Well deserved I think, amazing game. Someone mentioned above this isn't talked about by sites much.
I'd say that is due to having no multiplayer or dlc, those sort of things get reported on a lot, just look at Destiny. Not having those doesn't make it any less deserving though, just less of a cash cow. That's no bad thing.
Gearbox have one popular overrated ip. Everything else they put out has been terrible as I recall. And most of us know how dishonest / unethical they are as a company. Disappointing.
Oooh, the psone, amazing times. My Dad told me we would be getting one, I was excited but didn't actually know what to expect. I just knew the next generation of video games could only be a good thing.
But wow, what an understatement. On seeing Tomb Raider loaded up for the first time with my family, I was absolutely amazed. And that feeling continued for quite some time, what an incredible game. My jaw dropped a few times at Final Fantasy 7 as well, they told one hell of a story there.
Respecting the competition is smart, Google have a lot of money to throw around, it would have been foolish to underestimate them. Wouldn't be worth risking the assumption that they would mess up the launch so badly.
The PSone introduced me to Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy (the best ones), Resident Evil, Command & Conquer, Tekken, Wipeout, Armored Core, Vandal Hearts, Xcom, G-Police, Castlevania, Rollcage and so many other amazing classics.
It still has the best version of classic Doom even to this day. And it had the best video game magazine ever created with one hell of a demo disc to look forward to each month. The PS4 is great, no doubt, but PSone is still king for me.
@JimbobLink I'd suggest starting a post by calling the author a hypocrite definitely leans more towards trolling than debate. Not that I'm wishing to pile on here but it's something to reflect on.
Back on topic, Spencer doesn't know his numbers it seems, either that or he's being disingenuous here. As for calling VR isolating, I would disagree. I don't think you can simply apply that notion to the technology as a whole, it comes down to the individual games.
Having played some of the party games on psvr with a few different groups, I can tell you they were in no way isolating. We could do with a few more party games on the platform though in my opinion.
I go where the best games are and Sony consistently wins there, Microsoft don't even show up to that battle as far as I'm concerned. Although they have got Obsidian now, so I suspect I'll miss out in not playing their games.
@Rob_230 @naruball It hasn't just happened to me, I promise you. They are indeed good, up until the point they make a mistake. The customer service is non existent when that happens, the price you pay for going with them. If you do manage to speak with them, they are always rude and unhelpful. Worth being aware of.
I feel the PS4's best year was easily when Bloodborne & The Witcher 3 launched back to back. 2020 may trump that, no guarantees of course. Plenty of big triple A titles have been hugely disappointing this generation. But I'm cautiously optimistic we'll see some fantastic titles.
I am incredibly angry about this, despite the fact it's probably been lost in translation. I'm going to protest by eating spaghetti bolognese. Maniacal laugh
@rjejr Haha, yes FF7 all day long. I'm definitely no fan of Fortnite but I'd personally have more fun playing that than Fifa. One of the most boring games there is for me.
There will always be some who are very resistant to change or anything new. Video games is one of those things where it's inevitable that things will move forward for better or worse.
With the amount of remakes and remasters we're getting these days it's clear there's plenty of room for both old and new. No need to be scared folks, the games you know and love aren't going anywhere soon.
Usually it's the indie game that I'm looking forward to but this month I definitely prefer the look of Nioh. No surprise I suppose, considering the avatar.
Good, a game that's made for everyone is not a game I'm interested in playing. Nice to see a big budget game that actually tries something different rather than mimic whatever is currently trending.
Sounds decent, I wonder what other classic Disney remasters might be in the works. Odd they never put Ducktales remastered on the PS4, that was really good.
Now they've shown their true colours, I'm looking forward to seeing them being given a hard time at BlizzCon. Seems likely this thing will escalate there and it would be well deserved considering their behaviour and total disregard for their own so called values.
Heard there are some boycotting this over the scandal with acti-blizzard over their stance with free speech, human rights, etc. Guessing it won't make much of a dent in sales though, these things rarely do but perhaps there will be a big impact if things carry on.
I would agree that Bloodborne is the best, but Dark Souls 1 is a close 2nd. Admittedly I've not properly played Demon's Souls, hopefully a remake is in the works as rumoured.

Re: Tekken 7 Gets Leroy Smith Release Date, Amazing Ganryu Redesign, and a Brand New Character
A shame the plat was so easy for this game, I traded it in ages ago. Didn't expect to see it get so much extra content.

Re: Random: PlayStation Wedding Cake Signals Game Over for the Groom
I can understand looking after a baby making it difficult for someone to find time for their hobbies but simply being married? I don't think so.
Re: Talking Point: What Free December 2019 PS Plus Game Do You Want?
I wouldn't say no to a psvr game on there, that would be nice, assuming it's a decent one.
Re: Civilization VI - The Best Strategy Game on PS4
Sounds like fun, been quite a while since the last Civilization was on Playstation.
Re: Random: Trophy Hunter Creates Mural Dedicated to His Past 200 Platinums
Nice collection. I'm closing in on the big 100. No rush. Littlebigplanet was my first platinum, brilliant game.
Re: Blacksad: Under the Skin - A 1950s Whodunit with More Bugs Than Mysteries
Nice review, hopefully they fix it, looks like there's a fun game there with a bit more TLC.

Looking forward to it!
Just don't buy it from them, they'll charge you for three copies and tell you it's your fault.
Re: Naughty Dog Has 'Big Ambitions' for Its Next Multiplayer Project
I'm a bit concerned after they introduced pay to win microtransations into the game last time. It was a lot of fun until they did that.

Unexpected, what a curious name for the game, sounds like a mobile phone game spin off.
Re: No, BioWare Is Not Teasing a Dragon Age 4 Reveal for Next Month
I was actually hoping for an Anthem 2 announcement.
Re: Feature: How a French Firm Created PS4's Answer to the Xbox Elite Controller
Impressive numbers, I've yet to be convinced they're worth getting over the official ones but always nice to have the choice.
Re: Soapbox: Return of the Obra Dinn Is Outstanding, Save for One Blasted Trophy
I can imagine their was a maniacal laugh from whoever the developer was when they had the idea for that trophy. Mwahahaha..
Re: Soapbox: Cyberpunk 2077 Could Become a Victim of Its Own Immense Hype
I'll admit I'll be surprised if it doesn't score a 10. But it's one of the few games I would trust a developer enough to place a pre-order.

Tune in this time next week for The Outer Welds.
All about a supernatural being called the Outer who loves to weld stuff, obviously.

The ending cinematic for Metal Gear Solid 4 was 2 hours long as I recall. Might have been confused with that?
Great review, Liam. You've definitely got me interested in playing this one, sounds like an experience.

Re: Soapbox: The Outer Worlds Highlights Just How Far Fallout Has Fallen
Both Bioware and Bethesda as a developer have been incredibly disappointing this generation. To the point where I've lost all faith in both.
But if we look at Final Fantasy 15 and Metal Gear Solid 5, they were released in a very much unfinished state as well.
So i can only imagine what some of these publishers will try to pull next generation where things will be even more challenging.
Re: Almost 5 Years After Its Release, PS4, PS3, and Vita Co-Op Shooter Helldivers Is Getting a Big Update
Nice, good reason to redownload it, looking forward to trying the changes.
Re: Talking Point: If Bluepoint Games Isn't Working on Demon's Souls, What's Your Dream Sony Remake?
I'd love some G-Police. Nothing quite like that has been on PlayStation for a long long time, and it was fantastic.
