I figured it'd be cool to have a thread for new users to introduce themselves. That way it's easy to embrace somebody in to the community here. I mean Nintendolife has one we should have one too.
So, welcome everyone new here! Say whatever you'd like to about yourself. We can't bite across the internet sadly.

FullbringIchigo

@Kidfried sound good, OK let's think

"Hello i'm FullbringIchigo, i like to play games, JRPG's mainly and FINAL FANTASY in particular, i own all current gaming platforms although i might drop the XBOX because they keep breaking on me for no reason

i like Star Trek and my favourite series is Deep Space Nine and Captain Sisko is a bad ass

i'm also blind in one eye due to a car accident which also left me with permanent damage to many of my joints and bones especially my legs although i currently don't require the use of a wheelchair

and yes as my name suggests i am a Anime and Manga fan"

i will try to treat everyone fairly and with respect but if you attack me i WILL bite back

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!

Hello!

My name's Sammy. I've been making gaming websites for as long as I can remember, but somehow I managed to make one that people actually visit this time. Thank you!

I like video games (obviously), unhealthy food, sports, and running. I have terrible taste in music and my favourite colour is pink.

My favourite game ever is Shenmue 2 and my favourite movie is like... Transformers? (The proper 80s one with Galvatron.)

Random fact: I once won a poetry reading competition.

DerMeister

My name is DerMeister. I've been a member of the site since October 2014, and resident court jester.

I've been a PlayStation owner since I got my PS1 in 2000, and I've owned every one since, the only system I've never had being the Vita. My favorite of all the systems is probably the PS2. While PlayStation is my personal preference, I have no problems with Nintendo or Xbox, and have owned multiple Nintendo handhelds, a Wii, and an Xbox 360 in the past.

My favorite genres tend to be platformers, fighters and racers. My favorite game is Crash Bandicoot 2, and my favorite series is Metal Gear.

Outside of gaming I enjoy basketball, hockey (Which I've sadly fallen behind on), music (I even sang in a couple talent shows), reading (whenever I can), and I'm currently learning how to cook.

Hi i am MC Noisy

Been a member here for 3 and a half years and played games with quite a few members of our great community.

Pushsquare is my favourite gaming site as Sammy is an excellent writer and the team he has put together have viewpoints I tend to agree with.

Ive ended up on Playstation this gen as they also had / have similar values when it comes to full games at release and new IP.

Im an ex amateur boxer and MC in the 90/00s. Needless to say I had bad trainers for boxing and bad trainers (on my feet) whilst MCing. So never quite made it in either.

Throughout all that I had 4 kids and lived like a pikey around the UK as thats what boxers and MCs do in their spare time.

Ive had an epileptic career via university to a variety of mid management positions in blue chip companies. Ending up back in on Merseyside as Mrs Noisy got homesick.

Due to mortgages, kids and amazing crisps the last 4 or so years have been about saving money for those things. So Pushsquare has been a great place to hang out whilst waiting to get my freedom back.

Love you guys and gals. Peace out.

Rudy_Manchego

Hi y'all,

I'm Rudy Manchego and I play video games. Sometimes clothed, sometimes not.

I've been gaming off and on since I was a rather young child, my first system being a hand me down BBC Microcomputer in the 80's. Since then I was a 90's Nintendo fanboy with the NES, SNES and GB. Over the years I've had a PS1, PS2, N64, GC, DS, Wii, 360, PC and even at one stage an Atari Jaguar. I went off gaming a bit in the last gen but after having kids and not having real life adventures, I came back to gaming with the PS4 and hit Push Square in 2015. Since then I have got back into retro gaming and collecting consoles and bits and bobs, including a 2DS, PS3, PS Vita, PSTV, Switch, XB1.

What else about me? As a child I would often think I was being chased by a giant red squirrel called Cedric (which is ridiculous because, as everyone knows, red squirrels are all but extinct in the UK). I have literally beaten a one legged man in an as* kicking contest and once drank an entire pint of water in one go. I sleep upside down because I assume it works well for Batman and while I don't believe aliens have visited our earth and actually abducted people, I remain clenched all night just in case they come a probing.

Other than that, I work a high stress job in software where I blag technical skillz, but still wear geek t-shirts. I have recently started a comedy gaming podcast with a childhood friend which is teaching me a lot about editing bad sound effects. I have been told I am both unfunny and have an annoying voice so it's going well.

Push Square is great because the news and scope of gaming tastes have introduced me to new things I wouldn't have tried otherwise and the community is among the nicest on that there intraweb. That said, I mainly come for Sammy's avatar because I like Mars Attacks. Ack Ack.

Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot

crimsontadpoles

Hi, I'm Crimson. I've been here since early last year, when I got my PS4 (it feels much longer than that though).

