Maybe I'm the minority but for now I am pretty busy with the game and I don't feel like it's that bare, considering it is Street Fighter. I feel like we had WAY less than this multiple times.
I actually like survival and playing it to unlock costume colours and earn fight money! Overall I feel like the quality is very high and the quantity...is on the way. Plus, I don't even think I can manage to unlock everything before the update but maybe they mean March 29th with "march update" and I will be hilariously wrong.
Does anybody know how much is Alex going to cost in fight money?
I just picked up the game. The gameplay is really good. I have a mini Horizon Arcade stick, but I will upgrade to a bigger one in the future. I really wish my arcade stick on the 360 would work on my PS4. Lol, the game could use more modes, but survival mode ain't that bad. I play mostly for fun, but I always try to improve my game. My PSN is shonen86 if anybody want to play.

@Feena Current plan is that characters are worth 100,000 in Fight Money.
When I finally get a PS4, I'll some guys and gals on here for matches.

@DerMeister: Oh, cool I could already grab him basically Hit me up for the matches when you get the console ...I am competent but not a pro player at all!
I see the SFV logo available for selection during the "Please select your Home" process. What happens if I choose that logo as my home instead of choosing a country? Does it affect which region I'll play in?
Like you there is no way I'll been done by March learning all the characters, I've already spent hours in training mode. Survival Mode is good to, completing Survival Mode on every difficulty & with every character is going to take some time too. Love Street Fighter V & as time goes by it's only going to get better, looking forwards to the new modes come March.
@sub12 This may sound weird, but I do have my criticisms of the game and worries as well, but the fighting seems to be really good and if the servers hold and the online portion is good, I can see myself enjoying the game despite it's problems. I've said before that the launch was unacceptable and I don't think that Capcom should be let off the hook, but that isn't going to stop me from getting it at some point. I'm a huge SF fan, and I just don't feel right missing out on it. Granted, I do agree that this isn't worth $60, not even $30 honestly, so I'll probably get it secondhand or after the price is reduced. I don't even have a PS4 yet, and I don't know when I'll get one. Could be after more content is added, I'm not a fortune teller. I have two kinds of expectations for games: My personal expectation, and how I think others will enjoy it. On a large scale, I am disappointed with how the game is handled, but it may not hinder my personal enjoyment.
So if that makes me an apologist, then I apologise for annoying you. I'm not trying to convince anyone that the game is perfect.

@sub12: I get what you mean but I wouldn't call the game half-assed. It's very well-tuned. Its package is lacking compared to other games...games whose chore mechanics are not half as good as SF5. Should this have lunched in June? Absolutely. But aren't we kind of losing the notion of what a good game actually is here?
@DerMeister:
The game is actually really good. I'm disappointed I have to give it back to my friend after this weekend. Survival mode is extremely fun, the gameplay itself is sublime, absolutely brilliant, that's what makes it all the more disappointing that the complete package isn't there. As I've said before, this would be an easy 9/10 game, right up there with Bloodborne as the best exclusives on the console if Capcom had just put in an Arcade mode and had the 'story expansion' that's set to come out in June, ready to go. It is what it is and I think this game will be looked at better as time goes on, much like how Xbox One owners, myself included, are loving Killer Instinct. Just from a pure gameplay perspective though, and being fair, there isn't a fighting game this gen that is on the same level as SF V. That's why as p*ssed as I want to be at it, I can't be in the end. I'll probably buy my own copy in March.
I have decided I am going to pick this up in June when its cheaper and is in full working order. Had enough of companies pulling this rubbish.
I work hard for my cash. I think @sub12 and I are so disappointed as we like the franchise. I'm gonna replay ssf4u instead as I never gave it a fair crack on the ps4, whilst I wait for the games price to drop off a cliff (which it will).

@themcnoisy By all means, do so. That's probably what I'll end up doing. Although all I have for my Street Fighter fix at the moment is SFIII. I'm honestly glad I don't play that game online, because trying combos in 3rd Strike would give me arthritis.

Or the fact it’s an exclusive on a console that isn’t doing so hot. Content™-wise, Splatoon was hurting at launch. The single-player could be completed in a few hours, and the multiplayer only had five maps. Worse, Splatoon does this peculiar thing where it limits the maps you can play on, depending on the time of day. Five maps really meant two maps on rotation, which you had to play over and over again until the game decided to change them. The starting maps were pretty good, but it was pretty easy to get sick of them. This is where Nintendo’s content support plan came in. Splatoon’s launch came with the promise of future content.
I think every fan of Street Fighter was disappointed at launch lacking a Arcade Mode, only two-player-lobbies etc, but what can you do about it? buy it or don't. But I've also considered the future that i will not need to fork-out again for Ultra SFV, it's the only version I'll ever need for the whole generation. It's worth it for me because I'll be playing SFV a lot, it'll probably be the only fighting game I'll be buying this generation. Nintendo have already proven with Splatoon this sort of release can work, & Splatoon doesn't even have a big competitive scene behind it. Nor did it have the backlash.
Are the stories fun in this at all? I really want to buy this game but 60 euros seems like a lot. My internet is really shaky at the moment so I don't want to get this if you need to be online constantly.
@Wesker: Nothing much in regards to the stories and they're rather short. You'll need to be playing online to earn Fight Money and probably to level up as well. If you have unstable internet connection atm, I would advise you not to get this game.
@WanderingBullet: Thanks for the advice. It's kind of a bummer for casual Street Fighter fans like myself. I almost wish they'd used a DOA type roll out, where the base game with 2 characters is free then you buy add ons. Rather than selling a full priced games without the proper modes and features of a Street Fighter game.
