@BAMozzy I'm checking some of the previews and I thought I was looking at PS4 Pro footage this entire time, until over at Kinda Funny Games they said that the demo they played ran on a regular PS4! That's absolutely amazing, I can't imagine what the Pro version will look like with HDR and all. Kinda jealous now actually.
@Octane There are a couple of new 4k Videos (Playstation Access, GameSpot...) of the game running on the Pro and it looks incredible. The extra sharpness is most noticeable. This is before you add in the HDR too.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

A good video and worth watching (unless you really don't want ANY spoilers). I don't think there are any 'story' spoilers but does show some of the dynamic weather, some of the upgrade tree etc
A short video comparison with with Horizon's Studio Art Director, Jan-Bart van Beek talking about the difference between the Pro and standard version - obviously best to watch in 4k if possible

@Splat I understand that... Most of the video's I have seen lately are all in the same area and at the same point in the game relatively speaking but you get a sense of the combat, the variety and different approaches to it by different gamers. All of which helped to confirm my expectations of that aspect, that its not 1 or even just just 2 dimensional. Its not like Killzone for example which is literally see something, shoot it - although you can use that approach if you want...
The second video is only 2 or so minutes long and shows the game at 1080p on a PS4 and at 2160p (checkerboard) on a PS4 Pro so you get an idea of what the game will look like and (almost) justifies my decision to upgrade to the Pro. In that, there really isn't any spoilers or anything you won't have seen from a trailer. Of course it can't show what HDR can offer... I expect that for PS4 owners who haven't upgraded but own a HDR TV, that will be more significant than the jump in resolution to 4k TV owners that don't have (decent) HDR...

@BAMozzy This game is the main reason I cancelled my PSVR preorder to buy the Pro and upgrade to a 4K HDR TV and from the looks of these videos it looks like I made the right choice. Aside from the looks what I'm most impressed about is how varied and excitibg the combat looks, March can't come soon enough.
Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.

@carlos82 Ah, I couldn't see it for whatever reason.
Leave it to me to be late.

I'm looking to pick it up later in the year. Christmas and Birthday presents were plentiful, I got 6(!) new games so far, plus my wife pre ordered breath of the wild and ME Andromeda for me. Needless to say, I have a lot of games to get through! Not to mention my backlog!
Guerrilla Games have released a few video's talking about the challenge of going from a FPS linear game to a 3rd Person Open World RPG, building an engine, creating a more Story driven experience in an RPG format and developing an iconic lead character.

In case anyone's interested, Sony has posted a four-part series of short informative videos on some of the enemies in Horizon Zero Dawn. Looks pretty cool, especially the Snapmaw, can't wait to get ambushed by that thing.
It's getting close enough that I'm having trouble getting in to any other games. This always happens to me when a game I'm really looking forward to gets close to come out.
@Splat Same here, going to play Night in the Woods next week, but not going to start a new play-through until Horizon comes out. I really don't like finishing games I haven't touched in months.
