Re: Review: Start the Party (PlayStation 3)

Dazza

I normally hate party games like this, but I really found myself enjoying the fly-swatting and painting games on the Move demo disc.

I'm not sure I'm convinced that this is a worthy full price purchase, but once it ends up in the virtual bargain bin I think I'll pick it up for a laugh.

Nice review James!

Re: No Wireless Eye Camera on the Horizon

Dazza

I think a wireless camera is a little bit unnecessary really, but Sony could surely streamline it so it would sit more attractively on top of a HDTV. It's a bit of a "eye"-sore isn't it?

Also a detactable USB cable wouldn't go amiss, then I could easily choose my own length with no need for extensions

Re: iFixit Tears Move to Pieces

It's good to know it will be easy to replace the battery if that's ever needed. Still so much better than swapping AAs over every week or so like the Wiimote!

Re: Review: Sports Champions (PlayStation 3)

Nice Movemodo debut Corbinator!

I've only tried out the demo for the time being, but I really liked Disc Golf. It felt very responsive, perhaps more so than Wii Sports Resort.

Table Tennis is really good too, the Move's impressive one-to-one movement really shines here. I found this quite difficult to master however, because it was so realistic.

Re: Move-Enabling Patches May Cost You

Dazza

I think paying a little extra for retrofitting Move controls to a game ain't the end of the world really. It's only going to be a small minority, future games will have it built in from day one if they're gonna do it.

As for Resi 5, the Move enabled disc is only £9.99 at HMV online so you might as well just flog the old one on eBay rather than pay for a patch!

Re: Hands On: High Lighting Our Move Concerns

Dazza

I don't think the bright light thing is really gonna be too much of a problem in the home environment really. From all accounts Move seems much more accurate than Wiimote + MotionPlus and doesn't require reseting every 10 mins or so... should be a winner.

Re: PlayStation Move Tipped to Trump Kinect Down Under

Dazza

Bold words from our friends down under. I do think both Move and Kinect have the potential to be a huge success, but at the moment it's really up for grabs isn't it?

Both systems have great tech, so it's gonna come down to the quality of the games and how well they use the motion sensing wizardry on offer.
