Dead Island 2 fans decomposing for lack of content, rejoice! In Neighborhood Watch, a cooperative Horde Mode arriving on 22nd October via free update, players are cast in the role of the Bobcats, a group of college kids defending their frat house from the oncoming zombie onslaught.
Neighbourhood Watch sounds like it will mix things up, tasking players to survive as long as possible. Given five days to prepare, the first four will be spent completing objectives, stockpiling resources, and constructing defences. On the fifth day, all hell breaks loose, and if you fail, new abilities can be unlocked between attempts. Each Bobcat has a unique class, and teamwork will be essential in overcoming the odds. Oh, and there is no Fury Mode, so you'll need to look for other advantages wherever you can find them.
It honestly looks pretty fun, and we're considering our own return to HELL-A now that the game's two expansions are out. What do you think of Dead Island 2's Neighborhood Watch? Let us know in the comments section below.

Bah! Halloween. Awful imported event. It's like everyone's forgotten Guy Fawkes Night. Penny for the Guy?
Yeah! This is exactly the kind of mode I don't want to play. Looking forward the New Game + mode tho.
It’s something I guess so shouldn’t moan but having completed it recently I felt like it’s lacking a fair bit compared to the first one. Never really liked the card scheme and would’ve preferred a decent skill tree also, like the first. But will give this a go at some point.
Do we know if this is part of the Season Pass, @Khayl? Or is it free, or paid for separately...?
@Fiendish-Beaver It's a free update.
Thank you, @Splat. I did read the article, but somehow managed to overlook that. Stupid is as stupid does... 🤪
I have this game but I got about 3 hrs and beat the first boss and I don't know I just can't seem to gel with it. Maybe I will take another crack at it.
This is a game I never thought I'd play for several reasons, but I recently picked it up on a whim with low expectations and I've been having a great time. Wrapped up the main story, I'm currently tackling the first DLC.
@PegasusActual93 phew, lucky what I said is true then 😊
..so say we all.
