its been a pretty long time since the last one, obviously spider-man 2 should get some footage since thats still dated for this year but i'd like some kind of update on that kotor remake. the way development got handed off to a different studio and potentially restarted makes me hope it won't be metroid prime 4-esque ghostware that gets announced early in the generation only to never be seen
an issue i think a superman game would have, is due to his invincibility a lot of his best stories (all-star superman especially) focus more on emotional stakes, which isn't impossible in a game but it would require a really strong development studio behind it
my experience with the expanse is quite limited (i read the first half of the book but got too busy to continue it, which i really should do), but i love what i've seen of this universe, will definitely keep an eye on this
as the rest of the show has been, this was a really interesting alternate take on the story. it cut down on the parts of the story that i've always felt were unnecessary and killed the pacing a bit (the attack on jackson specifically has always felt unnecessary). the acting has been consistent as always, pascal and ramsey continue to impress me with their takes on the characters quite a lot, they're both unique and recognizable and i think thats the perfect direction. as to that one part at the end (embarrassingly idk how to mark a spoiler on here so i'll be vague), i thought it was less exciting but fit the show's style a lot more than an accurate version would be.
also idk why anyone would even be posting in these comments if they "dropped the show for shoving gay people's mere existence in their face", if you dropped the show you shouldn't be shoving that in my face.
in all honesty even if it wasn't for the terfy elephant in the room i wouldn't be getting it because the game just doesn't look very good in my eyes. so that gave me two reasons not to get this, got dead space instead
as a fan of both the comics and firaxis' games this really sucks to hear, i've been playing the game off and on and think its really quite good, even if the writing is a bit inconsistent
@nessisonett i'll always be mixed on that part because on the one hand its a ridiculously mean joke given the context of what just happened, but on the other hand i think its a really iconic ellie moment (for lack of a better term), i wonder if it'll work better tonally with the one week gap between the release of each episode
i thought this episode was easily the best so far, each one has been better than the last. the way this episode tackled this love story over such a long span of time was honestly beautiful, and its gonna stick with me for a long time. i honestly don't care that its really different from the game because i think it succeeds in adapting the material (and honestly surpasses it), it brought the story into a new medium in a way that fit the medium better.

fun fact, the very reason there's a hyphen between spider and man was to prevent him from being confused with superman, guess it doesn't always work