I tend to alternate between the Sony and Nintendo sides of the force, but for now I'm more on Sony's side. I had a Game Boy Advance when I was younger, then family got a PS2, then I went back to Nintendo for the DS/3DS era, and now I'm enjoying my PS4.

My all time favourite game is 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, and Pokemon Soul Silver is a very close second.

My favourite game genres are generally platformers, action games, and RPGs, though I can enjoy all sorts of different types of games.

I also enjoy movies, especially comedy or action movies. Choosing a favourite movie is tricky, but I'll say either Dumb or Dumber, Dodgeball or Hot Fuzz, though I'm probably forgetting some great movies. I also quite enjoy anime, with Kill la Kill being my favourite series.

Wazeddie22

Howdy all,
My names Wazeddie22 and like everyone here I also like playing videogames.
Apart from the Atari that my older brother, sister and i received as a gift one Christmas along long time ago to share i didant really get into videogames until Nintendo started releasing their Game And Watch series..Of which I tried to collect as many as I could.
Then I bought a Sega Mega Drive and that was the start of my love affair.
Unfortunately when I was 17 I became seriously ill With What the Doctors Called Good Pastures Disease.Luckily I survived..no really..so I could carry on playing for a bit longer,in fact after being off life support within a few months I was even allowed to set up my Megadrive and continue my Ren And Stimpy and Landstalker game.I had a roomie for a short while who also enjoyed the games but sadly he died on his 18th birthday.
I'm 44 now and so far I'm on my second kidney transplant,My hearing totally sucks now too so I'm not the most social person which doesant help with my job and I've been employed with Royal Mail for nearly 28 years which I totally hate now but it's a job.
My games have kept me going through all of life's up and downs and i love all kinds of games...Apart from sport that is.My favourite console at the moment is the Ps4 followed extremely closely by the Switch.Ps2,PS1 and Megadrive were my faves before.
I have good taste in music and good taste in tv but I won't give you any examples.

LieutenantFatman

Hey peeps,

Lt. Fatman is the name, and gaming is the.. game? Wait, erm.
Anyway, I work in emergency services, so despite the username I do my best to keep fit and in shape. So video games for me are a great way to unwind and they tend to work really well for a bit of escapism. I also find a bit of climbing or a good scifi / fantasy novel work well for that as well, as they tend to require all of my attention.

Pushsquare has been my first place to go for gaming news for 3 years now, and they're still doing a top job of it. Keep up the good work, ladies and gents!

This is cool, learning all these facts about everyone!

Howdy, I'm "smelly_jr" on this site. I work in the architecture industry, and man am I burned out. I dream of a weekend I can just relax and play video games (I asked my wife for that on my last birthday, but the new puppy made sure that didn't happen). Aaaauugghhh!!

Normally, I like RPGs (Mass Effect and Dragon Age are my favorite modern game series), but since my free time is shredded into pieces and scattered throughout the day, I've taken up fighting games on my Vita and PS4 to scratch my gaming itch. Street Fighter, Soulcalibur, King of Fighters...you name it, I suck at it (but I'm training all the time to be better!).

Also, I'm from California, but my pops is straight outta England so...there's that...(I know a lot of your are from the UK and Europe)

Make it a great day!

Jaz007

My name is Jaz007. I'm a young adult, in college and working a unloading trucks and stocking at Wal-Mart. I love gaming here of course (I'd be surprised if you were here and didn't). I'm a Playstation man at heart, but also like Nintendo. I've looked for reasons to buy an Xbox One, but haven't found them. My favorite games are Persona 5, Uncharted, inFamous, and Bloodborne to name a few. I also love anime with Attack on Titan and Death Note being my favorite. I also like outdoor stuff like camping, hiking, shooting stuff, etc. when I get the chance to.

Jaz007

FullbringIchigo

@Jaz007 Attack on Titan is a great anime, it actually one of those few series that is better than the manga (and it looks better too, the manga art isn't really that good)

and i still need to get Persona 5, as a JRPG fan i'm kinda ashamed i haven't got round to it yet

@FullbringIchigo I can't wait for season 3. But I'm gonna have to watch it once it's done airing. I can't wait for an anime week by week after watching so many without waiting. And you should be ashamed! It's the greatest game of all time.

KALofKRYPTON

Fine...

KALofKRYPTON. Been around since the MoveModo days because I'm a true believer... (and some of the move stuff was really great).

I currently work in recruitment and dream of earning or just having a lot more money but am generally too lazy to do anything about it.

Love gaming - obviously and I'm a semi-retired comic nerd and Star Trek lover.

