Re: PS Plus April 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

I believe most would agree the quality of PS Plus has improved significantly this year, and compared with most months last year, this represents another strong selection.

If you've not yet had the opportunity to play Days Gone, I'm happy for you - you're in for an absolute treat.

Super excited about PS5 - genuinely innovative, high performance tech. I just hope they don't drop the ball with backwards compatibility. The PS4 catalogue is an embarrassment of riches, so if they make that available (hopefully with performance enhancements) Sony will enjoy another successful console generation.

And that's before we even get onto PSVR 2, which has the potential to be massive (over 4m PSVR user base to date)

If Sony are smart, they'll do exactly what's been done on this page and invite structured feedback from PS+ subscribers, then implement the feedback. That feedback loop should then be an ongoing process.

The landscape is constantly evolving, so this requires an approach from Sony that will embraces and leverage it to offer the most compelling offering to its loyal customers.

@David187 I accept it's a different service. Fair point.

However, it is objectively accurate to state that we are paying more for PS+ and getting less than before. I think it's fair to call that out.

Regarding DriveClub - Explain that to DriveClub players who loyally pay their PS+ subscription.

@David187 PS+ subscribers are paying more, whilst the resulting service has been reduced. Not just in terms of games, but also online services which the PS+subscription is supposed to support / protect - the termination of the DriveClub servers for example. What game(s) will be next?

The landscape is also rapidly changing.

Look at the value of a competing service like Game Pass and the PS+ offer looks increasingly out of touch.

Sony need to rethink the PS Plus value proposition - and fast. Paying more for a reduced offering vs the previous year, especially in the face competition like Game Pass, won't go unpunished by subscribers considering their next renewal.
