Nice, second attempt is very impressive, definitely took me more than that. I thought she was fun to fight but l I reckon I would have really struggled had I fought her too early on.

@LieutenantFatman thanks - yeah it was close at the end, I had her posture close to breaking point but I wasn’t looking to hot either, surrounded by phantoms I nearly backed off but thought screw it and kept the pressure on and finally saw the deathblow marker. Could have gone either way to be honest!

And the main boss form the castle has been beaten but not killed. Sort of. Once you get into the flow of it it feels quite graceful. I like the little stand offs you have after a flurry deflected hits, felt like a being in a movie. Only took me a best part of an hour to do it lol.

Yes! Lady Butterfly is down. I switched from deflecting to dodging (which I think I was doing initially) and found it much easier, especially in the 2nd stage.

@kyleforrester Cheers! Snake eyes dude? Soz not sure who that is. To progress the story you need to go up on the castle rooftops and beat the main boss. I think the boss in the dungeons is optional. To get to the next location after the dungeon you need to head right after the NPC surgeon, through the water and down the lift.

@kyleforrester87 I know where you are now! I think that area is for a bit later on, I briefly got there but got destroyed so turned back.

After you kill the main boss in the castle it becomes clearer what you are supposed to be doing and where to go next, although the latter is entirely up to how to approach.

I take it you have beaten the ninja guy down the hole then?

@JohnnyShoulder yeah he took a few goes, you can get the drop on him through a hole in the ceiling above him that gets rid of one deathblow marker. It’s not the easiest because of the small room you’re in, I think you might have mentioned this fight earlier.

I just beat the mini boss in the dojo - it’s funny how he destroyed me on my first attempt, couldn’t even get a move in, then I beat him on my third attempt. You learn quick!

Then I got killed on the main boss just after, will try again later

@kyleforrester87 The camera few a wobbly on me a few times fighting the ninja guy, which didn't help lol. Think i used the flame vent to best him in the end.

Just beat a mini-boss in Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo. There are some unexpectedly weird enemies in this area, which I didn't think would happen from seeing the enemies you come across initially. Because I've been exploring I've got quite far into this area. It feels quite expansive and has some brilliantly designed parts, especially when you go up and around a section of the mountain.

This is incorrect, it is actually left after the NPC.

I defeated one of the snakes eyes, but I think it was a different one that @kyleforrester87 was trying to get past. That one is mandatory to proceed to the next area, but the one I fought was optional. I ran past her earlier and fully explored the area and the next (which is ace, full of grappling points), defeating another mini boss on the way. I did try to work my way back from the next save idol, but there were too many enemies to do that numerous times. So I went from the first one and used Gachiin's Sugar, which makes you harder to detect and prevents you from getting shot from all the snipers everywhere. Ran past the boss and waited a bit until she lost interested and then stabbed her in the back. I then used the poisoned blade prothestic, three full attacks so she becomes poisoned and she went down.

I'm now at the other snake eyes as I went there before but got destroyed. So that is tonights challenge.

One of the bosses farts poisonous clouds in your face and then throws poisonous poo at you. True story.

Well I got back to Sekiro after a week off. Managed to beat the Shinobi hunter on my second go, felt invincible, almost had the drunk fat bloke straight after, died and then utterly failed multiple times. Now watching tv.

Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot

@Rudy_Manchego Haha, it's the way it goes in these games, isn't it? You go away, come back, and you're suddenly better. Then the game shuts you down again.

I'm very near the end so I won't spoil anything, but last night I not only managed to beat the boss I was stuck on, I went on to beat the next major boss, and then got smacked down by enemies that should've been a piece of cake.

I'm pretty stuck on Genichiro Ashina. I can get into his third phase but I can't return his lighting attacks. I've got a feeling I need to keep a bit of distance, dodge his regular attacks (probably best not to parry) and then make sure I'm in the air when he uses his lightening. I managed it once so I'm sure I can manage it a few times.

The problem is I am not very patient on his first 2 phases so I'm often not even getting through those

He'll crack eventually...

@Quintumply @kyleforrester87 Yep - it was the same for the burning bull thing that charges you. Was sucking at parrying, left it for a day, then remembered the issue I had with Vicar Amelia in BB, turned off the lock on and just ran around it and only took one hit. Job done. I just want to beat the fat gimmer now. Struggling with timing on the parry's at the moment. I can get to his second health thing by using the samurai but just haven't broken posture yet. Probably me doing something wrong.

@Rudy_Manchego If I'm ever struggling deflecting or blocking attacks, I always try to dodge them instead. The fat guy telegraphs his moves and is quite slow, so you should be able to read his moves relatively easily.

@kyleforrester87 The same goes for the boss your on. I just dodged to the side and you can get a few attacks in. It is handy to keep your revives until the last phase, and try not to heal as his follow up attack is tricky to avoid/counter. One of his moves I found quite easy to miri counter, but everything else I deflected apart from unblockable attacks.
