@lolwhatno There's definitely no dislike for any of those games, enjoyed them all š.
It's weird that I lost interest with gaming as I was really into it during my uni-days. I guess what stopped it for me was 1. Women, 2. Work, and 3. Travel. I can blame a lot on the kids but actually it was having kids that got me back into it as I wanted something to do while I was spending more time at home.
Having followed the news about The Last Guardian (as I loved Ico and SotC) and seeing that it was going to finally release I made the plunge and bought a PS4. Once I started playing all the Sony first party stuff and it made me realise how much things had moved on since I last played any game seriously and that was it, I was hooked again.
@CJD87 I will perhaps wait a while and play it when I'm feeling particularly reckless then. I can only hope it's possible for me to get in the vicinity of 'Git Gud' š
@lolwhatno haha thanks for calling me a beast, not often that happens!
I just found a build I liked and stuck with it I guess, focused on stuff that heals me and used parasites a lot if the negative effect was something I could choose to avoid (like using or opening malignant stuff).
The bosses themselves I found to be fairly okay, I think I'm okay with pattern attacks and stuff. I did mostly on the run to the bosses as come of the rooms can get mega chaotic and hard to track!
My biggest gaming achievement was probably getting the Orb of Mastery epic weapon for my Mage in Everquest back in its heyday. It took most of a year. Funny thing is shortly after I got the weapon, new expansions came out that had weapons that were better and could be gotten within a week.
For me it would have to be a toss up between Platinuming the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and going on a 99 game winstreak with my friends on Team Tactical in Modern Warfare 2.
I rarely play online games, so most of my āfeatsā are single player.
I got really good at DBZ: Bukokai Tenkaichi 3 & got really high up in the rankings. I got to the second tier, even though I had crappy internet & back then there was so much lag which you had to anticipateš.
The one tough that comes to mind was getting the platinum in the original Nioh. The last mission I had left āThe two Kingsā is definitely the hardest mission I ever had to do. Played it over & over again, till I beat it.

Getting the platinum for Call of Duty: World at War.
It was my first platinum but beating the game on the top difficulty was a serious challenge, particularly as enemies donāt stop spawning in some areas so you have to push forward and itās essentially one hit kills you.
Kudos on this, I still have PTSD from the constant enemy grenade spam on the hardest difficluty.
@Legacy2K Ha, thanks! A couple of levels in particular still give me the shivers to this day; the one where you had to use smoke grenades to avoid the machine gun posts, and storming the Reichstag where you have to push forward otherwise enemies will respawn forever.
I seem to remember the final trophy I got was the one where you had to kill the sniper target in the first Russian mission with a pistol headshot, rather than the rifle, which also took quite a while to get right...
I'm not that good at games unfortunately, so it's probably getting a Platinum on Need for Speed (2015, my only platinum), or finishing the main game for Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction on GBA (easily one of the hardest Yu-Gi-Oh! games though). Or possibly unlocking the AX tracks in F-Zero GX (beat cups 1-4 on Master to unlock).
