Therefore Sony, publisher and owner of Insomniac Games, is entitled to charge users twice for both versions. After all, PS5 games are very affordable and the other companies don't put a lot of effort into their Series X/PS5 remasters, only Sony does.

@JJ2 I will get a Series X but I have a New 3DS, a Wii U, a PS4, an Xbox One X, it doesn't kill me to wait a little bit. I don't know if I'll buy it online or at a physical shop (I might get a better deal at a physical shop). I really don't care what consoles people prefer but if you want a PS5 and you managed to get one then good. All consoles are supposed to bring joy and fun. Peace 😄.

That is the box and my opinion remains the same, if one box says 4K and the other says 8K it looks like PS5 is more powerful than Series X and shoppers and parents than don't read forums (99% of them don't) may be confused. Respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

@JJ2 But not on the box that people will find in the shops, the Series X box doesn't have the 8K logo, the PS5 box is misleading because games won't run at 8K.

Even my local store has labelled PS5 console pre-orders as "SONY PS5, 825 GB, 4K, HDR".

@Toadie Yes, the first year of PS4 was barren so of course any other line-up is going to look better. I played some ports on PS4 because I didn't have a PS3 or Xbox 360. I didn't play Knack but Knack II is decent.

Expected of course, just not great. The selection of PS2 games on PS4 (and now on PS5) is quite bad. They could fix that, at least.

@AJ1 Sony hasn't released any photos with other consoles beside it for people to compare the real size and the actual dimensions that you mention are for the thinnest part of the console and don't include the base.

The picture I posted is accurate because it takes the USB port and disc slot as reference but if someone makes a new one with official measurements I will love to see it because Sony hasn't shown anything or provide the measurements of the whole console. Same here. I'll play on Series X, Switch and PS4 until I can get PS5 games for cheap. The price of the console is fine because they waited until Microsoft's prices were revealed and then matched them but I don't really need to buy expensive games now with so many alternatives, especially Game Pass. Multiplatform games will run better on Series X anyway.

Another thing is that by the time I get a PS5, a slim version will be available, the PS5 is huge. And those PS5 exclusives that I might be interested in will be cheaper by then. Besides, I have a PS4 so I might be able to play some PS5 games on it before I get a PS5.

Confirmed, Final Fantasy XVI has a one-year console exclusivity deal and a six-months exclusivity deal. In other words, it will launch on Windows six months later and on Xbox one year later.

@redd214 Thanks, I'll try and if I don't get a Series X at launch it's not the end of the world anyway. I have a New 3DS, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One X and a Switch so it's not like I have nothing to play on. You wouldn't have got the notification if I didn't write a different comment, sorry if that bothered you. Regarding your advice, that... user literally insults me every time, all I do is reply without insulting him and report him. I wish he ignored me but he likes doing what he does or has nothing better to do, apparently. I like people that prove me wrong and discuss but he just insults and that's not really funny and I can't ignore him because I have to report that behaviour. The fact that PS4 Pro can't play 4K discs when Sony is one of the companies behind Blu-Ray is ridiculous. It also can't play CDs.

I've always hated these gimmicks unless they are naturally integrated in the game like rumble. The rumble of DualShock 4 is rubbish so good thing that they have upgraded it. The other features won't mean a thing for 99% of the games. What have they done with the DualShock 4 touch panel or motion controls or light bar? (I don't have PS4 VR)

The "8K" bigger than "4K" labelling is interesting. Even Series X box doesn't advertise 8K at all. A bit misleading, isn't it?

@Juanalf I think that the physical console will be more popular because of the increased game prices. Physical games won't be that expensive. If the digital console sells more, I'll be surprised.

Flight Simulator appears as "Windows 10" game but it's confirmed to be coming to Series.

@theMEGAniggle @TrolleyProblems Microsoft backpedalled. Only Halo Infinite has been re-confirmed to get an Xbox One version. The others got the Xbox One tag removed from game cards and websites, including Everwild, Avowed, Fable, Flight Simulator, basically everything other than Halo Infinite is Series exclusive now. Only Halo Infinite remains as a cross-gen game.

@Wake13 Yeah and it's weird. Halo Infinite is the only Series game that has been re-confirmed to get an Xbox One version but at the same time they delay the game to improve the Series version. The other Xbox games are presented as Series games now, Xbox One eliminated. Now Sony does the opposite thing with the PS5 games that were supposed to be next-gen but now are cross-gen games. Digital Foundry is going to have a lot of work, I tell you.
