Re: Sekiro Wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019

Well deserved I think, amazing game. Someone mentioned above this isn't talked about by sites much.

I'd say that is due to having no multiplayer or dlc, those sort of things get reported on a lot, just look at Destiny. Not having those doesn't make it any less deserving though, just less of a cash cow. That's no bad thing.

Oooh, the psone, amazing times. My Dad told me we would be getting one, I was excited but didn't actually know what to expect. I just knew the next generation of video games could only be a good thing.

But wow, what an understatement. On seeing Tomb Raider loaded up for the first time with my family, I was absolutely amazed. And that feeling continued for quite some time, what an incredible game. My jaw dropped a few times at Final Fantasy 7 as well, they told one hell of a story there.

The PSone introduced me to Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy (the best ones), Resident Evil, Command & Conquer, Tekken, Wipeout, Armored Core, Vandal Hearts, Xcom, G-Police, Castlevania, Rollcage and so many other amazing classics.

It still has the best version of classic Doom even to this day. And it had the best video game magazine ever created with one hell of a demo disc to look forward to each month. The PS4 is great, no doubt, but PSone is still king for me.

@JimbobLink
I'd suggest starting a post by calling the author a hypocrite definitely leans more towards trolling than debate. Not that I'm wishing to pile on here but it's something to reflect on.

Back on topic, Spencer doesn't know his numbers it seems, either that or he's being disingenuous here. As for calling VR isolating, I would disagree. I don't think you can simply apply that notion to the technology as a whole, it comes down to the individual games.

Having played some of the party games on psvr with a few different groups, I can tell you they were in no way isolating. We could do with a few more party games on the platform though in my opinion.

Re: Soapbox: The Most Frustrating Thing About Enthusiast Gamers

There will always be some who are very resistant to change or anything new. Video games is one of those things where it's inevitable that things will move forward for better or worse.

With the amount of remakes and remasters we're getting these days it's clear there's plenty of room for both old and new. No need to be scared folks, the games you know and love aren't going anywhere soon.

Both Bioware and Bethesda as a developer have been incredibly disappointing this generation. To the point where I've lost all faith in both.

But if we look at Final Fantasy 15 and Metal Gear Solid 5, they were released in a very much unfinished state as well.

So i can only imagine what some of these publishers will try to pull next generation where things will be even more challenging.
