I don't think the game is easier, I think they streamlined alot of things that artificially made it hard and gave the players way more options to be defensively and offensively aggressive with perfect blocks/dodges and offset attacks.
You can fight monsters before you're "authorized" to fight them. Imagine in the other games if I can fight a yian kut Ku before great Jaggi and get geared out prior to the game giving me a story reason to do so.
Also add in that your first hunt of any monster isn't locked to solo and that the AI hunters are surprisingly competent and aware of your health and status effects makes encounters easier.
I've played all of LR hunts solo and have carted once or twice due to using chata armor until the end and not being too aware of some monster patterns. Difficulty is fine as is ATM
I find most of it to be great, we have a good (exclusive I believe) RPG this winter with granblue, of course spiderman 2 is a great fall release...we have another big RPG release in June with ff16....I'm not sure when helldivers 2 is dropping but with the change to TPS it looks like that new starship troopers game that just released and that (ATM) is incredibly fun.
Overall, it's Xbox time to shine given the lackluster 3? Years of nothing burger since it launched....Nintendo...I don't know what they have but the only thing interesting was totk and that just dropped...so I'm assuming their next showcase will be "mid" like everyone is saying this one was.
Needs more blue water,blue sky...Holy orders....fatal battle.
I'm not a fan of vocal tracks in fighting games...I miss the old days of Capcom's old music, vf2, Tekken 3,6 tag, blazblue etc...there would legit be songs where I did better because the music immersed me and my timing on things was perfect

Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4
They'll be fine, if it's bad value on ps it's also bad value on PC as the gamepass version is "exclusive" to Xbox...
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out and maybe be seen as a case of if day one games effect sales elsewhere
