@Heavyarms55 Developers won't have to design their worlds around loading times anymore. I don't know if you've played Jedi Fallen Order, but it's a pretty obvious example of this. There are part of the game where you have to squeeze through corridors and it was obviously put in to hide load times. But there are lots of less obvious examples in almost every open world and some non open world games. A fast ssd will remove the shackles of designing around load times for developers.

Will Persona 5 royal and Resident Evil 3 remake be affected by this as well?

@PcTV "borderline unusable" is a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think? Not to mention masterpieces such as FF7 and MGS wouldn't exist if not for sony's decision to use CDs (or at least they would be vastly worse)

@MicHaeL_MonStaR Doom has been on console since almost the beginning. Doom 1 was on SNES/32X/Jaguar/Ps1/Saturn

@MicHaeL_MonStaR because the games are still fun and a new one in the same vein would feel a lot more new than just a remake. Just because you don't care about these old series doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.
