Below is a list of quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, categorised by the kind of quests that they are.
Story Quests
These are all of the Story Quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Progressing through these quests pushes the main plot forward, although there are times when you'll be given more than one Story Quest at once. When that happens, you'll need to complete all of the available Story Quests to advance.
It's also worth noting that progressing through certain Story Quests can lock you out of specific Companion Quests and Side Quests. As such, you should always make sure that you haven't missed any exclamation marks at the Lighthouse before progressing the plot.

Additional Story Quests

There are three additional Story Quests scattered throughout the Crossroads. Your journal marks these down specifically as 'Story' Quests, but you don't necessarily have to complete them in order to progress the plot.
However, it is recommended that you track them down and complete them, as they give additional context to the overall story. You can start them by walking through the various white barriers that you'll find in the Crossroads.
These are the additional Story Quests:
- The Wolf's Call (Started by entering one of Solas' memories in the Crossroads
- Disrupt and Conquer (Started by entering one of Solas' memories in the Heights of Athim region of the Crossroads)
- The Labs Below (Started by entering one of Solas' memories in the Converged City region of the Crossroads, but you'll need to open the gate with a Champion's essence a little later in the game)
Companion Quests
Companion Quests are personal quests given to you by your party members. You can pick them up from the Lighthouse, whenever a companion has an exclamation mark over their heads. You can also check for exclamation marks on the map.
Completing Companion Quests has a significant impact on how later events in the game play out. Completing at least one or two of them (per character) is also necessary if you want to romance someone. You can check our Dragon Age: The Veilguard: All Romance Options guide for more info on that.
These are all of the Companion Quests, categorised by character:
Harding

- An Unfamiliar Sense
Unlocked as the story progresses.
- The Waiting Stone
Speak to Harding in the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'A Change on the Wind'.
- The Bond Rekindled
Speak to Harding at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'The Cobbled Swan Case' or the Story Quest 'The Cauldron', and progressing through the game a little more.
- The Heart of the Titan
Speak with Harding at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'.
- The Eternal Hymn
Speak with Harding at the Lighthouse after completing her previous quest, 'The Heart of the Titan'. You may need to kill some time through other quest before this one becomes available.
Neve

- A Study of Dock Town
Speak with Neve at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Shadows of Minrathous'. This quest is MISSABLE if it isn't completed before starting the Story Quest 'A Warden's Best Friend'.
- Chasing Leads
Speak with Neve at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'.
- A Clear Mind
Speak with Neve at the Lighthouse after completing her previous quest, 'Chasing Leads'. You may need to go do things outside of the Lighthouse and come back again to get this quest to appear.
- Keep a Light On
Speak with Neve in the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available.
- The Returned Cultist Case
Speak with Neve in the Lighthouse after completing Neve's previous quest, ''Keep a Light On. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available.
Bellara

- Echoes of the Past
Speak to Bellara in the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quests 'Sea of Blood' and 'The Smuggled Relic Case'.
- The Demon's Bargain
Speak to Bellara in the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'The Siege of Weisshaupt', and working through some of the Story Quest 'After the Storm'.
- Hummingbird's Lament
Speak to Bellara in the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available.
- Through the Shadows
Speak to Bellara in the Lighthouse after completing her previous quest 'Hummingbird's Lament'. You may also need to kill time via other quests before this one becomes available.
- The Forest of Spirits
Speak to Bellara in the Lighthouse after completing her previous quest 'Through the Shadows'. You may also need to kill time via other quests before this one becomes available.
Lucanis

- Coffee with the Crows
Speak with Lucanis after completing the Story Quests 'Sea of Blood' and 'The Smuggled Relic Case'. This quest is MISSABLE if it isn't completed before starting the Story Quest 'A Warden's Best Friend'.
- Bidding Farewell
Speak with Lucanis at the Lighthouse after completing the previous quest, 'Coffee with the Crows'. You may need to advance the main story before this quest becomes available.
- Blood Bath
Speak with Lucanis at the Lighthouse after completing his previous quests, and after completing the Story Quest 'The Siege of Weisshaupt'. You may also need to make some progress in the next Story Quest, 'After the Storm'.
- Inner Demons
Speak with Lucanis at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'. You may also have to kill some time completing other quests before Lucanis is ready to talk.
- A Murder of Crows
Speak with Lucanis in the Lighthouse after completing his previous quest, 'Inner Demons'. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available.
- A Moment's Peace
Speak with Lucanis in the Lighthouse after completing his previous quest, 'A Murder of Crows'. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available
Davrin

- How to Train a Griffon
Speak to Davrin at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'On Deadly Wings' or the Story Quest 'On Blighted Wings'.
- Cries From the Past
Speak to Davrin at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'. You'll probably need to clear off a few other quests to kill time, before this one becomes available.
- A Friend in Need
Speak to Davrin at the Lighthouse after completing his previous quest, 'Cries From the Past'. You may need to kill some time with other quests before Davrin is ready to talk.
- The Palate of a Griffon
Speak to Davrin in the Lighthouse after completing his previous quest, 'A Friend in Need'. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available.
- The Profane and the Lost
Speak to Davrin in the Lighthouse after completing his previous quest, 'The Palate of a Griffon'. You may need to kill time through other quests before this one becomes available

Taash

- Fire on the Sands
Speak to Taash at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer'.

