The FF VII remake, NIER sequel, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 4 and Horizon are all must-haves for me when I get a PS4, which should hopefully be soon.
I'm still holding out hope for a price cut to ~£250 closer to Christmas, although I'm guessing that's fairly unlikely to happen now considering Sony's brilliant E3 showing.
Yeah, Dark Souls wasn't that hard. I died a lot, but I never felt as if dying was unfair (aside from maybe that Smough and whatsamajig fight). I never did beat Demons Souls though. I didn't enjoy it as much so I guess I didn't have the motivation to see it through to the end.
I may as well just stop buying games altogether with the current PS Plus offerings! D: I already have VLR, but Okami HD will be a nice free download despite the fact that I've already beaten the Wii version.
@get2sammyb Yeah, combat in Tales games is always fast-paced, I always like to think of the combat as a more tactical Street Fighter. Sort of. :3 It's a nice change of pace from normal JRPG combat; that's for sure.
@get2sammyb Not a fan of JRPG's? You're missing out on so much awesomeness. Back on topic, Tales of Xillia is looking so amazing! May even end up being my favourite game in the series if the trailers shown so far are anything to go by.
Now just do the same thing in the West. If Sony can get similar sales in NA and Europe, the Vita will be the best selling console worldwide, not just in Japan. But this is good news, obviously~
I'll be playing Ni No Kuni, which has already absorbed seven hours of my life since yesterday! Aside from that, I might play a bit of Ragnarok Odyssey online with @turtle.
I think this is a good start for Sony. More could be done, but if they carry a similar price cut over from Japan to the West then hopefully the Vita will increase in sales, and that means more games which could in the long-term pose a threat to the 3DS.
@ShogunRok Yes, but there are two important points here. YOU like gameplay; others have differing opinions and would love to play a visual novel. Personally I primarily play games for the music and story.
Secondly, you have to identify the target audience the game is attempting to appeal to. The developers were obviously not intending to create something gameplay heavy, so its a bit harsh perhaps to criticize something a game was not aiming for. No game is going to perfect and encompass every category a reviewer has to analyse, so you really have to identify what the game was trying to achieve and base your score on that.
That said, I think this review did all those things.
Nice review! The apparent similarities to 999/VLR mean I've just downloaded the original PSP game, plus I like the sound of the traditional Japanese themes. If I like it, I'll be sure to pick up this one too!
Always awesome to be allowed to browse the web whilst in-game. Although I wish that Europe had Jet Set Radio as is the case in North America. Guess you can't have everything.
Wow, this game seems to be getting overwhelming praise from everywhere! When P4 Arena (eventually) releases, I'll be sure to pick this up. Actually, come to think of it, it may make a good Christmas present.
After finishing P3P today, November can't come soon enough. There were some import taxes and shipping fees from Amazon which meant it cost me $80, but I don't have the patience to wait for a 2013 European release.
Looks great, should hopefully receive my review copy tomorrow! It's a shame about the lack of Peace Walker, but the collection is still looks like a quality bundle nonetheless. Thanks for the great review!
Shame that I have all of those games except Top Darts & Hustle Kings which I won't be buying, but still good to see Sony making some software discounts.
Completely agree with this review. I personally gave it a 3.5, the graphics were as a general horrendous, gameplay was average, audio was good but the lack of it online was a hindrance. I felt the cast of characters was bland and the online mode was teetering on the edge of being completely broken. Burning Skies was just never given the time and attention it needed. What a shame too.
Great Review Corbs! I absolutely loved this game myself, but I admit I did have to restrain myself from using the Stylish controls now and again! Just last week, after well over fifty hours of playing, I finally managed to beat Noel's Arcade Mode. That shows how brutal Blazblue is in difficulty!
I found some of the minigames a bit frustrating, but considering the price of the game ~ even with the Advanced Pack ~ and how brilliantly polished it is, this has to be one of my favourites from the Vita launch. Great Review Corbs!!
Shame that Amazon UK didn't delivery my Vita today, despite having payed for First Class delivery to get it on launch Hopefully it arrives tomorrow in the post!
I don't see why Sony left Europe out, but I think really it's evident that this was Sony's way of getting loyal fans to fork over extra money for an early console. Then again, I'm sure the NA fans will be pleased to be getting their Vita's early!
Finally, a decent review of XIII-2! Would agree almost entirely, great graphics, good gameplay, but I think the soundtrack is awful. Shame, as the rest of the game is epic. Also, Chocobo Racing FTW!!!
Great review Corbie. Probably gonna put in my preorder soon. I honestly think the system is amazing, as well as the brilliant launch lineup. If it wasn't for those hugely overpriced memory cards I'd have put in my preorder months ago. From what you've wrote it just makes me even more desperate to get my hands on it come launch!

Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Soul Sacrifice Pushes Vita Above 3DS
@shinobi88 You can't just write off any game that isn't an FPS as not being a proper, 'hardcore' game, that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

If it does look like that I am dissapoint. Then again, i guess it's only a prototype.
