The decision to make this a $40 release killed any chance the game had. It would still be an uphill battle even if the game was free to play. I feel bad for the people who made it and have to see such a toxic reaction but it's a good lesson for sony to see that their audience is not into this kind of game.
@JohnnyShoulder "It was never our intention to tease the name as Silent Hill." Come on, man. Yeah, the fans started with the Silent Hill theories but they also helped to fuel it. How can they say the previous tweet was not a Silent Hill tease?
I want to believe it but we've been burned with Silent Hill rumours so many times that it's hard to take this seriously.
Also, people have been asking if Sony will do an event soon. There's a rumour from the same guy that leaked Far Cry 6 gameplay that Sony will do something on July 8th, let's hope so.
So there's a rumor flying around that it's the FF14 team that is doing this game which is an interesting direction. It makes sense too because the main team has already moved on to FF7 Part 2 and they must also be doing some KH related thing alongside (not including the rhythm game)
The Arkham game that WB Montreal did wasn't well received, to the point where it isn't even on the remastered collection for PS4. Maybe Rocksteady doesn't want them messing with their universe.
Don't know what to think of it. I don't care about the Suicide Squad but I trust Rocksteady, we'll see. On a side note the art style in this trailer reminded me a bit of Sunset Overdrive.
@AdamNovice Sort of. The end of Arkham Knight hints that maybe Bruce and Alfred both died, but in the gameplay here we see Alfred talking to Batgirl so it seems like it's a different take on it. The whole idea of Batman dying (or keeping it open if he is dead or not) is something that is quite common, even the Nolan movies play with that.
@AdamNovice I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be set in the Arkham universe, all the character designs are way different, so is the gameplay. This is it's own thing.
From what little they said it doesn't look like it's as service focused as the Avengers though, but more like a campaign with co-op and some rpg elements.
It always surprises me how riled up people get about not having a half naked anime girl in their game. If you want to fap to an anime girl so bad there's plenty of hentai out there where you get the full action, you don't need to pay 60 dollars for a game where usually the gameplay is mediocre cause it's just an excuse to see some fanservice
I'm surprised this news generated so much debate, console exclusive characters have been a thing for a while. Kratos was a MK9 exclusive character, also way back in the day the Soul Calibur games had exclusive characters too.
I bought in on both PS4 and Switch just because I want to support the series as much as I can so they keep releasing it in english, but I gotta say I was pretty underwhelmed with the upgrades of the definitive edition. It's cool to choose your waifu I guess, but the new side chapters didn't do much for me.
The xbox show was good, and they are building a decent first party lineup, but there isn't anything there that really makes me want to buy a Series X. My biggest fear was that they would have an exclusive deal with a big third party game but that wasn't the case.
@Ken_Kaniff I kind of agree. This is taking way longer than usual for FromSoftware. They have two teams and I read in an interview that the one doing Elden Ring started development after the Dark Souls III DLCs, so we're talking about early 2017. So it's about three and a half years already with only a teaser.
Sekiro for example was finished in three and a half years , it was the Bloodborne team and they started working post The Old Hunters expansion in late 2015. The game was released early 2019.
The last Rocksteady game was in 2015, and 5 years later their next game is "still a while off"?
Something must have gone wrong there, they probably were working on something else for a while and had to start all over again. It's a shame that of all DC properties they could be working on it's the suicide squad.
See, you babies review bombing the game and throwing a fit on twitter are really making a difference on the commercial and critical reception of the game, keep at it.
So is the gaming industry going to stop anytime there's a more important topic going on? Because I hate to break it, as fun as video games are they are superfluous, everyday there are many more important things that should be discussed happening around the world. Might as well just end the entire gaming industry if you are afraid that people will be offended by the timing of a video game trailer.

It's going to cost as much as the regular PS5 is going to cost in Brazil.

There's a huge chance this bombs like Mighty No9

I think someone at Bandai Namco was fired and is leaking everything on his way out.
Re: E3 2019: Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 Packaging Appears to Leak
The Witcher 3 was released over 4 years ago now. It seems that this is a lot closer than many gave credit for. My bet is spring of 2020.
