Bottom line, to show nothing just says to the world you have nothing. I can't see them not doing something this year, but there was no way they were going to compete with Xbox/Bethesda and Nintendo with the Switch Pro at E3, they would have walked away the losers and will want to keep their distance from that event.
What's missing out of this puzzle is how much Sony pays MS for them to host PSNow (we all know that it's on Azure right?).
I mean lets not think Sony wouldn't be all over something if it meant bringing more money to the table. It just might not be feasible to offer something like GamePass, when you don't own the infrastructure like Microsoft does.
It's really the only thing that makes sense to me.
@LiamCroft Ok.. an advert which costs money, and tells people what exactly we didn't already know? Just saying it's fun, but I would rather have had a free game or something that's actually on PSPlus.
Returnal left itself with a niche crowd given its (at least perceived) difficulty, coupled with price. Personally I have no desire to play it because of that. One can be all 'get gud' etc all they like, but a simple 'Easy' check box for some wouldn't have changed how other people wanted to play the game if they wanted it harder, and would have drummed up more sales for sure.
Have found it strange that Sony hasn't offered any alternatives of yet. As I understand it, accessories make money and really, your just changing the color of the outside plastic.
Will be nice as I've never been a fan of white/light grey controllers.. on any console.

Re: Poll: Was Sony's State of Play the Best Gaming Showcase of June?
I think the Hideo Kojima presence at the M$ conference tips the scales for me.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
I do have to say, it's a lot of money for a developer with 1 game.. that's going to stay multiplat.
Re: Horizon Forbidden West Release Date Set for February 2022 on PS5, PS4
Not trolling but, do they have any exclusive games for the rest of the year?
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream?
Probably why they distanced themselves from E3. They didn't have much to show, and what they did have, is now owned by Microsoft.

Re: Rumour: Final Fantasy Origin Reveal Set for E3, Working with Team Ninja
Much love for Final Fantasy and all, but it does need to take a chill pill for a couple years imo.

Re: PS Plus Shares What It Does Best in New Live-Action Advert
It's fun, but not sure what the end game is here.
