@Nintendo4Sonic No idea about prices outside of the UK, but it's still £69.99 to buy on PS Store, and the cheapest you can get a physical copy when it's on sale is £37.99. For a game that's over 2 years old and was a remake anyway, it's still way overpriced. Many people sub to Extra and Premium so they don't have to constantly find money for games.
Been waiting for this to drop in price as I was going to buy it, but won't bother now it's coming to Extra. Glad I didn't spend the ridiculous money they wanted for it.
Does it still have the same stupid menu system as Diablo 3? I hated the way the controls worked in that game. It seemed to be a real pain to use your storage, certain items seemed to be hidden deep inside the menus and overall none of it felt intuitive. Admittedly I'm also a PC player, but the PS controls were really bad.
I'm a bit backed up with games right now. Especially with Elden Ring dropping next week. I'll pick Forbidden West up after the hype has died down. I didn't play Zero Dawn until it was available in the 'Playstation Hit's' range, so no rush.
I went to see it with the wife and kids at the weekend. It's not going to top Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it's a perfectly fun and watchable movie. All of us had a good time. Tom Holland isn't my idea of Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg isn't Sully to me either, but I thought the two actors bounced off each other pretty well. I learned not to listen to critics long ago, they rarely like the games, movies or music I like.
I didn't play the game because I was always waiting for a PS5 version, so this report gives me some confidence that it will be worth playing. I've just bought a cheap PS4 version so will get the free upgrade to PS5 done and keep it on ice until after Elden Ring and Forbidden West.
It's a strange move for sure, but it's still not as weird as Hitman 1 and 2 and subsequent remakes having no platinum trophy at all. I'm not a prolific platinum collector (currently have 27 which is small compared to some) but on the games I really love, I will try to get it.
Is there no authority in the US that would investigate this deal for competition reasons? In the UK this deal would be very unlikely to happen because the Competition and Markets Authority would understand it's bad for consumers and would not allow it to happen.

@Kalvort Elden Ring is a lot more forgiving than other Souls games, so put your anxiety to one side and jump in!

Re: These Are the Franchises PS5, PS4 May Lose to Activision Blizzard Buyout
@Alduin Play it on PC, I love Diablo but it's awful on consoles.
Re: These Are the Franchises PS5, PS4 May Lose to Activision Blizzard Buyout
Not really sure why World of Warcraft is on the list, it's never been a console game and wouldn't port well to consoles either.
