Those classic Tomb Raider games take quite a bit of skill and perseverance to play through. Very impressive for someone not into video games. Excellent choice of game series though of course.

Dark Descent is brilliant, I highly recommend giving it a go if you enjoy xcom but real time game play. Easily one of the best Aliens games ever made.

Agreed, Vandal Hearts is an easy 10. Would snap that up if Konami re-released it on PS5. Such a brilliant game.
PS1 remains my favourite console, so many brilliant classics.

Haze definitely wasn't awful, it just didn't live up to the hype. The only thing that was awful was it meant we didn't get any more Timesplitters games.

Is the PC version better aside from the loading time bugs?

I'll probably pick it up down the line once the price drops a bit and it's been patched. I enjoyed the previous game and it sounds like this is a nice step up in terms of story telling which is always a good thing. And a shift to a linear approach is probably for the best I'm guessing.

Still sad about TLOU online getting canned. But the killzone team have skills and plenty of experience so could see something interesting emerge here.

Very interesting, would love to play some of these games again. But the price for what you get isn't particularly tempting, sadly. Might watch out for a sale if that is at all likely.

People getting really worked up over semantics. For a term made up by executives that they will happily abandon and rename at a time of their choosing.

It really depends on the game.

To be honest, I don't even know what the game is about. Just that it's online only and you fire guns and I'm not even sure how accurate that is. I do feel really bad for the developers who put so much hard work into it though. Must be very frustrating to see something you worked so hard on not doing well.

Interesting to hear the story telling has improved. Unexpected as I felt this was by far the weakest point of MH Worlds, where the characters felt plain and boring. Which is fine as the monsters are of course the star of the show, but a more compelling narrative would be great to see.

I see the first Blood Omen game has been on gog for a few years. Would be nice if it was available on Playstation as well, seeing as it's a ps1 classic.

I went to rate Star Renegades but it doesn't appear to be on here.

It was a fun card game. Pretty easy but the interactions were entertaining. Hopefully we can challenge Sephiroth to a game, that would make a perfect ending to the story.

As soon as I saw the price tag they were paying, I thought the decision looked absolutely bananas.
I feel they could have snapped up several far more talented teams for that money.
But I just play video games and the Sony bigwigs, they clearly had a masterful plan in mind. I haven't seen any sign of it yet.. maybe it was more of a gamble? Time will tell.

Easily my favourite of the Steamworld games. The first one was great on the vita. Would like to see them add a bit more depth to the game but I'm sure it will be much fun regardless.

Sounds like a guide is needed for that screen.

If Sackboy is coming in 5th, maybe that's a sign to Sony to get Media Molecule onto Littlebigplanet 4. The first 2 games were fantastic.

Fair comment, the games you mention are a lot more impressive in their design. Can't say I'd miss DN at all if they never made another one.

Agreed, although not just of late, he's been very creepy and dishonest for a long time. Really put me off anything he's involved in.

Very happy to see such a big damage increase on the flamethrower. Not such if it damages high armour targets though.

It has the Dune name and there's some sand in it as well. Close enough - 8/10.

Well done to him for having the guts to stand up and tell it like it is. Sony doesn't deserve to benefit from the success of quality indie games unless it makes the effort to support them.

I'm sure Sony will make plenty more of them, clearly a market for it. Hopefully Sony considers making another PSP one day. Unlikely but you never know.

That's interesting, cheers! Ocean did make some cool games. I played Predator on the Atari ST. Didn't get far though, the difficulty was indeed very high.

I'd rather avoid spoilers but his interactions with a lot of the major characters really establish him as a villain to be feared much more than your average antagonist, and he makes it personal. And teaming up with him in a flashback is a nice touch as well.

First unfinished game I can think of was Robocop on the Commodore 64 released back in 1988. Games being much more difficult in those days, they made one level pretty much impossible, so customers didn't find out until many years later the game was actually completely unfinished.

He remade the rules of what an antagonist was able to do in a video game.

Fair point, it's not a super generic scifi 1st person shooter. So very unlikely to hold any interest for long.
