I am considering reporting Argos to Trading Standards. Upon further research, I have found it is impossible to buy a vita from ANY store in the UK OR online. As it is only until 22nd October (Tues) that status is unlikely to change, making the ad PURE bs. 2 games and a memory card free? Might as well promise a Rolls effing Royce with it too!!

Sony are very very cute yknow. they've buried m$ in this contest so far.. which leads me to think cynically that this was all part of the plan. release a bunch of games all on one day or stagger them over a couple of financial quarters. they already have a good idea how many consoles they're going to sell. the pre order marketing won't be affected, BUT NOW those millions of ps4 owners playing their (fewer) launch titles have something to buy in a month or two AS WELL AS what they will play on launch day. after all, you can only play one game at a time! Reflecting on the fact that I changed my pre order from watch dogs bundle to killzone bundle, I'll probably have both in a few months, when I might have overlooked killzone and been content with watch dogs. Clever Sony.. been doing this a long time yknow (marketing that is). Mr gates was listening to his sony walkman long before he was a billionaire...
I agree that the lineup they are showcasing is poor. they should want to amaze people with visually stunning stuff for an event like this. I would have taken the 60 mile round trip to my nearest show if ac4, killzone, resogun, drive club lol, or even NFS rivals were on show.. but marmite-like (love or loathe them) indie games don't show enough of the next gen leap in my opinion.
Its still worth the effort tho. In the short time I was on I got to level 6, got a nice car and bought a swish apartment. Its only day 1 so I really didnt get mad once server troubles stopped me. Ive never lost my character yet tho!
I had bought a jap import in April may time (for £450 with Tekken). it came with hard wired rgb to scart lead, so when I first booted tekken running full screen and speed I was blown away. I only had 2 games for ages. but tekken and ridge racer kept me very busy. remember the free games of Galaga and galaxians u got as these loaded? It was an amazing inclusion.
I was excited for the UK release tho cos of the launch titles wipeout and destruction derby.

All these ftp games are really exciting.. but will they really be anything but superficial unless u buy stuff in game? the more ftps released the more sceptical I become
Sony don NEED to respond - they are clearly winning this race, but I hope they do.. free fifa14? I aint gunna turn that down. But im not going to buy a machine to use for 10 years for ONE free game!
