buying GTA 5 like it just came out a few days ago. Dang the game isn't that good to be selling this well for so long.

Edit: both US and Europeans are equally dumb to keep paying for GTA5. GTA 5 offline was a good game but I hated GTA5 online with the racism and the extremely slow time it took to get into a game mode. I traded in GTA5 a few yrs ago.

I bought GTA5 on PS3 then when I bought my day one PS4 I bought GTA 5 on PS4 just to play online since PS3 version online was a horrific mess for not working for a long time.

Friday the 13th is absolutely garbage. I can't believe people paid for that extremely low quality(in animations, gameplay and graphics). I have watched plenty of YouTube videos and the game is just a piece of dung. I wouldn't pay 50 cents for the game.

@adf86 well you are wrong. No game should be considered GOTY if it's 20 yrs old unless it's completely redone like rachet and clank taking all the best aspects of its previous games and modernizing it. Even in rachet and clank case it's still not a brand new game. Just make a category for best remake/ remaster. People need to stop having Rose colored glasses with these darn remakes. Just enjoy the game and leave the nonsense talk alone.

@adf86 you can't put GOY on a old A$& game. I just don't understand gamers. It's nice crash and omega is back but it's ludicrous to take shine away from new games coming out this yr. Just enjoy crash and don't give it more than it deserves which is a pretty good coat of new paint.

I went with Horizon, Neir Automata and nex machina. I tried crash demo and didn't like it. I want to get wipeout omega collection at some point. I assume the price will drop soon on wipeout. I replayed aloy of games this yr or picked up old games at Bargain basement price.

I thought bioware denied it also but I read they only discredited the news source. It's probably cancelled but they didn't want it to be told by someone else

I played the demo at Best Buy in the USA. I never played the originals and I didn't like the controls. I hear the 1st game was from the demo and was considered the worse game. But I tried the demo on 2 separate occasions and just wasn't feeling the stuff no precise jumps that felt too loose in my opinion.

@BAMozzy Dunkirk is a reference to advanced war or COD WW2? Did you play Cod WW2 campaign from E3. 2017? I didn't remember most of the COD content since I mostly only play the campaign.

Wolfenstein 2 is going to be a great game just let me the first one. It may even better but it's not day one since I don't buy $60 single player only games. I know I buy cod for the campaign but I trade it in but I still at least try out the mp for a few hours.

Battlefront 1 was my favorite MP besides Titan fall2. I see BF1 my go to MP as well. I was one it those who weren't happy about BF1 had not enough content. I wish they had single player but I thoroughly enjoyed the game and paid for season pass. I rarely ever get season passes but I wanted every bit of goodness from Bafflefront 1 content. I am even happier BF2 has no seaskm passs and has the campaign.

@BAMozzy after looking at E3 coverage, COD WW2 loooks like its lore of the same. I thought Modern infinite warfare campaign was good but aweful MP. I normally only play COD for campaign then trade it in. COD WW2 story has to be great for me to get this one.

Battlefront 2, Need for Speed payback, UC lost legacy.

Notable games could be Madden 18 if great reviews. Knack 2 if also rave reviews. Wolfenstein 2 if money allows.

I agree with this overly sensitive culture we live in is bogus. But I am old school and feel that Xbox shouldn't say anything remotely negative about Sony since Xbox has a more powerful machine with games that don't utilize the power besides Forza.

I don't like Sony and Xbox kissing each other's back side but I also don't like this foolish tweets against the other company unprovoked. Now if Sony was asked a question directly about what they thought about Xbox then they should be honest. Phil Spencer of all the people should keep his mouth shut about Sony who is dominating him in sales and great games.

I don't need convincing about how good the game is after playing the demo at Best Buy in the US. I preordered it for $16 with $4 off as a ps+ member

I am glad it's a bonus since it could be trash and I don't have any reliable gamers to play with online either.

@BAMozzy I agree great games are taking 4-5 yrs to make. Another reason is that too many AAA games are shown weeks out before E3. So E3 has become diluted because the big AAA games are getting so much coverage before E3.

@Ralizah exactly, plus the so call Microsoft exclusives aren't really that interesting like crackdown 3, state of decay and sea of thieves. Crackdown was switched from regular graphics to cell shaded and looks like a PS3 game. The gunplay looks weak for crackdown and isn't a system seller in my opinion. Only ori and cuphead interest me from Xbone.

@Lovespuds if Sony just didn't have the pre show and had those games at the conference would have made a slight difference.

