Hey there again my friend glad to hear that Miles was good for you. I'll prioritize playing that between new releases, I'm very excited. See you on next weekend's post!
@B_Lindz Oh man those are all great choices! I have A Plagues Tale waiting for me to play when I can dive deep into the backlog again. Currently it's RE Village, SMT 3 and Biomutant until Ratchet & Clank as well as Shadowverse in June.
I've played all of your next picks, and I'd vote for RE2 Remake. Best RE game easily! Happy gaming
@The_Pixel_King I loved Astro's so much, it was an amazing game to Platinum on launch weekend and was created with so much love. I hope that Astro kinda becomes Sony's mascot because they don't really have a truly dedicated one yet haha.
I need to play Miles Morales ASAP, I was waiting for the crashing issues to get figured out but I haven't heard of anything regarding it still happening so I guess I'm safe
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L It's a good Platinum to get! Such a good cast of characters too. I like Strikers a ton, the gameplay is fun as a non-warriors fan that I am, so no worries on that. Dialogue and interactions/story are on point!
I would recommend checking out The Midnight - Vampires, it's hands down my favorite song in that genre.
Also, nice to meet you! If you'd like to add on PSN, my username is heyheyitsATM
@Wazeddie22 Oh I know EXACTLY who you're referring to... Is it the waves of enemies and you're probably stuck on the green enemies lol. That fight got harder with the Royal edition, definitely my least favorite fight in the game.
Glad to meet more Persona fans! If you'd like to add me on PS, my username is heyheyitsATM
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L I am with you on this! Was able to get the Platinum but it took 146 hours. Such a great experience, and I can’t wait for Persona 6! I’m really hoping they take some sort of synthwave approach for the next one
@Ear_wiG I totally agree with you on that. Isn’t there just something special about the start of 7? The whole setup of having to go rescue your wife from the middle of nowhere, walking up to this back-woods house and it ends up being one of most unsettling locations. Man I love it lol
@Wazeddie22 Looking forward to hearing more about your progress in RE Village!
I loved Persona 5 Royal but man is it long or what? I have seen a lot of people say the final boss isn’t too bad, but he was quite the trouble for me. Hard mode was no joke either, even putting it on Normal didn’t change much haha
@DeepSpace5D I will warn you, if you haven’t gotten to the last biome yet, there is an enemy mostly behind the yellow doors that hits you with a random malfunction if you take damage from him lol. I had the most perfect run going and got too greedy going in there, he hit me a couple times, destroyed my Astronaut due to critical malfunction, then killed me.
I was livid lol. Ended up completing the game on the next run! Gotta go for completion and true ending now.
Has been fun indeed my friend! Looking forward to more discussions
Anyone else loving Resident Evil Village? I’m not sure if I like it more than 7 yet, but it’s definitely very good.
Just got end credits for Returnal, what an amazing game! May either work more on the true ending for that, or make more progress towards Act 2 in Nier Replicant! Hope you all have an incredible weekend of gaming!
@DeepSpace5D Same here my friend! I actually finished it last night and got the credits. Definitely plan on keep playing to get the rest of the lore and collectables haha
GOTY material for sure. I'm so happy with how high quality it is. I think the final boss was really beautiful but it also was the easiest of the bosses for me. Ixion in the 2nd biome was surely the most challenging for me
@DeepSpace5D Isn't this game incredible! you're in for a treat with the 2nd half of the game now that you have passed the 3rd boss. The one after that might be your favorite, but they're all so unique so it's hard to tell. What an insanely good game
@fR_eeBritney That totally makes sense, I just got past that part and can see what you mean about missing a certain room which is such a bummer if you want that map completion :/ brilliant game indeed nevertheless, it's done so well!
@DeepSpace5D I totally feel that. I didn't feel it was unbearably dark until I saw biome 5, especially compared to 1 it makes the first area look like a light show lol
This game is an EASY 9/10 for me after 20 hours or so, almost towards the end of the game. I'd go as far as to say it's the current GOTY, as well as what feels like the first "next-gen" feeling experience.
