@Constable_What are you being serious? It looks fantastic on Switch lol did two playthroughs of it and never noticed a problem. It's one of the better looking and running Switch games too so this is an odd take
@Yinx Bummer to skip an amazing game just because of completionist stuff. I'd definitely consider myself one, but in this game its only an extra 15-20 hours to complete. This is a game that you want to see everything so it's literally a net positive lol
Aside from all the discussion around the topic, this game is absolutely fantastic. Even if you aren't familiar with the franchise, you don't really need to know anything about how things work since this takes place so many years before modern HP.
Aside from the movement mechanics, the combat, smooth exploration, and insanely good attention to detail around every corner... I have to give the highest of praise to the quests and side quests in this game. They have you doing very unique stuff like joining an exclusive wizard dueling club hidden from the staff, or getting tasked with investigating a secret dragon fighting ring where you have to sneak in and set them free.
This whole game is rich and full of passion from start to finish. Easy GOTY contender!
@sentiententity there is something very special about lots of rain and lots of weekend being open. I still need to play through Kaze! Ni No Kuni 2 was solid, but I liked the first one a bit more.
@GorosBat Totally valid purchase, you will enjoy them immensely! Adding to the collection never requires any further justification besides having a passion and love for gaming enjoy!
I will be for the tower but really bummed to see no local co-op, only online. Was a really cool feature in thought, but I guess they can't make it happen.
@IonMagi The last one from October ended up being pretty solid! Little Devil Inside, new Star Ocean, Bugsnax DLC, King of Fighters XV, Death's Door, and a few others I haven't heard of before. Pretty good for 20 minutes
@Jango-Forest The Frozen Wilds DLC is more of a side story, filler type deal that isn't needed for Forbidden West. Join us on the exciting release weekend!
@Iver Why do you buy the other 80% of games if you already go into it knowing you don't finish them? Do you also go to movies and walk out after a half hour? Lol
@MightyDemon82 Both of the Ori games are so fantastic, always makes me happy when other people get into them! Also, really stoked for that huge Animal Crossing update in a couple weeks.
This weekend is consisting of The Great Ace Attorney on Switch as well as continuing Death’s Door which released very recently and is similar to Hades!
Also, a new game called Lamentum finally dropped yesterday. If you can imagine a pixel-art version of Resident Evil that includes limited ammo and saves, lots of really unique puzzles, and exploring a huge creepy mansion in the 1800s, it’s extremely good!
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L Honestly not sure how there is a lull right now, it has been one of the most stacked years for games. Might be a great time to expand the horizons with new variety!
Great Ace Attorney, Skyward Sword, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, all of the Dragon Quest games, Doom Eternal DLC, the Iki Island expansion for Ghost of Tsushima, Resident Evil 7 & 8, It Takes Two, Ender Lilies, Death's Door, the list goes on and on.
Not even to mention the stuff that's still coming through the next few months. Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Tales of Arise, Metroid, Shin Megami Tensei V, Pokemon remakes, Advance Wars remakes, the Danganronpa collection.
Just finding it super hard to believe there isn't anything exciting to play.
@Demon666Joker I don't blame you for that at all haha. I was planning on finishing Ratchet within a week given how stoked I was, but I'm only halfway through cuz I wanted to savor it. You are going to love Hades!
This weekend is going to be full of Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation on the 3DS!
I was also able to snag my best friend a PS5 after dozens of attempts, so we're gonna be jumping on Battlefield 4 in preparation for BF 2042 releasing in a few months!
This entire weekend has been dedicated to Monster Hunter Stories 2 so far! What an amazing game. Will be marathoning that game until Skyward Sword comes out next Friday. Happy gaming everyone!
This is the only review I've seen not bragging about how good the characters and writing is, so I'm gonna vote against PushSquare on this one and assume they had someone review this game who didn't care about it very much from the start. That, or they rushed through it to get the review out.
Bandai been on a hot streak lately, and this doesn't seem to be slowing it down at all. Stoked to play this all weekend!
@pocketjazz Congrats on having a mangeable backlog though!
For starters, you have a really good list! Hollow Knight is one of my all time favorite games, played it 3 times. You are in for a real treat with RE 2 and 3 Remake, loved them both (though 2 is packed with more content and puzzles).
I really want to get to Like A Dragon, but it just doesn't have a spot yet. My current order is Xenoblade, Ratchet, Dragon Quest V, Skyward Sword, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Great Ace Attorney
Oh I forgot about Scarlet Nexus and a few other smaller games. What a great time to be alive haha