E3 wasn't really all that great except for the fact Sony had the games I love. Spider-Man is the game that won the Sony conference and by far my most anticipated day one purchase . I am looking forward to buying Detroit become human also but no idea when it's released. I like Days Gone and GOW but not in love with them. Sony treated E3 like a step child for ps experience. Uncharted lost legacy should be a great game but Its more of uncharted 4 which is my favorite franchise but not my favorite game. I hope it's much better than UC 4.

My day one purchases this yr are Need for Speed, UC lost legacy(unless bad reviews) and Battlefront 2. Knack 2 is high on my list for a potential day one buy. Madden after many yrs of skipping it is a potential buy due to story mode and frostbite engine conversion.

My issue with madden franchise is its monopoly and getting rid of Competition from 10 yrs ago of NFL 2k. I am from orlando and lived their during the time madden pushed nfl2k out of the market. NFL 2k even out of desperation last game was $20 at launch and many people including me thought it was becoming better than madden. Then at E3 17 I couldn't find gameplay of madden since they wouldn't allow any gamer to take videos. So this has already soured me from the potentially buying this yrs game.

Anthem looks like a great game and only the makers of the 2 brothers game showed new games that interest me.

Microsoft has no games that interest me enoug to buy a $500 console. So I will continue to stick with PS4 which Sony has been the only console I buy. Sony doesn't have to or need to do cross play with Microsoft and I am sure if Xbox was in the lead they wouldn't be willing to cross play either.

Wolfenstein is the other game this yr I am looking forward to playing since I loved The New Order. Metro exodus was another great trailer and I immediately knew what the game was from the beginning of the trailer. I loved playing the metro redux(2 games) and looking forward to that release.

There were great games but the actually show after the conferences seem to not show enough live demos of games I wanted to see. The live demo of detroit become human and days gone alternate path were great.

I wasn't impressed with AC origins but I appreciated them showing live demos at every interview they went to. At too many interviews developers only showed the trailers of their games instead of playing the game. E3 has become too corporate and I got tired of hearing about closed door footage of games or demos played like UC lost legacy, wolfenstein and Spider-Man. Now I hear June 20th ND will show the extended footage of lost legacy instead of them doing it at E3.

Sony also did stupid stuff like show knack 2, Nino kuni and GT sports before the conference which makes no darn sense.

Robert preach on brother!!!! It's so true that fans love to complain and very hard to please. I think the show was a success for Sony but ko where near as good as the yrs before. I appreciate them at least having a soft release day window for the big games.

My only major disappointment was spidey not coming out this yr but I am also happy it's not rushed out for the movie. This will be most likely my favorite game next yr.

Microsoft prove to me why I am glad to be a Sony pony since they have no AAA first party good games. I love graphics but not enough over just buying multi plats and my console/PS4 not having great exclusives.

@lacerz technically hellblade nor ni no kuni are exclusives since they are going to be on PC. So that means Xbox doesnt have any exclusives since all their games will be on PC.

it was good only for the games but not good for the great games coming out next yr. Spiderman is the game of the show for me then GOW4 then days gone then detroit become human. Knack 2 should be much better than original.

I almost wanted to give sony a MEH survey reaction cause the audio was f up for the first 10 mins and Sucker punch is no where to be seen. Sony also makes no sense not putting knack 2 and GT sports in their conference. The damn conference was already to short so they might as well advertise all their exclusives on during their conference. GT sports will get slaughtered against all the other driving games coming out this yr. But it still should pretend to be confident and give a exact date which means its possible this damn game can get delayed again. Polyphony are the most f up developers for sony.

@BAMozzy the bottom line is 3rd party games sell more but exclusives help determine which system someone wants whether they buy those games at a 10-15 million clip or not. There is a reason xbox sold half as Sony consoles. It's cause Sony has more exclusives with variety and story driven along with great indie games.

I get it that a lot of people buy AC games etc which imo aren't that good as well as WD which the first one was ok. Destiny and COD and Battlefield and battlefront sell systems. But exclusives set a console apart from one another. Xbox X isn't enough to pursue people to buy it especially at that price.

@BAMozzy it's the culmination of all the Sony exclusives and not just one based on the #'s you gave on UC 4 and Horizon. But these and others that are Sony exclusives make its system so much more appealing. Spider-Man, GOW4, Detroit become human, sucker punch game, wild, dreams, TLOU 2, knack 2( yes it will be a much better sequel), UC lost legacy and more to come.

