I think there is a very thin line between playing on nostalgia and reskinning old content. Its hard to see which side this expansion is on. Moon was never my favourite location and the hive have been done to death. I liked Forsaken. I came to the realisation that the campaigns are usually fun but as soon as you come to doing the same stuff weekly thats when it gets dull.

Why do the bad guys look like Destiny Guardians? Thought it was a weird crossover to begin with.

I wonder if there will be the usual black friday deal as it could be well worth the price if there is a black friday discount. I think it would of carried a little bit more weight if announced with the state of play last week.

Possibly Ghostbusters at some stage and supposedly Cat Quest II is out this month as well no definitive date yet but that one will be a definite purchase.

Has this changed I thought when originally announced you got Forsaken with it and not the annual pass stuff. If you don't get Forsaken seems a wasted opportunity as that was the best bit of Destiny 2

Edit after a bit of googling it doesn't seem like Forsaken was ever included obviously got the wrong end of the stick when first reading the news. Shame really think giving away Forsaken would of got more people to upgrade to the new expansion as that's the best bit of Destiny 2

I loved 5 and thought in was perfectly fine using a controller. Will pick this up at some stage need to clear a few backlog games first before buying more games.

My opinion is State of plays would nicely supplement the big conferences showing smaller games and giving updates and release dates but as Sony hasn't done any big show in 15 months these state of plays are a bit lacking. In 15 months since E3 2018 we have had 3 state of plays I think so that's about an hour of news from Sony. Compare that to what Nintendo and Microsoft have done in the same period both there e3 showings beat what Sony have showed in the last 15 months. I know they are busy concentrating on PS5 but does feel there letting the PS4 slowly die.

For me the main problem is there has been been no major announcement from Sony for over a year. They haven't done a PSX or E3 in the past year and nothing at gamescom last major announcement was GoT and after last of us is out that's the only thing Sony have. Feels like Sony has limped through the last couple of years. I don't mind the state of plays think they would work better alongside Sony having a big show each year either E3 or PSX as on there own they seem very sparse.

So whats MLB going to be swapped with as they did with PES think they should offer PES or MLB or give both away. Sports games are very tricky as a lot of sports are American or European centric. You could probably get away with a tennis or golf game not that there are many for PS4 these days.

@Enuo I agree, its a big turn off for me as soon as I hear Souls like I lose a lot of interest in the game.

@ShogunRok That's good will pick it up at some point and will try to finally finish it.

I have tried to get through 8 about 4 times think I managed to get to the end of the second disk one time. the junctioning stuff is what killed it for me when I first played it. The other problem I had was i would always get side tracked by Triple triad to me that was the best part of the game. May pick it up in a sale does anyone know if the cheats disable trophies? I know they didn't in the 7 remaster.

Wonder if Palmer still gets hit by the lorry at Rocket town could be disturbing in today's graphics!

@ApostateMage If memory serves me right you get Curse of Osiris, Warmind and Forsaken but none of the season pass content. Curse of Osiris is pretty poor, Warmind is ok and Forsaken is pretty good so would say there should be enough content to keep you entertained for a bit.

@kyleforrester87 Very well said agree whole heartily. Vault of Glass I think was the pinnacle of Destiny the only other raid that come close is probably kingsfall. Destiny was new and exciting and its own thing but the last couple of years they have just been copying what other games are doing. If they add a battle royal mode they would of completely sold out.

It is a shame Destiny had its own identity now it wants to be like every other game this news makes me even less likely to play Destiny again. There is no denying that the gunplay is probably best in the business.

Very good month for me don't own either and both games I would try for free I may need to play through Darksiders 1 and 2 first have both in my backlog never got round to playing them.

Wasn’t the greatest of conferences some odd choices like the fifa stuff and epic games store reel thing. Didn’t have a major reveal which let it down.

probably the game I am most looking forward to for the rest of 2019 the first game was amazing had a smile on my face the whole way through.

Feel a bit sorry for gamescom a few years ago it was having conferences from Sony and Microsoft just doesn't seem to get any hype last few years

This is one of the reason I quit Destiny after my 1000+ hours i have put into it. It is always a case of pay us more money first it was the expansions then it was expansion and eververse then finally it became expansion, eververse and annual pass. Micro transactions in a full price game with paid expansion is just pure greed. Its a real shame as the game itself is really fun to play just got fed up of the constant money grabbing.

PS3 - Uncharted 2
PS4 - Yakuza 0

PS2 and PS4 was hard for me PS2 mainly because I cant really think of many games that stood out to me only ones that came to mind were Ratchet and Clank and FFX. Ps4 was tough because of there are quite a lot of very good games released this generation sadly I think Destiny may of had the biggest impact this gen even though I dont play it anymore other games of note would be Astrobot, spiderman and god of war

Seems a common theme with THQ Nordic with the highly priced editions presume its where they make a lot of money. As there is no way that edition is worth £350!

Borderlands 3 has got to be this years biggest mess. With all the allegations about Randy Pitchford, the whole there is no Micro Transactions statement when there are and now this. Everything outside the game seems a huge mess. I do wonder how it will review as so far it looks like more Borderlands which is fine but doesn't seem to have added anything think it will be quite divisive when released.

Cool idea not sure there is a game I would even contemplate competing in though!

I knew it bought Sniper Elite a week or so ago but on disc so I can sell that and get the digital version been tempted a few times on wipeout glad I resisted the urge. A lot better month this time.

Apart from Messi obviously seems odd choices all round. I presume the Ronaldo court case made things awkward as they could of had Messi and Ronaldo on the same cover!

This is becoming a common Activision approach did the same with COD release it without microtransactions to get more positive reviews then add them a couple of months later. Still baffles me how Activision don't get as much hate as EA they are as bad as each other.

Sniper Elite 4 as i just picked it up! Vampyr has been reduced in a lot of places so that might be a good call.

The last couple of months have been poor sale wise. There seem to be a few games that seem to never go on sale. Had Job simulator on my wishlist for 18 months and hasn't been on sale.

I don't think that looks bad the character models lack a bit of personality. I do wonder how co-op will work as cause I am picturing in my head someone playing as Iron man flying to objective and killing everything before the rest of the team get there.

Definitely one to keep an eye on, I picked up Yesterdays Origins dirt cheap a couple months back and enjoyed it very much for something purchased on a whim so will look forward to this.

One thing I noticed was Y's IX didn't even know they were making it will keep an eye on that from now on as Y's VIII is up there as best JRPG for PS4.

I do like after all these stability updates my Pro still sounds like it is going to take off on most games I play.

The decision seems to get stranger and stranger they annoyed some people with the original announcement then annoyed another lot of people with the swap. If they added Detroit i think they would have come out ok. If the changed it because of backlash why leave it to an hour before the games went live. They could of announced the change on Friday or even Monday morning would of been better.

Will you be reviewing Stranger Things 3 the game? See it was released today but a bit pricey for an impulse purchase.

@get2sammyb Yeah I was the same so your not on your own they should have added Detroit to the games or gave you the choice of Detroit or PES.

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi The free version is online only isn't it apart from offline exhibition matches. I want to play league and cup games offline against AI so the free version wouldn't be suitable for me

They could of added Detroit instead of swapping was going to play PES for a little bit to get a football fix before the new English season starts in a couple of months. Detroit isn't to bad for me played it on disk and sold it so now I can download it and get some more trophies if I want
