Re: Soapbox: Sony's Bet on PSVR2 Is Brave and That's a Brilliant Thing

@JAMes-BroWWWn It seems like they have more teams now than they ever have. Most teams are developing 2-3 titles at once now and PlayStation has partnerships with a number of new studios (Firehaven, Deviation, etc) making exclusives so, call me optimistic, but I think they manpower to pull it off. I hope the quality of their games don’t slip as a result.

This is a good thing. It’s better to have a dedicated team handling ports instead of the developers having to deal with an additional platform. PC users get a better port since Nixxes are one of the best in the industry, and this allows developers to have more time with whatever they’re working on. A more polished game and less left on the cutting room floor due to time constraints are things we all want.

@Amusei I started playing it on PS4 Pro and it’s decent as long as literally nothing else is going on.

Finish a gen? It hitches.
Finish the last gen? You’d better hope you aren’t near the killer for the next 1-1.5 secs.

On PS5? It’s gorgeous and runs flawlessly at 60FPS. Well, as gorgeous as it can be. They’re constantly redoing the assets, which is nice.

@Agramonte I got tired of sifting through the eShop titles. It feels like I’m on one of those freeware sites. Also, it’s great for consumers to get a platform-specific trailer so they know how it’ll work on the hardware. Especially since demos aren’t a thing anymore.
