To be honest I could never get into any Arc fighting games, although I've tried with XX Accent Core and Xrd. I think it's the emphasis on vertical movement that I dislike. Same reason why I never cared for games like Marvel VS Capcom or X-Men VS Street Fighter.

Capcom and SNK are my cup of tea for 2D and pseudo-2D fighters.

@WanderingBullet: Evil Ryu isn't in SFV to my knowledge, unless he's a secret character.
@Shillll: Unless Capcom have been a bit shady (which is always possible) the season pass is for the 6 characters and premium costumes but not early access perks.

@adf86: Oh, but it seemed like he was turning into Evil Ryu in the cinematic trailer, though. Unless he's not playable character? :/

@WanderingBullet: I've not seen it myself but if he is then cool, more fighters to play as right?

Btw, is anyone here getting the Mad Catz Street Fighter V FightPad PRO controller?

@adf86: Yes, it is. I'm just a casual player but if I enjoy playing SFV, I might just consider getting the controller pad ($59.99). Right now, I'm waiting for the reviews of the controller pad.

Nice, I heard its only $79.99. Can you only play fighting games with the arcade stick?

@WanderingBullet: Well I got a good deal on mine through GAME (the UK's GameStop) for £85 bundle which includes the Fightstick and SFV steel case with the bearded Ryu costume, and its Mad Catz so I thought it was reasonable. I'm not sure on if it plays other genre of games but will let you know of I find out. Choice over Fightstick o pad comes down to preference really, you get no immediate advantage for using stick.

@adf86: That is a good deal, by my rough calculations is around $17 cheaper. Amazon's pre-order bonus DLC is Bison's skin which is actually my least favorite among the four. That's neat that you guys are getting the steel case - I love steel cases. Even the US Collector's Edition doesn't come with a steel case. :/

@WanderingBullet I actually took a look at the pads, and they look pretty cool. Considering how crazy the sticks are priced, I might get one of those instead.

@DerMeister: Yeah, the colors are nice but I don't like the decals on any of them. lol The Alpha Fightstick is only 80USD, but yeah the other three are pretty expensive.

@WanderingBullet: Yeah I don't know the conversion rate for dollars from pounds but there maybe similar deals out there. Yeah the steel case looks pretty cool. Weird how some SKUs are available for certain territories.

I bought the Venom arcade stick (dual PS3/PS4) from Amazon for £70, had heard fairly mixed reviews, but also that it was easy to mod. Turns out the buttons are really, really spongy, so replaced those with Sanwa parts from arcadeworlduk.com - it all came to a little under £90 iirc, and it's now easily as good as my Xbox TE stick. Not as cheap as some of the options, but at the time it was £200 for a good PS4 stick. If anyone wants any details on that, let me know, and I'll see if I can dig out the exact parts I ordered.

Quick edit - it was really, really easy to mod. It sounds scary, and it was the first time I've ever done something like that, but it was literally a 10 minute job.

Well...the latest iteration of the World Warriors has arrived. If you bought the game, I hope you enjoy it, and if you're playing online then best of luck. Once support for 8 players lobbies comes we can do some mini Push Square tournaments.

Hopefully, my game will arrive by Thursday. They've already emailed me the Comixology code but not the M. Bison DLC, yet.

Mine is on its way, it will take a while.

I have a PS3 stick but those pads look nice, I wonder how good the d pad on them is.

@Shillll: My friend has the same stick that he has customized with Sanwa buttons also, & he say's it's as good as his other stick for almost half the price. I decided to spend a bit more money on one as it's going to last me years, so I don't mind doing that.

Edit: I've playing Street Fighter V most of the day & the gameplay really is phenomenal, the art work & graphics are excellent as well as the sound. Each character has there own style & really are unique, by the time March comes around with the new modes I'll still be getting used to all the characters. I also like the menu layout & the music in the game, for me the game is easily a 10/10 as I know more modes are coming in the next few weeks.

@banacheck: No worries, I'll wait for the reviews of the controller pad first.
