I really enjoyed Destiny and having a new co-op looter shooter to look forward to I was hyped for The Division.
Instead of enjoying it I learnt that a looter shooter needs interesting weapons & armour to earn but everything looked the same. The location of the game also got incredibly dull and the enemies unvaried and tedious.
The gameplay cover system was alright and the interface was really cool but that's about it.
The reviews for no. 2 would have to be outstanding for me to give the series another go.

Just can't really get hyped for this one. Bring on TLoU2.

Didn't even know there was a beta to sign up for. Oh well.

Anthem and Sekiro are the only two out of the list that I'm planning to buy.
Days Gone just... looks like a lesser TLoU2.

There are a bunch of games I'm interested in and hope are good but surprisingly little I'm super hyped for. Seems most of those games have TBC release dates.

Sylvando is hilarious, his story arc in Act 2 was great. All the characters are pretty solid actually, I assumed I'd find Veronica annoying but nope.
Slow pacing? I started DQ after Red Dead and my god it felt wonderfully fast in comparison being able to get places quickly and fast travel easily.
The music I initially was a bit put off by but as the game went on it grew on me and I couldn't stop humming it lol.
Only criticism I have is you can't turn on 'stronger monsters' difficulty mid-game and it's been pretty easy without but I'm not starting the game again.

RDR2 had some fun moments, it's just that it's boring moments far, far outweighed them. A normal fast travel system would have made the game waste less of my time.
Eventually the story got really good, which made up for how boring the game had been (most of the time) up till then but it took a really long time to get there.

As much as I like Ni no Kuni I think Dragon Quest tops it, did you play DQXI?

In RDR2 the controls are clunky and the gameplay more repetitive. In the witcher you have weapons, potions, spells, gear to hunt down that's useful, there's variety in enemies. In RDR2 it's just shooting and you have no need to change from the lancaster revolver for most of the game.

The Witcher 3 is better than RDR2...
Being newer RDR2 was of course better visually but gameplay and story? Nah.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was getting a release over here but I'm amazed they're censoring the game in Japan due to Western sensibilities, fans over there must be pissed. I mean that's the whole point of this game after all.

People remember how Microsoft tried to bundle the kinect with every console then removed it to lower the price and match the PS4 right?
My guess is the controller has a camera, like the light bar. Everything else needed for VR will be sold separately.

2020 seems like the right time for a new console, hopefully fully backwards compatible with PS4 games this time.

God of War was a better game than RDR2 imo.
Currently playing through Dragon Quest XI and it'll probably end up being my personal GOTY.

By the time DLC comes out I've moved on to new games.
Once I've finished and enjoyed a game, I don't really want to go back and there shouldn't be any need to add more content to a complete story/game.
I also don't tend to replay games, with all the new titles coming out and how big they are there's no time.

I wonder if it can break normally or only when you self destruct by doing a CE at low health.
They went to so much effort with the character's moveset, so many cool-looking moves with the different weapons, even the fishing chair lol. The pod attacks all seem very easy to sidestep.
Can't wait, made the season pass worth it for sure.

I can imagine this impacting their sales greatly. Though probably anyone that cares got it on Steam for significantly less ages ago anyway.

The date was pretty unfortunate. I bought it but put it to one side in favour of playing Destiny 2, Tomb Raider, Spiderman, Soul Calibur and Red Dead 2 first. That way I'll be able to take my time enjoying it instead of rushing a bit to get to the next game.

The visuals and audio are amazing. The controls could be better. The pacing is really slow, I wish the fast travel worked both directions. I also wish the auto-horse-riding didn't run people over and get me a bounty on my head and other annoyances...
The story from the sounds of it gets better, though I'm finding it difficult to care that much about the gang. Even my own character feels schizophrenic, I'm choosing to be honorable and help people stuck on the side of the road then forced in a story mission to massacre most of a town...

Pretty sure it's not going to be my GOTY.

I was actually thinking to myself, has this also affected RDR2? Have you seen any full nudity? Surprisingly for a Western you can't even use a brothel, censored or not. After GTA I was surprised.
Wonder if Cyberpunk will get away with as much as the Witcher 3 at this rate.