I could see this game becoming one of the PS5 classics years down the road. It's such high quality. For those who are unsure of it or don't feel it's worth the price... That all changes once you have it in your hands. It is surreal haha
@The_New_Butler While I am a huge collector of physical games and would never sell anything I've purchased, I am right there with you on each game being built to offer loads and loads of content just for the sake of having a million things to do. I have just been disciplining myself to not feel like I have to complete it all, but instead focus on finishing the main game and visit some of the additional content along the way depending on how much I'm loving the game itself. So many great games out though! Tons more with release dates this year already too
@somnambulance I totally felt this too during my first few attempts and successful pass through it. I think the area is a bit longer than others for the sole fact of having you explore more than normal for health upgrades once you get the item after the 2nd boss.
Glad to see you're also playing RE8 and New Pokemon Snap. I have loved the first bit of Snap but haven't played it due to Returnal, RE8 and NieR as well. It was about time Playstation had some more of their heavy hitters release! It just happened to be all within a couple weeks haha.
@wiiware I had the same experience haha the 1st boss is insane. They all have their level of difficulty, but by the 3 biome you should be cruising with upgrades and your preferred weapon so it’s a bit more manageable. Can’t wait to see what’s in Act 2. Gonna start that now, wish me luck!
@Gamer83 agreed with you, RE Village is super tense! I got stuck in that house about 45 minutes in and my first death was to all those enemies due to running out of ammo so quick. Not sure if there was a way out but it seems like an ambush you have to finish off then and there haha. Stoked to get into it tonight!
It’s a fantastic weekend for games! You know I’ll be playing both Returnal and Resident Evil Village.
Currently just finished the 3rd boss in Returnal, so I could see this game getting finished this weekend. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend gaming!
@Korgon Really good choices! I have been itching to get into the Trails series, but have been holding out hoping that they'd come to PSN or Switch. I'm also enjoying Nier, super solid so far have a great weekend gaming!
@TraCuz- You got this! I loved P5 Royal, got the Platinum in 146 hours, man it's a really good game and I can't wait to see what they do for Persona 6. Also, I'm really looking forward to Returnal as well! Happy gaming
NieR Replicant of course! Can we get a playthrough finished before Returnal releases next Friday? And can we finish a run in Returnal before RE8 releases the following Friday?! Probably not to all of those things, but it is a beautiful time to be alive gaming!
Hope you all have a happy weekend gaming, I enjoy reading everyone's journeys on here
It Takes Two, one of the best games of this generation already. Anyone who also owns a console can play with you for free if you have a copy of the game! Get more people into this if you can, it's phenomenal
Still not seeing the appeal to this game after trying it 3 times and dropping it. I knew it was going to be bad when serious players were dropping the main character from their party within an hour due to the gacha system spitting out better skins and stats for their liking.
This sort of thing needs a good story that isn't hidden in cryptic lore books, and unfortunately that takes a backseat for the gacha mechanics and combat/exploration. I also second this needed a better trophy list, this one is rough haha
Very excited for this, as I never got to play it during it's original release. SMT IV: Apocalypse was amazing, and I don't doubt this one either. This will be perfect setup for SMT V coming out later this year (hopefully)
@Col_McCafferty Did you really just have to make it about politics and the "right" ?? Come on man, everyone here already deals with enough of that. Hope you have a better day
@DrJames Very true, but many are advising against buying it right now due to frame-rate and performance issues unfortunately. I think I'm gonna wait for a physical myself for Disco Elysium.
Approaching the endgame of Bravely Default 2 which has been my main focus for the last few weeks. Going to finish up Mario 3D World, as well as make progress in Immortals Fenyx Rising (which is actually unexpectedly excellent).

@Rob_230 I’m with you on this! I’m nearly at the last hour or two of RE Village, brilliant game.
I really wanna get to Like a Dragon sooner rather than later. It looks absolutely amazing
I recently pulled out my Vita yesterday too! Playing through Final Fantasy 1 after probably 15 years haha. Happy gaming my friend!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 377
@render Both amazing Platinums to get!! Sackboy was probably my funnest plat so far
I’m also working on Returnals 100%! My PSN is heyheyitsATM if you’d like to add friends! Happy gaming!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 377
I’m nearing the end of Resident Evil Village! What a great game, it’s proving to be a lot better than expected.
In terms of RPG’s, I’m in my first playthroughs of Dragon Quest V and Final Fantasy 1! Enjoying the classics.
Looking forward to playing Shin Megami Tensei 3 and Biomutant when they both release next Tuesday!
Make it a great weekend gaming, everyone

@Judal27 great job getting that Platinum!! I need to play through the KH series in order.