- Horns and Halla at the Hilt
Speak to Taash at the Lighthouse after completing the previous quest, 'Words of Fire'. You may need to kill some time via other quests for this one to appear.
Emmrich

- Walking the Graves
Speak to Emmrich at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Shades of the Blight' or the Story Quest 'Something Wrong'.
- House of the Dead
Speak to Emmrich at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'The Cobbled Swan Case' or the Story Quest 'The Cauldron'. You may also need to progress through the game a bit more.
- Arrangements
Speak with Emmrich at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Fire and Ice'.
- The Sacrifice of Souls
Speak with Emmrich at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'Blood of Arlathan'. You may also have to pass some additional time before this quest becomes available.
- Will and Testament
Accepted automatically after completing Emmrich's previous quest, 'The Sacrifice of Souls' — but only if you persuaded him to pursue his lifelong dream.
Region Quests
Region Quests are basically the game's name for side quests. They can be found in explorable areas, or they can be given to you by factions.
Completing Region Quests is the easiest way to increase the strength of the different factions, making them have a greater appreciation for Rook and the Veilguard.

Crossroads / Lighthouse

The Region Quests found in the Crossroads are broader objectives that can be completed as the game progresses.

- The Plight of the Veil Jumpers
Found at the Veil Jumpers camp in Arlathan Forest, after progressing through the game and gaining access to more of the region via the Companion Quest 'How to Train a Griffon'.
Treviso

- A Slow Poison
Unlocked by reading a letter at the Lighthouse, after completing the Story Quest 'Sea of Blood'.
- Statuary, Fine Art, and Antaam
Found in the Antivan Crows' hideout in Treviso, after completing the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer' or the Story Quest 'Where the Dead Must Go'.
- Spies Among Us
Found in the Antivan Crows' hideout in Treviso, after completing the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer' or the Story Quest 'Where the Dead Must Go'.
- Partners in a Dangerous Crime
Found in Treviso after completing the Story Quest 'The Cobbled Swan Case' or the Story Quest 'The Cauldron'. You also need to have completed the previous Treviso quest, 'Spies Among Us'.
- Statuary, Fine Art, and Antaam (2)
Found in Treviso after completing the Story Quest 'The Cobbled Swan Case' or the Story Quest 'The Cauldron'. You need to have completed the previous Treviso quest, also titled 'Statuary, Fine Art, and Antaam', as well.
- A Time to Kill
Unlocked by reading a letter at the Lighthouse, after completing the Story Quest 'For the Love of Treviso'.
Dock Town

- In Memoriam
Found in Dock Town after completing the Story Quest 'Shadows of Minrathous'.
- Cornered in the Catacombs
Found in Dock Town after completing the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer' or the Story Quest 'Where the Dead Must Go'.
- A Shroud Over the Light
Unlocked by visiting Dock Town after completing the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer' or the Story Quest 'Where the Dead Must Go' — but only if you chose to aid Treviso in the main story.
- Rituals for the Risen
Found in Dock Town after completing the the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer' or the Story Quest 'Where the Dead Must Go'. If you chose to go to Treviso's aid in the main story, you need to complete the previous quest 'A Shroud Over the Light' before this quest becomes available.
- The Snake Nest Deal
Found in Dock Town after completing the the Story Quest 'The Dragon Slayer' or the Story Quest 'Where the Dead Must Go'. If you chose to go to Treviso in the main story, you need to complete the previous quest 'A Shroud Over the Light' before this quest becomes available.
- The Black Emporium
Talk to the Caretaker at the Lighthouse after completing the Story Quest 'The Cobbled Swan Case' or the Story Quest 'The Cauldron'.

Accepted automatically after completing the previous quest, 'Last Rites'.

- Out of Tune
Found in Dock Town after completing the Story Quest 'The Cobbled Swan Case' and the previous Dock Town quest, 'Last Rites'.
- Mercenary Intent
Found in Dock Town after completing the Companion Quest 'A Clear Mind'.
Rivain Coast / The Hall of Valor

Read the letter in Taash's room at the Lighthouse. You may need to advance the story for this to show up.
