So, the PS3 is not dead, but it's definitely entering the twilight years of its life. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent to me that I won't be packing up the platform soon, as I have dozens of sealed titles I want to play on the machine. Here are a few highlights:
* Batman: Arkham Origins * Puppeteer * Resident Evil 6 * Resident Evil Chronicles HD (the light gun games) * Puyo Puyo Tetris * Aquanauts Holiday * Anarchy Reigns * Dragon's Dogma * Call of Duty: World at War * Max Payne 3 * And many, many PlayStation Plus titles...
Persona 4 Arena Anarchy Reigns MGR Revengeance Fallout 3 Duke Nukem Forever (probably will keep it sealed for posterity) Final Fantasy X-X2 Remastered Batman Arkham Origins Assassin's Creed II A borrowed copy of LA Noire that belongs to my brother.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Play Dragon's Dogma now...
And unless you REALLY like quick time events don't play Resident Evil 6.
I haven't had my PS3 for a long time, but I still have a few old games I still need to finish...
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (I didn't even play past the tutorial yet, and I've already started on 2.5...) Ratchet and Clank Trilogy (I'm in the middle of the first game still) Divekick (Not sure if this can be considered a game that counts for a backlog, but I had intended to at least complete each character's story. I've only done two or three so far.) And a few PS Classics (Chrono Cross, FFIX, Crash Bandicoot 2, and FFVII, to be specific)
"Little by little. Each day as it comes. That's how we should live."

Haha, I am expecting Resident Evil 6 to be terrible, but I'm a big fan of the franchise, so I feel obliged to play it nonetheless. Apparently, it's like a 30 hour slog, though. That's basically what's put me off.
Let's see.
Valkryia Chronicles. I only played like one mission in it...
Ni No Kuni, got distracted... really need to finish it as it's a magical experience.
Castlevania: SOTN Great game, but got distracted... again.
Stealth Inc.
FF7
Chrono Cross
Stuff that matters less:
Need for Speed: Carbon I got this for after I beat Most Wanted (PS2), which never happened....
Medal of Honor: Airborne
I have no intention of ever finishing so I'm not sure it couts:
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
This doesn't even include a long list of PS Plus games I haven't really played either.

I bought this but still haven't played it either. One day...
My copy is still sealed despite picking it up almost a year ago. I keep telling myself I should get around to playing it, but always end up putting it off.
Too many to list but here are a few:
Sherlock Holmes: Crime & Punishment
Yakuza 4
Red Dead Redemption
God of War
God of War 2
Mass Effect 1-3
Fallout 3 & New Vegas
Kingdom Hearts 1.5
Tomb Raider
I have a huge PS3 backlog. Although I've had a PS3 since about 2008, I primarily used it as a Blu Ray player or to play Rock Band. So I basically skipped all of last generation, video-game wise.
My PS3 backlog includes:
Ni No Kuni
LA Noire
Remember Me
Eternal Sonata
Deadly Premonition
God of War 3
God of War Ascension
Red Dead Redemption
Valkyria Chronicles
Catherine
Bayonetta
Puppeteer
Vanquish
Even though I too have a (imo too big) PS3 backlog....I added one more to the list today...or actually, three.
Tales of Symphonica Chronicles/Graces F bundle was on sale, and even though I shouldn't have, I bought it.
Never finished Graces F back in the day because it just wasn't that good compared to Vesperia (best in the series imo) and never really got into it....Symphonica never played, and really want to at some point.
So besides that one, I still have;
-Ratchet and Clank Trilogy (halfway in part 2)
-Ni No Kuni (1/3 done I think)
-Persona 4 Arena (don't like fighting games, but love P4G so damn much, wanted more...barely played though)
-Borderlands GotY Edition (not even started that one yet)
-Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (halfway through I think)
And a lot, LOT of Plus titles, from which the following I really want to try sometime for certain;
-Remember me
-Batman Arkham Asylum (finished the game of 360, but love that game)
-Jak Trilogy
-Xcom
None, I don't own one and with all the games that I want to play on it like TLoU and Journey coming out as remasters on the PS4 I probably won't get one.

@Tasuki: ain't that the truth! Now if only all developers followed thatgamecompany's example and gave free access to remaster that were originally owned on the PS3, that would be remarkable. C'est la vie!
Tales of Xillia
Tales of Symphonia HD
Kingdom Hearts 2.5
Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction
Ratchet HD Trilogy
Valkyria Chronicles
Persona 4 Arena
I also have quite a huge digital backlog because of all the sales which includes games I've already played on the 360.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
GTA IV & DLC
Dragon Age Origins and Awakening
The Walking Dead Season 1 & 2
Tokyo Jungle
Rain
Castle of Illusion
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Limbo
My ps3 backlog is HUGE, I bought it in april with 46 (sold 16 of them) games, already had 40+ games through plus and bought 17+ physical games for a cheap price and bought more then 30+ digital games in sales...
From these 117+ games I only completed about 5 of them because I already had a psvita, ps4, wiiU and 3ds backlog.
I won't post a complete list unless someone is interested
It includes several lego games, ni no kuni, all 3 mass effects, yakuza 4 and red dead redemption.
