I am currently ranked #72 (edit: made it to #67 later) in Guilty Gear Strive on PSN (global monthly ranking). My highest ranking was #66 or 65 or something like that earlier this month.
Probably that
Hmmm, a magazine here (PSM2) used to do competitions where you could send in your scores on video tape, I didn’t actually record my runs but with a lot of practise I absolutely smashed the top score for the first stage in SSX Tricky - I had a monster score before the very first big jump by doing allot of big combos off the fence around the edge. I always thought that was pretty cool lol.
I’m also pretty proud (dunno why, it just took a hell of a lot of boring grinding) of unlocking all Clouds limit breaks (bar omnislash) before leaving Midgar. Killing Midgar Zolom with Meteorain instead of getting over the swamp on a chocobo made it all worth it though!!
Getting all dog tags and completing European Extreme on MGS2 was a satisfying achievement.
Being able to clear Time Crises 2 on one credit at the arcades.
Finally completing Baldurs Gate 1 last year after never making it past the first couple of encounters when I used to try playing it as a kid.
My Platinum on Drive Club Bikes and some of my epic lap times which I bet still stand 😜
Got a couple but all Xbox related. I was ranked in the global top 10 for every motorcycle event in Project Gotham Racing 4, also top 3 global in multiple levels of The Club. My best effort is breaking a campaign score of 70 million in Ninja Gaiden 2. I was the second person in the world to do it. I've been knocked down a few places over the years but I'm still the 5th highest scoring player ever.
Getting the platinum for Call of Duty: World at War.
It was my first platinum but beating the game on the top difficulty was a serious challenge, particularly as enemies don’t stop spawning in some areas so you have to push forward and it’s essentially one hit kills you.
Probably conquering the world in Europa Universalis IV as Mali. That game’s insanely difficult to conquer the world at the best of times, never mind as an African country!
Zombies Ate My Neighbors on SNES: winning the game and playing the bonus level. Difficult for me because of no save feature. Weapons and ammo need obtained and used wisely to be able to deal with the end game. The games has about 45 levels.
Resident Evil 5: Finished game in under 5 hours to get the infinite ammo rpg. To do the under 5 hour run i need an infinite ammo M3 shotgun which takes replays to gather enough points to purchase the infinite ammo upgrade.
Fallout 3 : Figuring out how to keep Panada, Point Lookout, alive. To keep Panada alive or not becoming missing i did this: I did not do the main quests Thought Control and A Meetings of The Minds. I also left Sticky, outfitted with power armor, assault rifle, and 500 rounds, to guard Panada after my first trip to Point Lookout. I also outfitted Panada. She received Raider armor and an assault rifle. In my return trips to Point Lookout i find Sicky and Panada alive and usally one dead raider nearby. Sticky does the shooting as his ammo count is missing a few rounds and yes he still wants me to take him to Big Town.
Probably spending an entire Easter back holiday weekend doing a real-time Le Mans 24 Hours on Dreamcast, many, many years ago. Split over 3 sessions of about 6hrs, 7hrs and a final 11hrs on the Monday, I somehow managed to keep it on the track, and won by over an hour. I vowed never to do it again, and to this day have no idea how I managed to survive it...
Beating Sekiro felt like such an achievement for me, seeing as you can't level up to make yourself OP or summon for help, it felt to me like an almost pure skill based experience.
Anytime I finish top of the leaderboard in a game of Battlefield or my friends list in a racing game. Doesn't happen very often as I suck at those games. 😂
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
1. Getting AA or AAA score on DDR games.
2. Successfully playing DDR songs with blindfold + facing backward from monitor.
3. Passing level 18 DDR songs on Challenge difficulty with at least grade C.
Getting the "Cat" sprite in How to be a Complete *****.
Got 4 Gold discs in one year in Rockstar Ate my Hamster.
Getting the "Mile High Club" achievement in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, then doing the same thing for a load of my friends so they could get 1000/1000. Haha.
Doing the same for all my friends with World at War on Veteran for the "For the Motherland" achievement.
Getting the Platinum for Metal Gear Solid V. Some of those "catch the animals" took the absolute piss.
For some reason, being in the top 10 on the GTA V Hunting leader boards on the PS3 for years.
@lolwhatno
I mean I played DDR song with blindfold and facing backward from monitor while playing (didn't see the arrows at all from the monitor) and still able to clear the song.
This is my DDR play on DDR X2 Arcade with song AM-3P on Expert difficulty by using blindfold and facing backward from monitor.
@Emperor_Rusty lol good one. I preordered mine to an office address which then closed down. Thought no problem, I'll just change the delivery address. Couldn't do that without cancelling my order and re-ordering, which of course wasn't possible because they weren't taking anymore pre-orders. Had to wait 6 hours outside a closed down shop in November
I think getting the platinum trophies on the Armored Core games is probably up there. Some of the requirements were pretty bonkers. Was a fun experience getting there though.
