I was ready to buy one, but this is just further proof it'd be an unnecessary purchase. Games already look tremendous. Let's see improvements in story telling, destructible environments, physics, exploration, and enemy AI.
@GamingFan4Lyf Mm, I'm 41 now, and feel something similar. This trend of early access is ridiculous. And extra things like art books. Remember when the additional content they now charge for used to be unlockable? Cheats, new outfits, special weapons, things like that? Gaming is absolutely unrecognisable from when I started in the late 80's. And this generation has really been the most disappointing yet. I'm honestly not sure if it's something I'll do forever. Back to GTAVI, the trailer just left me feeling a little bit cringe, the way society is portrayed left me feeling kind of ashamed in a way. Kind of hard to describe. The fact it's set in and around an area I live in and know very well should excite me, but even that, I don't know. The industry as a whole is just leaving me very cold. If anyone needs me, I'll be playing Farming Simulator or something. 😅
I was thinking about this the other day. If Rockstar charges $100 for GTAVI, I think most people would pay it. Personally I have no problem waiting for a sale.
It depends on enjoyment, too. In retrospect, something like Witcher 3 has given me hundreds of hours of entertainment, and would have been cheap at twice the price. Then again, other things I perhaps wish I'd never bought. It's perspective, and one you can't know until you've experienced it.
If the hobby gets too expensive, I don't really have a problem giving it up entirely. I've taught myself over the years not to become too attached to anything (or anyone) I can't live without.
Why do people care about the business side of things? Seems like these articles get more traffic than anything else. Controversy, I suppose. I can barely be bothered to raise an eyebrow.

Probably about time they remaster it.
Re: Rumour: Days Gone PS5 Remaster Speculation Starts to Spread
I love this game, but all I'll say is thank goodness for 3rd party studios.
Re: Jaw-Dropping 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro Console and Accessories Will Bankrupt You
What, no 30th anniversary headset?
Re: Fresh Marathon Details Cover Heroes, Pricing, and Bungie's Silence
Not sure about the wisdom of that image symbolism. Dead in the water?
Re: Horizon Zero Dawn's PS5, PC Remaster Is Very Much the Real Deal
If it was reimagined and Rost survived changing the story slightly, I'd be interested.

Re: Mini Review: Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis (PS5) - Expensive Expansion Is a Flawed Affair
P3R is my GotY (currently), but I don't feel any desire to get involved with this.

Re: Dramatic Conflicts as Sony Accused of Signing Secret PS5 Exclusivity with Black Myth: Wukong
@Northern_munkey Seems to be what a lot of modern journalism is built on. Especially in gaming. Journalism in the traditional sense is all but dead.
