The excellent Astro Bot has today received a game update, though exactly what it does is a mystery. The patch comes in at about 384MB, and it's available to download and install now.
Unfortunately, we've been unable to source any patch notes for this update to the 3D platformer. We'll of course update this story if and when we learn more, but for now it's unknown precisely what this update brings to the table.
Presumably, this patch's main job will be to squash any leftover bugs or performance quirks. However, having played through the entire game, we never once encountered a single bug or performance hiccup — it's already super polished as far as we understand.
One issue we have seen reported pertains to save data; apparently, if the game crashes, you can lose autosave data, meaning any progress you've made since the last save will be gone. Again, we never encountered anything like that in our time playing, but it appears not everyone has been so lucky. It's possible this patch addresses this issue, as it's pretty much the only thing we've seen people having trouble with.
