@Boerewors I get your point about retro games mate, but you're considering the future being the same as the past, when in fact the future is just that. U will generally only be able to get ANY media, albeit film, music or games from some distant faceless storage soon. If u want to watch an old old film u still can. By Netflix or other services. I'm a retro gamer too, but I embrace technology today that enables me to retro game, listen or watch. I miss the old arcades.. Green beret, Kung fu master etc. Just cos the arcades are gone doesn't mean my cabinet with mame built in won't let me play them!
You'll be able to play a fully patched game of the year edition of bloodborne in twenty years mate - somehow.. I promise.

I love Driveclub. Apart from being an amazing looking and feeling racing game, and in spite of the very dodgy release, this is EXACTLY how a game should be supported. this is the true glory of DLC and season passes. Not bolted on extra chapters or hidden content only accessible with pre order codes. THIS should be the blueprint for true online game support. It's the only season pass I've found worthy of purchase. Just awesome.

Driveclub IS awesome, and gets better every month. I love it so much I spent £600 on a omega gt racing rig. Project cars might be ace too, or might not be. Live for today people!

Someone once said time is relative. I finished and platted farcry4 in a week. I took it back to Game n got most of the value back. Dragon age took over 100 hours of my life before I traded that in. Both were excellent games. I don't care less how long it takes. A good game is a good game.

Can u say if u have got your review copy of order 1886 yet please? I'm very interested to see if they confident in their game, or are holding even review copies back a la dying light. Cheers

It makes sense to me! Why cant they be working on both? If i was in a resteraunt and my meal was late i wouldnt expect the entire 15 strong kitchen staff to be beavering away to get me my pie n chips! That would be rediculous. So would an entire studio working on streamlining net code?

This was inevitable. Just like the pc scene years before it, once u allow games to be released unfinished and unbug tested, corrected later by patches, then most games released will have these problems. Patching allows complacency. Simples

@Savino u should really try the experience for yourself before dismissing an entire generation of consoles based on the word of journalists. I love my ps4. Dont let the hyper critics put u off some really fun experiences out there

B-. Im sick of ps3 slightly shiner re releases, and disappointed that so many games promised this year have been delayed. But, ive played consistently all year long and enjoyed my machine overall. Ps, Driveclub has online issues yes, but its a fantastic driving game at its core. Pushsquare are too hard on it. Gtavs online launch was a joke too, but i dont remember any kind of panning to the extent driveclub has had. Its great! Simple as!

Well i have just upgraded to 2.0. I then went to themes and sony have kindly given us... None. The only theme i can choose is the Flow which is default. Thanks for that Sony!!

Re Pure Pool. I love it too. Im level 47 now, but I turned pro at 45 and STILL havent got the pro trophy, in spite of the patch saying the trophies are fixed. They are not. But the other improvements are good tho

I have the same issue. Ive had my ps4 since day1 and it NEVER patches or updates when on standby. My ps3 does tho, so I know its not my setup (router etc). And yes yes YES the settings are right

I agree. I don't read anywhere that gamers are dissatisfied with being re-sold the same games but just a bit shinier. Is it just me?? But you're right, this need to stop. They are not enough to justify the leap to ps4.

I think its EXACTLY the problem! As you say Gamer83, their game studio outputs are incredibly lacking. Only Driveclub is left for this year! Nobody bought the ps4 for networking Sony.. get on with the games!!!

What a croc. A year ago Sony assured us that the ps4 was for the gamers. It seems their agenda was the same as microsofts afterall - a network machine. What a joke, when the ps3 STILL has more functions than the ps4! I am TODAY more disapointed with Sony than ever. Watch Dogs has proven yet again that the long wait for a true next-gen game experience is still way off. I have had my ps4 since day one, but am beginning to regret my purchase. It feels like Ive been duped into buying what I thought was the next generation of gaming, when the last 6 months and today especially (watch dogs just looks like a downgraded "Arcade Conversion" of the demo displayed 2 years ago!) it seems all I have bought is a PS3Turbo. It gives the exact same experience, just a little smoother. Reminds me of upgrading my spectrum48k to the Spectrum128.

It makes me laugh that my ps plus Instant Game Collection on my ps4 only ever has one or two games in it at any one time. At present the whole collection on offer is... dead nation. haha

Finally a re release I would buy. it would satisfy my RPG need til elder scrolls online.

I will cherish that feeling I remember when I got my jap ps1 and turned it on for the first time. I was hoping to recapture that, but realistically I doubt I'll feel the same awe cos I'm older and wiser, and there's not really a killer app like tekken or ridge racer. I may be wrong tho, I'm still stoked for next Friday

3d is great but only if implemented well. super stardust and wipeout were fantastic in 3d. I can't help feeling disappointed at the lack of support on ps4.. after all most big action films have 3d versions these days. shame the games industry has given up too early

I, I, I... That's all I'm reading. just because the lack of these fundamentally used features are or aren't used by you, does not take away the principle here. The ps4 is the next gen games machine from Sony. just like the iphone14e will one day be the next gen phone from apple. what if apple just decide not to support features like games in that version? There would be hell to pay. Many people have done or will sell their ps3 in order to afford the next gen. They should have known long before now that they were actually losing some cool features. thats the point here, not "I'm alright jack"

The only Vita games I'll get are PS+ freebies as I bought it simply for another screen and controller for my ps4. I finally got one on eBay btw. Console and 2 old games for £112

@get2sammyb Thanks for your help but that was the first thing I tried. Tesco have them for next day collection at £139 including free 8meg memory card and 10 DLC games, so for me thats a better deal. Cheers all
