I hope for Contra Rebirth to be on there now that the Wii Shop Channel is dead. My brother and I still quote that game’s stupid-ass lines, it was amazing.

This is one of those, “I already own a perfectly fine copy on another system but I’ll buy it again” kind of games. I didn’t like the first half of the open world - there’s tons of long backtracking if you don’t do things in the exact right order. However eventually you start finding completely new areas to explore and then it gets to be 10/10 again.

Right up there with Shovel Knight and Celeste.

Re: Persona 5 R Announced for PS4, More Details Coming in 2019

Considering that the press release states “no consoles have been announced at this time” and that a cursory glance at reveal trailers will show a bunch that start with a PS logo just to end up being multiplats, I’m not sure why anyone is assuming this will be PS exclusive just yet (let’s also keep in mind that Switch has already outsold PS4/Slim lifetime sales in Japan in a fraction of the time!)

It’s been obvious for a long time that the writers here have nothing in their lives except console wars but hopefully some fellow readers live outside of that bubble.

Anyway, I’m not going to get excited over an announcement of an announcement but I sure hope this is the FES/Golden version of P5. I doubt they’d give this much attention to a spinoff although I’d settle for a new Arena game too.
