Interesting I just assumed this was already a thing. I don't own a PS5 yet but I used one extensively at my old job. However the game I worked on doesn't even have a disc version so never dealt with that. While the switch doesn't install cart games to the system/sd card it has worked in a somewhat similar way that if you had a cart first then download a game it won't show up as a another entry, itll launch off of the same tile and vis-versa.
@Wookers84 Oh I haven't had any issues either. I just mean that eventually it may happen. I hate to be paranoid about it, but someday, maybe in a few years we could lose access to redownloading if they ever decide to take the servers down. The simple answer is to just download the games now but hard drives can fail. I'm glad we can still do it to this point so I'm hopeful Sony comes up with a long term solution for this in the future.
@lordzand Correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't that what happened with the wii shop channel? Where regardless of if you purchased the games or not, you can no longer download them. Of course this is Sony and that was Nintendo but the possibility is still there. I dread the day when I may not be able to redownload my ps3 games.
Well this kinda sucks, I have 1,2, and 3 digitally on vita already but still haven't got ultra despair girls and its the first to go. Hopefully it goes on sale before the deadline cause I don't wanna spend $30 on it.
The slick and slim is pretty nice but I really like the eraser. With the dualsense having the two tone look, I really think the PS5 could look something like this and I feel like the cube like design adds to this especially since the One X is also a tower
I could be wrong here but I think previously it was only impossible to purchase a game previously redeemed through PS+ only if your sub was active. If your subscription was inactive you could purchase a game regularly and then whenever you resubscribed to PS+, said game would no longer have the expiration date as you now truly owned it.
@WanderingBullet Well yes and no, it depends on the type of plan you get. The entry plan which is what I used to do is $13 a month for 1 character per server. The standard plans are $15, $14, and $13 per month for 30, 90, and 180 days respectively, which allow for 8 characters per server but a casual player would have no need for that many characters so the entry plan of $13 a month is the best option in this case. The 60 day time card is $30 but it's for the standard sub and not the entry level which is already $15 anyway so you don't actually save with a time card.
@ellsworth004 $13 a month for the base plan and up to $15 if you want more characters per server. There's also 60 day subscription cards but these days they cost more than just paying per month. Overall I think it's worth it if you end up playing a few times a week.
@ellsworth004 You definitely can, I used to do it when I owned it on PS3 and pc before they got rid of the PS3 version. My friend also switches from PS4 to PC if someone is using the tv

Re: Can You Name the PS4 Game from Just the Box Art?
5/10, a lot harder than I expected tbh

Re: Did You Know There's An Easy Way to Turn Off Your PS4 Controller?
I've known this for years but that's because I bought a PS4 controller to play my Steam games before I even owned a PS4 itself.
