I know there is a Gaming Tat thread but there isn't a thread for showing off your whole or some of your gaming collection. Games, consoles, perhaps how they relate to the Tat in situ....
Please use this thread to show off your walls of fame! (Or shame)
I was going to post some photos in the Non-Gaming Resolutions thread as it relates to my general decluttering but seeing as there doesn't appear to be a collection thread. I thought I'd create a thread for others to use as well and post them here.
Basically I am about to gouge my collection somewhat and remove some of the more valuable games and put them up for sale. So I wanted to take pics of my collection as-is before I do that.
Here are most of my games that are boxed and are video/dvd sized cases. I also have lots of PC, Switch, PS1, DS, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, 3DS, Game Boy, GBC and GBA games that aren't pictured because they are stored elsewhere (currently). I also have a fair amount of unboxed SNES, N64, Mega Drive, Master System and Atari 2600 games that are also stored elsewhere (for now).
So this is more of a record of the games I currently have on show. Not sure how much I am going to end up slimming it down quite yet!
First pic has some Tat pictured on the shelves but I removed it for some better pics of the games themselves. One pic has an odd one out shelf that is comprised mostly of games I've bought recently either new or second hand as well as a few other random things that are supposed to be for sale but always end up back on the shelf (probably my hoarding subconscious trying to sabotage my efforts...)
I've got three of these larger shelves across one wall which I'm planning to consolidate (and modify somewhat) into two shelves to make room for a CRT TV that I bought recently.
I may or may not post pics of the rest of my gaming collection at a later date, after this project is done...
@ralphdibny was expecting more Megadrive tbh… think I only saw Sonic 2 😔… man I wish I still had my Megadrive collection above all others.
Up until PS3 I’ve always gotten rid of my consoles and games, which I really regret. Atm I have a couple of PS3’s (an original 60gb phat and a fugly mk3), a release day PS4 which touch wood is still kicking it, a release day PS5, a switch and an Evercade VS.
As far as the future goes, I’ll probably try and pick up a PS1 and PS2 for display purposes (so it doesn’t matter if they don’t work), I’m seriously considering a PSVR2 and if Microsoft can actually get back to somewhere near that first 3 or 4 years of the 360… I may well buy a Series X… if.
@colonelkilgore haha that's actually sonic 2 for the master system which is the same as the game gear version 🫣
I don't even think I have that many mega drive games tbh. The ones I used to play growing up belonged to my brother. I've rebought a few absolute classics (like micro machines tournament 94) but I probably only have a handful of games that I own myself
I've never got rid of many games and there's only a few that I regret, which were the telltale games for Wii (both Sam and max games and the three CSI games)
I also collect the consoles, including variations but I'm seriously considering letting a few go just because of the lack of utility in them. One console actually boils my blood when I look at it so I may eventually throw it out the window - that's the PS2 super slim btw, the ribbon cable of which, tore up the middle discs of my X files dvd box set a a couple years ago (a ballache to replace and I'm actually considered just giving that boxset to CEX tbh)
Would love to see some photos of your collection at some point!
@ralphdibny I’m rubbish with posting pics, memes and gifs on here… I used to be a regular on a sports forum a few years back and they made it so easy, not on here though (though it’s undoubtedly my fault what with being such a fogie 😅). Maybe I’ll draw you a picture of my collection… and post it via snail mail 🤣
@colonelkilgore@ralphdibny Great idea for a topic! I recently catalogued my collection and moved it into a dedicated room but it's still not 100% how I want it - according to my PriceCharting inventory I've currently got over 1100 games, consoles and other related gubbins not including screens and TVs. When (if) it's finished I'll make a video tour and post it on here.
@LN78 I’ll look forward to it. I quite enjoy those Collector’s Corner eps on MinnMax actually… some interesting stuff that I’d never even heard of turn up on that show. Will be cool to see one of the square-pushers collections in comparison.
@ralphdibny I haven't been able to find much solid info about how reliable the pricing tracking actually is (I think it's meant to be based on the lowest prices of completed sales logged on eBay) but if you're not too concerned about valuations, as an app for keeping an eye on what's in and out of your collection it's very useful.
@LN78 hmmm yeah, I've had a look and while you can swap to GPB, I do wonder if the price is still based off the US market rather than UK. I'm sure I could get a lot more for some of my stuff if I wanted to risk shipping it across the pond.
Could be a good website to get a rough value for home insurance purposes too actually.
@nomither6 haha is it?! I didn't even think it was that much stuff, especially compared to some others I've seen online.
Upload your pics to imgbb, change the link format to BBCode linked, press copy and then paste the pics into a message here. Only the IMG tags are important though, you can delete the URL tags from what it ends up pasting
@ralphdibny I thought that as well, but eBay prices aren't (insofar as I know) localised. In fairness, I have noticed the prices of some games I've recently looked at in auctions shifting, so that could be an indicator that the site/app is actually performing as advertised.
My collection is entirely unimpressive, but I do not really envy massive collections! Maybe if I was in my “forever home” with a nice basement or something!
My collection as I see it consists of a handful of games I really cherish, the rest I just have because I currently like them more than I need the space or the money I could get for selling them, I suppose. My bikes on the other hand…
I was gutted when I found out my mum had given away my Mega Drive and games at one point.
I still have all my PS consoles in the loft and most of the games. If/when we get an extension done, I really want to have a load of shelving that it could go on.
My PS1 has a very classy Ferrari F1 sticker set on it
Mine are split across so many boxes and unfortunately my Cube and old PC games are packed away in a box so I’ve only got pictures of The Wii Cupboard of Dreadfully Packed Shame (along with my records). I really need to alphabetise the Wii games cause I did it for my other consoles but there’s not enough room to make it easy to view. I’ll probably hunt around for my other stuff tomorrow.
Some really impressive collections guys!
I really need a raise! Got all my old hardware & games in storage boxes- pre PS4 that is.
I don’t really have much gaming stuff outside of it apart from some posters & collectors stuff.
Love the Yakuza 6 shot glasses which were quality, even though one broke- no idea how.

What reason would Grammar Professors have to get out of bed?- Robert & Rosalind Lutece
I used to have a friend around 12-16 years ago (the same friend who went insane and I no longer felt safe around so I no longer see them, I've probably mentioned them in another story either on here or over psn)
Anyways, back when we were at school, we'd smoke a lot of hash at his house and one day we were playing his PS2 and his sister's games were mixed in with his. We decided to try this Mary Kate and Ashley game and it was so bad. I seem to remember you just drive a car around a short track that was entirely visible from a top down perspective. It was awful but we had a good laugh about it, probably in part due to the hash high.
For some reason, I wanted to keep the game as a memory of this moment and my friend made me promise to keep it forever. He promised to keep some other item with loads of hot rock holes in it, I forget what that was now. Either way, I've been meaning to get rid of that game for ages because a 15 year old promise to a guy I never see any more is worth less to me than 12mm on my game/dvd shelf right now. (That probably sounds quite cold but I am literally cutting up shelves right now trying to add extra shelves to what will be my remaining two units. 😅 Need to make as much space as possible!!)
I LOVE this thread! And I love my collection! Currently I do not have a place to display it but soon we will be moving to our new home, and I will have a better storage for it! I NEVER buy games that I do not like Each game is special to me!
I did not include my GB, GBA, 3DS and other retro collections here! I will in the future!
Here is my Nintendo Switch (CURRENT) collection! Only the games, no special editions here.
My pathetic little Xbox One collection. It is this way because the Xbox One is the most anti-physical console ever created!
