Topic: Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0

Well, with the Disney Infinity 2.0 pack releasing for Vita in 3 weeks in the UK I'm actually quite tempted to get it.

As a means to extend the use of my daughter's figures that she has for her Wii U version when she's staying over elsewhere etc it's a great idea.
I also quite fancy having it anyway.

The leak of the Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars pictures shows the base to look identical to the 2.0 version.
My guess and hope is that this is the case, and beyond the 3.0 starter pack, 2.0 will be able to update to 3.0 and the figures and playsets will be compatible.

It would be nice to get more info though.

Interesting note on compatibility from Gamestop's pre-order pages for 3.0 for the home consoles.

The Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4 infinity bases are all identical and can be used on any of those system. The 360 and Xbone have system specific bases.

So if you already have a base from Infinity or Infinity 2.0, you can get just the game and first playset for 3.0 for £35/£40. Not bad.

What about the Vita infinity base? Does that work on Wii U and PS3?

I doubt it, but it could be worth trying.
I'll pick up the Vita version when it releases here on the 22nd and try it on the little one's WiiU.
