Re: Review: The Order: 1886 (PlayStation 4)

Great review, and can't say I'm at all surprised tbh. This was never going to be a day 1 purchase for me, despite the lack of games this month, so I'm not overly disappointed really.
I've learnt my lesson from pre ordering new IPs this gen with Destiny. Such a let down that turned out to be in the end. Only nailed on pre orders for me this yr will be Witcher 3, Arkham Knight and Uncharted 4

Re: You Won't Need to Be a Knight to Nab the Platinum Trophy in PS4's The Order: 1886

@seeafish i agree there needs to be ballance. I still wanna feel I've achieved something when getting the Platinum trophy. I only have one and that was Infamous Second Son. Some say that was too easy but I'd say it was about right... had to play game atleast twice, made you play as good karma and bad karma so you got to experience both story paths, plus had to beat it on highest difficulty.

The closest i came before was AC4 Black Flag. But that required getting level 55 on multiplayer that, frankly, nobody cared for. Games such as GTA, TLOU, etc just seem too hard and you would need to dedicate a huge amount of playing time to that one game. I don't get loads of time to play games, which is why i usually disregard the platinum hunt as 9/10 times its too much

Re: Naughty Dog: We're Making Uncharted 4 a Game We Want to Play

This is great that they are sticking to what they want to do, rather than buckling under industry pressure. I'm getting bored of open world and its getting to the point where "Linear" is becoming a dirty word! But linear is good when done right. If you think about it, films are linear, but they tell you a story. Games do that too so they don't all have to be open world or free roam

Re: Can't Connect to PSN? This Trick Is Working for Some

edgey

No joy with PSN today, even trying this trick. But as mentioned above, it's annoyingly affecting offline games that require you to sign in... such as Dragon Age. Got this for Xmas and can't play it. Fortunately got GTA5 too so that works offline.
This is why so many gamers list their sh*t when Microsoft initially announced the XB1 would be "always online". Remember when you could just put a disc/cartridge into a cobsole and turn it on and play it right away? Now you need to register or sign in to some 3rd party account like Uplay or whatever, or it needs a patch or update before it can be played... are we going forwards or over complicating what was inve such a simple thing

Re: There's a Deep Downgrade in These Deep Down PS4 Screens

edgey

The very first trailer blew me away... but after that they have gotten less and less impressive. To the point where i literally don't care at all for this game. It looks boring and as mentioned above, the free2play (pay2win) model is not one to be encouraged! ! It needs to be killed off