In to gaming from a young age. We used to rent a Spectrum 48k then an Atari from out local video shop. First computer of my own (shared with my brother) was a 128k Speccy. From there we were fortunate enough to have or to have access to the majority of major platforms - the highlight probably being an Amiga 500 (plus additional 1mb RAM expansion!).

JJ-firl

Hi all,

I’m 29 years old and live in Belgium with my girlfriend and daughter. I work as training & support in Telematics for a company that you can compare to the RAC in UK (roadside assistance, vehicle insurance, fleet management,...).

Next to this professional interest for technology and mobility I also love psychology, philosophy and art in all its forms.

Last summer I bought a PS4. I never imagined the impact it would have on me and my life. I was really into gaming as a kid and played casually as a teen and young adult but I never enjoyed it as much as I do now. The only thing I miss from those days are the local multiplayer meetups.

I discovered this website about two months later when I was browsing the web for reviews and I kept returning. The writing really stands out and the community is down to earth, mature and respectful. I still have a ton of games to discover and I know PlayStation and PushSquare will be my loyal companions for the ride!

My other passion is vinyl records. I don’t dj a lot anymore but I just love the medium. Putting on a record on a friday afternoon with a beer never gets old.

Fight_Teza_Fight

Hi all!

Teza here. I like football. I like Pro Wrestling. I like running & I like of course video games. Those 4 genuinely take up 90+ % of my free time- I'm a simple man.
My favourite game is Crisis Core and my favourite franchises are Uncharted, Kingdom Hearts and Disgaea.
I'm a bit of an early bird, so if you find me commenting/replying at early hours it's because I try to get out of the house by 4-5am for my morning cardio. It's been like this for the last 6 years or so and I can't function without it.
From the early 90s to the mid-2000s I was a hardcore Pokemon (& by association, Nintendo) fanboy. I was fortunate enough to be gifted both a PS1 and a PS2, but I was very much team Nintendo. In fact I didn't play a Crash Bandicoot game until the N. Sane trilogy released last year.
During the Wii era I changed over to PlayStation and that's been my go-to platform ever since.

I've been at Push Square for over 2 years now and have racked up almost 1600 comments!
That's mental and I probably need to get out more. I've been part of other forums before (football, wrestling, anime,...), but I keep coming back to Push Square as I really like the articles and the community.

BAMozzy

Hi my name is BAmozzy (but BAM or Mozzy is accepted)

I have been gaming for over 40yrs and started with 'Pong' in the 70's - the original couch co-op game! I gamed on various early consoles like the Atari 2600 and home computer's like the BBC Model B, Vic 20, ZX80, ZX81, Sinclair Spectrum, Amstrad CPC 464, Amiga, Dragon 32 (very little software on that) before PC's took over. I had numerous handheld and desktop gaming devices - like Astro Wars, Pac Man a fair few of the Nintendo Game and Watch series etc before the Gameboy came along and that replaced all of those. I had the original, a colour, an Advance and a DSi and spent too much money in Arcades too.

I didn't really play much on consoles in the 80's early 90's as a teenager because the Sega and Nintendo consoles were seen as 'childs' toys and not for teenagers or Adults. I had friends with young brothers/sisters so I did get to play these occasionally. It wasn't until the N64/PS1 era that I bought a console again. Since then I have owned every PS, every Xbox, the N64 and Wii. When I moved to a smaller house around 5/6yrs ago, I had amassed several Microwave boxes full of games going back to the the early 80's - thousands of games - all of which had to be binned.... I still have my Crystal Xbox, my original 60GB PS3 Phat, My PS3 320GB Slim. My XB360 Slim w Kinect, my OG Xbox One w Kinect, my Gears 4 Xbox One Slim and ALL my games for these two - I don't trade in games and only sold consoles to replace with newer versions of that console - with one exception - I did sell my Virtual Boy as that made me ill playing it.

I consider myself to be a gamer with absolutely no allegiance to any particular name on the front of the plastic box under my TV that allows me to play 'games'. Whichever box offers the best performance in ANY game that I want to play will get used. If that means (as it does right now) that the PS4 Pro is the best place to play PS exclusives only and the Xbox X, the best place for multi-platform and the exclusives that has, so be it - it doesn't make me an Xbox fanboy - it just means that I am more interested in playing the games at their 'best' they can be on consoles. I couldn't care less what name is on the lump of plastic and electronics, the one that offers the best will be the one that gets the most games bought for it and the other is mostly for exclusives and any free games I get.

Anyway, that's my gaming history. Now I am a 'disabled' gamer with degenerative mobility so can't get around anymore - not quite in a wheelchair - although my GP said I would be by the time I'm 40. I also 'try' to play guitar as well...

I joined PushSquare after OPM, OXM and C&VG disappeared. I have now been here for nearly 4yrs...

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
