To be fair, thats nothing that a patch cant solve, just add more weapons, a few more chalice "random" dungeons and solve the healing pvp stuff.
The problems with the lack of weapons is that if you go with A build, you will use X weapon, B will go for Y, and theres not much else. (Not to mention THERES ONLY 1 BLOOD ROCK IN THE GAME PER RUN to get a weapon to +10
But this is all personal opinion and those are all minor problems in the grand scheme of things, i still love the game and made my ps4 purchase well worth it... will play it again once in a while, but it doesnt give me thar urge to go ahead and try new stuff like DkS 1/2 did
If this was an EA/Ubi game it would be doomed, but ill give Sony and FromSoftware the benefit of the doubt
Maybe the problem is aproaching this game as a Soul game
Beat father what's his name tonight (second go, pretty happy with that!!) quite enjoying this to be honest will be picking up Dark Souls 2 when I'm done for sure.
Online comunity its already diying since the release of Dark Souls 2
adding an offline option was pretty much a death sentence
I don't know I still get invaded like crazy, get a random coop game within a minute when I want to and yeah of course I have my 2-4 friends that always are within reach of the level range!

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
Yeah, I wouldn't say the online community is drying up at all. Half of my friends list is still playing this.
And so will I! Im so happy with my purchase, best game (besides GTA V and Helldivers) so far on PS4. But as I posted on the frontpage comments, I don't necessarily think its brutally difficult, it's oldschool. Similar to the games back in the day. Where the game demanded patience and some intellect from the players. Love it!

Finished Bloodborne on Sunday, really enjoyed it. Will definitely be giving new game plus a go at a later date. Playing Souls now, taken me 10 hours to get a foot in the door but think I can make some progress now. I broke all my weapons and had no way to repair/buy new ones but 4 hours grinding with my fists and I got that blacksmiths door open..which pissed me off because he's a damn blacksmith and can't get through a crappy lock? Plus the roofs missing off his house, could have got in that way? Just saying.
I beat the game this evening. Really enjoyed it. In fact, my addiction to it has been a bit of a problem, as I should have been playing other things at times. I've just got the Chalice Dungeons left to do for the Platinum now.

Grats mate, taking my time though, but I'll definitely go for Plat too!!

Finished the game again with a Arcane/Skill+ Bloodtinge run, but the lack of weapons show, once again i choose the Ludwig Holy Blade and to be fair adding points to other stat didnt change much things but it was pretty fun anyway (not to mention i love sending Father Gascoigne over the stairs to oblivion in one single hit ), will try a lvl1 run some day
It has started to grow on me a lot more, but i still think it lacks on the replayability department compared to the Soul games, especially online, 6 players online its so much fun
Bloodborne nails it so good on atmosphere and interconectivity of its world which make its first run through the game amazing, but it lacks on the whole "be what you want to be", im missing the whole set of infuse of dark souls, the different builds & weapons you could use (seriously, PvP feels way too similar, i loved the variability of DkS). I
think Bloodborne its great and it was well worth of my PS4 purchase, but that doesnt mean it has problems

Have you done all runs with Ludwig Holy Blade? I used it for quite a while, it seems like a pretty cheap weapon to be honest - I'd have thought it best to mix it up in the NG+? The cane whip looks good.
So I've got this game two days ago and.... I don't know. It is well executed, but the loading times are killing any interest I could have in it.
I think this game is really geared toward an audience that has a lot of time to kill. Either you are a student or someone that games quite a lot. I don't see any casual player trying to jump in and try to raise their skill up to the level (not mention stare at that Bloodborne logo about 10 minutes per hour)
I'll see on the next few days if my skill is up to the game, but I doubt I want to waste my time on this game :/

Give it 3-4 sessions. It took me at least 2 to start getting on with it. Grind enough echos to buy the hunter gear in the dream and you'll start feeling like you're making some progress. Once you get going you shouldn't be getting killed at such a rate. If you do die and lose a lot of echos just run past everything to go pick them up, it's pretty easy to dodge groups of enemies.
The long loading times really don't bother me. If I die, I normally need to chill for a minute anyway. Plus you know... smartphones. It's not like other games are super fast, or anything. This game is not meant to be played like Super Meat Boy, I don't think.
Yeah same, I thought it'd really annoy me but it doesn't.. 40 seconds isn't so long to wait, and like I mentioned you don't tend to die quite so often after the first couple of hours.
Isn't the next patch meant to be improving it a little anyway? I dunno, I'm done with it for now anyway can't be bothered with a NG+ at the moment. I'll give it another run through later in the year, though.
