What's the swearing like? Sorry, I've never seen the show it models. Is it really sexual in nature or is more just exclamations? My 11 yo son has heard all the swears so that's not an issue, as long as it isn't too explicit.
Also, did you say you can turn the swearing off? Do they bleep the words?
I like the idea of it suggesting where your friends are. I got to the very end of the game but when it came time to track all of them down to say goodbye, I couldn't find most of them and gave up at the 99% completion point.
Stardew Valley should have been #1. In fact, I got confused when I saw that it and/or Minecraft wasn't #2 because I absolutely 100% assumed SV would be included. Plants v Zombies 2 is another one that my younger kid loves. It's a great game because it kinda looks like a Fortnight/Overwatch if you're 8 and it lets them play a FPS-style game.
Why is the reviewer comparing this up against Madden in terms of football experience? It's like saying, hmmm well the new Burnout game is fine and all but it's no Gran Turismo.
This is to Madden what Rocket League is to FIFA 18, a deliberate twist on a conventional game. It should be compared against NFL Blitz and the numerous pretenders to the throne that have popped up here and there over the past decade.
The argument was made in the other thread that development costs are rising, and I can appreciate that. But I think the motivation for adding these pay-to-fully-play elements is due more for a lust for profits. The devs are seeing games on other media like Roblox and Clash of Clans make a fortune in add-ons and are thinking, we just spent exponentially more time and effort on our epic game, why can't we revel in those sweet sweet profits? It's understandable, but it doesn't make it any more palatable.

Re: Round Up: Hitman 2 PS4 Reviews Boil Down to 'Good Work, 47'
Am I reading it correctly that this new game also gives you the first Hitman as well? I didn't play the 1st one so this would be a major incentive.