There are a number of titles synonymous with the PS1 that aren't on there. Boggles my mind how there's no Crash. Tomb Raider, Wipeout, Medievil, Spyro, GT... They had the PS mascot characters equivalent to Mario for Nintendo.

Regardless of the reasoning for not including these titles, they're the whole point of owning a PS1 Classic.

I don't feel like Sony should be making these calls.
That game that was banned in the UK? That's up the ratings boards to decide. They (I'd hope) are in a better position to judge content than Sony.
With some games it's fair enough but I'm reminded of silly little changes that Nintendo always made when localizing games... We're not all kids you know.

Releasing a week before Red Dead was always going to hurt it, hopefully sales increase as time goes on.

I'm surprised it's getting such good reviews. Wish I could just try the game out and see if it's worth buying.
I like CoD, I've bought every installment since MW but:
Not sure I like the healing mechanic in the normal multiplayer, ending an engagement and having to in many cases reload and heal just means more down-time in which you'll get shot whilst being unable to do anything about it.
Not sure if I'd like Blackout, I got bored of Fortnite.
Don't play zombies and there's no campaign.

They really should have done an open beta so that people could try Blackout and decide if it's worth buying. Never cared about Zombies and without a campaign it doesn't seem worth full price.

Surprising, this is the first CoD I'm not getting and none of my friends seem to be either.
Red Dead on the other hand is a Day 1, wonder if it'll topple GTAV...

Damn, I could see Red Dead being that large but CoD? It doesn't even have a campaign mode where you'd think most CGI stuff would be.

What they should do is make the digital version's release date sooner, that would make up for how the price isn't cheaper than a physical copy.

I thought Origins was a really good game though I started off doing all the side content and by... half way? I just made a bee-line for the main story's end as I started to get fatigued.
Even the Witcher, I explored and did everything up to Skellige then just needed to finish the game already lol
Better to have too much content than feel short changed.

Or y'know, they could just spend less money localizing it by not doing a dub? That way we might have gotten a copy a year earlier?
But yeah, too many other games to fit DQ11 in yet, I'll probably wait until after Red Dead 2 and I've been looking forward to DQ11 for a long time, I'd just rather not miss three other games whilst they're new just to focus on one.

This sounds interesting. Might start with explorer mode and see how it goes, so long as you can toggle it back on whenever.

Ha, this is the first year I'm skipping CoD since it has no campaign, BF has nothing to worry about there as far as I'm concerned.
The new date for Battlefield helps as Soul Calibur was out the same day so now I can easily get both!

I loved the first reboot, Rise not so much but it was alright. It being xbox only for a year killed my hype and enthusiasm. Plus the game went more... open world? Lots of fluff that ruined the pacing and got a bit boring but kind of bugged me to leave.

Don't know why people are so surprised by this. Hilde, Tira and Setsuka were always unlikely additions to the base roster due to the game's time period.
I expect all three of them to be DLC, if we're lucky, otherwise they might just not be in the game at all. If it was Hilde and not Tira available day 1 I'd be really happy.
They should have announced the rest of the base roster first before mentioning DLC I suppose.

I've been wanting a premium PS4 controller with back buttons/paddles for a while now. All of them seems to have some flaw (the first Raiju included). Now there's a new Scuf that looks promising (when they eventually have it for sale to the UK...) and now this...
My standard dualshocks wear out pretty easily and I want the paddles since they give you an advantage online but for the price it needs to be perfect lol

That was my main issue we already had a samurai souls game and Nioh 2 has been announced. Plus Ghost of Tsushima whilst not a Souls-copy looks like a phenomenal Samurai experience too so didn't see why I'd 'need' Sekiro as well

I loved Bloodborne and played some Demon Souls but never dove into the Dark Souls games

It makes sense she isn't in the main game as her story doesn't take place that early in the storyline, I was already expecting her and Hilde to be DLC characters, assuming they were in the game at all.
They already confirmed there would be a season pass with 1 character exclusive to it and 3 others so of course they need to advertise what's in the season pass before it's up for sale?

Just realised something. Has it been confirmed that you need PS+/Xbox Live Gold to play Fallout76? I assume so?
My Dad has preordered the game but doesn't have a subscription and doubt he'll want to pay extra for it when he doesn't even want to play with other people lol