@Brasilkilla exactly. Microsoft do not make new ip's that have iconic characters. Phil spencer made it clear he is going for MP type games without the single player experience. Single player characters resonate with fans and they fall in love with these characters and they care about their stories that are told. Plus Sony make games that build great lore and side characters. Gears and halo seem to be good games but Xbox rely on these games way too much.

@Akropolon Sony should give us backward compatibility but I personally don't care about playing old games unless they are remastered. It's sad that the Microsoft highest praise during the conference was for backwards compatibility for 16 yr old games vs the new games. I don't think even Xbox fans were impressed with their first party games. All the great games were 3rd party such as anthem, metro, assassin creed origin( not impressed but still system seller to most) and they are system seller type games.

@CAE9872 I am a Sony pony but I can take off my bias and I wanted xbox X to be a stellar console with GREAT FIRST PARTY GAMES. If you think forza 7 is a console seller you are sadly mistaken. Microsoft conference was bad not cause the Xbox X is too expensive but for not having great first party games. All the great games they showed at the Xbox conference are multi plats. Xbox X isn't a huge enough leap from PS4 pro for people to want to spend $100 more or potentially even more if Sony reduce PS4 pro price. I don't care what bias console lovers say. First party exclusives separate the difference between which console you want to buy. Most people don't buy every console that comes out they pick and choose. I have never had more than one console at a time and I choose Sony since they have always had the best games with the most wide variety of choices in genres.

Xbox conference was terrible imo and I wanted it to be great to give good competition to Sony which imo It didn't. Crackdown 3 didn't even show gameplay and was changed to cell shading which tells you something and it coming out this yr. cup head and ori which are indie games are great looking games but not system sellers. System sellers are AAA games and sea of thieves and crackdown 3 nor state of decay 2 will sell massive amount of systems. State of decay 2 look like a crowd funded low budget games and not top quality like The Last of Us which is a system seller. Microsoft just doesn't have the first part talent Sony has.

I don't have anymore gaming so this game won't work for me. It would be nice if they had matchmaking and if someone left the game the AI partner would takeover. This game feels like a dead on arrival deal.

@get2sammyb I sort of agree with you but they should at least mention some major update to the PS system. Also the conference must be longer to indicate not just trailers will be shown.

@BAMozzy you are right on the money that Microsoft needs to have great games to keep Sony on its A game. Sony needs to be longer than 1 hour and show significant gameplay of Spider-Man, GOW4, Detroit become human, wild, dreams, UC lost legacy and days gone. But Sony also needs to show significantly new games and improvements to its UI and new features of PS and not just stability updates.

This was the first ME game I was interested in since the combat looked a lot better to perform than its predecessors. I saw all the bad animations and felt a series that relied on building great relationships was imperative to have good animations to be convincing. I also read al the reviews an this game had far more issues than animations with Glitches galore, poor acting, boring intro, and bland planets. I do not like gay stuff in games as well that has to be in your face. Horizon had a character that was gay but at least it was subtle.

I watched tons of videos and even watched most endings knowing I wasn't going to buy the game at the state it was in. I thought the ending was very boring and overall a mediocre game. I totally agree with 6/10 from angry joe. Yes, I didn't play the game but I watched over 2-4 hours of gameplay and that was enough for me to stay clear of this game.

@wiiware I suppoae if you are getting the steel book and art book you are buying the physical copy. I am not 100% sure I understand your response. If you are explaining about only spending full digital games but mention having steelbooks etc. does this mean you get the game digitally(code) but get the steelbook and art book is the only thing physically?

If both digital and physical are the same price then you prove my point that it doesn't benefit buying digital especially if you want art book and steelbook.

@wiiware so you will lose money to buy a game digitally cause you don't like a case? I mean this is the most silly thing I've heard. I would Assume you compared prices prior to buying it digitally. Gamers really have silly reasons to waste money. Since I am sure the digital cost the same as the physical without the means to trade in. Just read my post on how you can save far more on physical games that are AAA OR AA at $60-40 standard game. I have never wasted money on steel books to look at art books and over priced bonus content like statutes etc. but to each their own. I extremely, rarely ever buy season passes unless I got the standards game really cheap and preferably got the season pass on sale. Which has happen once or twice.

@Shellcore exactly. So people stop buying $60 AAA digital games on launch just to play at midnight or to lazy to put a disc into console.