@Korgon Fair point haha. I do have CS1 on PS4 but I really want them all handheld honestly! Plus how can they bring 3 and 4 to Switch and not 1+2? Shooting themselves in the foot in terms of proper story and world building.
@Bluetrain7 I'm in the same boat as you! It's hard not to rush it because it's done so well, and also because it's so short compared to other games. I don't mind though given how amazing it is. Hope you continue to enjoy it!
Ratchet & Clank of course as we get into E3 proper! I can't wait to see all the conferences and announcements. Sony has already had a good week with a few stellar releases.
Also playing through Xenoblade Chronicles and the new Wonder Boy on Switch. Been a huge fan of that series since a Youtuber named 'HappyConsoleGamer' raved about how good it was!
I’ll take this opportunity to suggest It Takes Two for everyone reading this!
If you don’t have someone to play with or don’t want to purchase it, let me know and I’d love to play through it with you! You can play the entire game for free as long as one person has a copy of the game
I thought it was really good! Can't really find any complaints about it honestly, aside from the fact that I wish it had more of the horror elements from 7. That game was just so creepy and really well done.
So far I'd probably rate my favorites as 2 Remake, 7, 8, 4, and 3 Remake. Haven't played 0, 1, 5 or 6 (might keep skipping 5 and 6 due to their action changes) but I'm still not convinced I should totally dismiss them. You know?
@Wazeddie22 The Reaper shouldn't be too bad for ya, I think the 5th palace boss and the final boss were tougher because there is only a couple specific ways to set your party up for the Reaper to where you'll just secure the win haha.
I love RE Village a ton, it had a few scary parts (like the doll mansion) and a couple jump scares, but definitely not as scary as 2 and 7
Glad to see you here again my friend! I'm working towards that Platinum as well for Returnal, what a great game. Will be finishing up RE Village tonight!
Also, you are in for a treat with the Scarlet Nexus demo. It sold me on the game easily if you'd like to add on PSN, my username is heyheyitsatm! Have a great weekend gaming
@Vacuumator I would say that's very accurate! How are you liking the game on Switch? I've been playing on PS5 and it looks gorgeous. I agree though, it does help to alleviate some of that open world fatigue you can feel. Hope you enjoy the rest of it, and the DLC as well!
@gollumb82 That is totally fair haha Morgana can be annoying. They revamped a lot of the battle mechanics and features, such as reloading your bullets after each match instead of making you completely leave the palace, and more in-depth on Baton Pass which made battles really enjoyable.
They also have the new Royal story content which ended up being some of my favorite, but it happens after the original final boss so it's nearly the same game up until that point
@gollumb82 The boss in the 5th palace is pretty rough in the standard version, but they honestly made it even tougher in Royal. I feel for ya though, having to play the original instead of Royal because of how many improvements it has while at the same time, not being worth playing P5 and Royal one after the other. Atlus did just enough to keep it mostly the same lol
@Wazeddie22 Great choices! I loved P5 Royal, played every day from November to February until I got the Platinum after 146 hours haha. Gonna finish RE Village today as well, it has been stellar so far. It truly feels like a sequel to RE4! Happy gaming, friend
@darkswabber Really good choices on your end! I loved Hades, such a good game.
As far as Immortals is concerned, I was actually pleasantly surprised with how good it is. I saw a lot of people unhappy with how casual the dialogue is, but I think it has a certain charm to it because of how it was expected to be serious. I think Immortals is Ubisoft's best game in recent years
Another great weekend of gaming ahead! I’ll be finishing my first run through RE Village and continuing through Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition in celebration of it’s 1 year since release.
I’m also looking to play through Ratchet & Clank 2016 before Rift Apart comes out in a couple weeks.
What’s everyone else playing during this holiday weekend? Looking forward to it!

Switch: Finishing up Kirby and the Forgotten Land, making more progress in Xenoblade Chronicles DE.
PS5: Returnal, the game that keeps on giving

Re: GTA 5 (PS5) - Rockstar's Los Santos Is Still One of the Best Open Worlds Ever Assembled
I'm tempted to pick up with it being so cheap, but as a physical collector I'm still trying to hold out.
Does anyone know if the PS5 disc version will be around the $20-30 range or are they going to make it full priced?

Been really enjoying The Great Ace Attorney: Resolve, on the 3rd case and it’s shaping up to be very interesting.
Also working my way slowly through Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart as well as Metroid Dread, I don’t want those shorter games to be over already!

@pocketjazz I'm looking forward to seeing how the new Skyward controls play out as well. I think it will sell great on Switch either way!
My personal bias will tell you to go the P5R route because of how good Persona is, however if you pick the Yakuza route, I hope it's Like A Dragon!
