Do people actually care about these "awards"? They're nothing more than popularity contests. Who votes and what is their criteria? These arbitrary award shows are an absolute joke and I feel sorry for people who get emotional about them.
The production value is crazy. It's one of the prettiest games I've played. The gameplay is also really good, however I wish they would've kept the flashlight mapped to the L2 button. The sound design is also great and really makes the game more terrifying. The story is also interesting which is weird for me as I usually find stories in games really bad and they mostly get in the way. Overall I give it a 9.
I'm so excited to pick up my pre-order Thursday. Unironically this has been at the top of my most anticipated releases this year and the demo on Steam was the most fun I've had in a long time. I don't think thin RPG mechanics and being linear should bring down the score. If anything I think those are a plus.. not every game needs to be like Baldurs Gate.
@zhoont Yep. They said it on their discord server. They said "We are still looking into this for the Xbox. However the Playstation will only support the text voice recognition option."
Without voice recognition this is an absolute no buy from me. If The Inpatient can have it then there's no excuse for Phasmophobia.
The game has too many issues to be anything higher than a 7. Anyone who has been playing MK for years can tell this was rushed. The game looks good and plays decent, but that's it. The Player One advantage bug and the mind numbing modifiers in Invasions Mode are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the issues this game has.
I didn't realize that this was a live service game? Who cares that support is ending for it if it's primarily single player. Not everything needs a bunch of DLC.
Does anyone know if there's adaptive triggers or haptics? For a Playstation centric website the lack of mentioning either of these in a review is baffling.
If anyone actually read the Bloomberg article it was written by Takashi. This dude always paints everything Playstation related negatively. The analyst that Takashi was quoting in the article clarified his statement on Twitter and the game met expectations.

There's no way people actually believe anything that comes out this dudes mouth, right? Everything he says is clearly PR speak.

Hopefully this delay will allow them to implement voice recognition.

Those people are going to be shocked when they can't play their games anymore.