Some more comments. It's crazy how people could ever want all digital when for example they see a game for $30 on sale at a Best Buy but the digital copy of the same game is still $60? Why would anyone buy a digital game they see never go on sale at the retail store? Meaning the retail is also selling a digital copy.

Psn store have great sales but it's rare those AAA games sales are better than a physical copy sale The only time digital sales are better than retail for AAA is more than a yr later. I aint trying to pay $30 -40 for a AAA game on psn sale that I may regret I bought. Now psn has always great sales for indie and AA titles that were already at $40 or less from release date. Those game go on REAL GREAT sales more often than AAA high profile games. Also with Best Buy gamers club the games sold at $40 will be $30 since from $60-40 games still get the 20% discount. Also Best Buy gives 10% off use games. The trade ins give a extra 10% off and 4 times a yr a extra 50% trade in with the 10% trade in. You could literally get more money for a game you bought when you trade it if you trade at the right time.

I always compare retail prices prior to buying a digital copy to see if the digital price is so low the retail would never go to that price. Since it wouldn't profit to sell most games at $5-12.

Also the problem is on day one AAA games, should be cheaper digitally than a physical copy. If you don't have Best Buy gamers club not amazon prime. You should have all digital games at $55 or less since publishers are saving so much money not shipping disc in cases plus the overhead in stores. I don't want Best Buy nor amazon to ever go away from selling games at a discount. If Sony had some type of trade in policy like Microsoft then I would consider more digital buys but not until then.

There are still a lot of people with bad internet. I have great internet speed but it's unreliable lately With spectrum which took over time warner.

@blah01 I have patience for some games but most of my highly anticipated games I want day one. I never want the industry to go all digital. It's bad enough now that games can be broken, games want to be always online, Bethesda don't want you to review their games prior to launch etc. games developers/ publishers aren't transparent enough for me to go all digital. I don't want to pay no more than $20 digital and those games are exceptions but most of the times my price range is $5-12 avg. including AAAand indie.

@iv-tecman I will never go all digital with the prices the same. Well the prices aren't the same in the US since Best Buy gamers club and Amazon prime members get $12 off physical AAA games. The physical copies are free shipping with Best Buy and come sometimes a day or 2 earlier than preorders from a digital preorder game. Midnight release for digital isn't much of a incentive for me if I get a $60 plus tax game for $50 brand new physical copy and get it days earlier with free shipping and left at my front door
It's rare a AAA digital game is $5 off at launch let alone $12 off. I can trade in my game at half or much more than half the price I paid for it at Best Buy. If I sell it to private owner I can get more money but that can be a hassle with Craigslist since people want something for nothing on that site. Not to mention some games at Best Buy Ike battlefront 2 will give me $10 if I preorder once I pic up the game that goes to my next purchase. Their are too many advantages to physical to ever go digital. I have bought much more digital games BUT ONLY WHEN GAMES ARE DIRT CHEAP LIKE $5-12.

NFS Rivals was worth $12 which I spent. I played the beta open and closed for 2015 and I didn't like the constant darkness. The single player is offline and mention of dirt and cop chases has me excited again. They need to allow us to be cops again just like NFS rivals.

@CB7Tuner91 I hate games that is always online connectivity. If your servers aren't good or they just went down temporarily for whatever reason then you can't play the game.

I liked nba2k series but stop buying them. They had sucky servers and if the servers were having tech difficulties then I couldn't even play offline since the franchise mode is connected to the online servers.

@stevejcrow it's ok if you dot like Horizon. It's a great game but still could've better. I am not sure why you didn't like It but The story is engaging and the combat gets better and better. So give it some more time. A lot of people says it's starts slowly but to me I like that. I like aloy as a child and see how she became a outcast and how she handled it.

@mookysam yeah and dummies keep supporting Ubisoft at a large clip. I like few of their games like valiant heart and Raymond legends. But I try not to support Ubisoft all that much.

@CB7Tuner91 I love Star Wars atmosphere from the movies so Battlefront resonated with me from 10 yrs ago and 2015. Battlefront was the only MP game I played over 200 hours. But i much more prefer single player games since I like thought provoking stories. Battlefront is a anomaly for me. Division was a trash story and a bullet sponge shooter. I hated the beta after I gave it well over 10 hours per closed and open beta. I like destiny demo that lasted almost 10-20 hours. But i had no interest to buy the game.

I get why MP only games are popular but they do not drive me to love video games. Single player games must remain viable and gamers need to support them. Like you guys said, publishers can turn off servers in a heartbeat but they can't with single player games.
