So we currently are at 100+ deaths and potentially tens of thousands infected, also worth noting that 5 MILLION people managed to leave Wuhan days before the lockdown.

Do we panic yet?

More chance of dying any number of other ways to be honest, so no. But, it doesn’t look too great either.

If you really are contagious for 14 days prior to showing symptoms it’s not really worth panicking, you will either get it or you won’t

@kyleforrester87 To be honest the main people at risk are older people and heavily obese as the disease targets weak immune systems, I am a bit chubby myself but I have a healthy-ish diet and do keep on top of light daily exercise and make sure to have daily vitamins.

I am just worried for older people such as family members, and the fact that a lot of the WHO are panicking now as they underestimated this disease at first makes me wonder what it will take to solve this problem, it highlights the huge hygiene problem with Chinese markets though,.

And you are probably right to be honest, just gotta hope it doesn't mutate.

No, panicking is the last thing you should do.

Given how easily Freshers Flu spreads at uni, I don’t fancy my chances.

@DonJorginho I look relatively healthy and I do a lot of cycling but I have arthritis caused by an overactive immune system so I’m on weekly immunosuppressants shots, which in principal should make me pick up infections more easily but in reality it doesn’t seem to be the case - although when I do get ill it seems to hit me harder than it ever did before I was on these meds.

I’m not supposed to stop taking them unless I am actually Ill, since they can stop working if I do, but as and when it kicks off here I’ll stop taking them as a precaution. Beyond that there isn’t much else I can do unless I move to a cabin in the woods

@themcnoisy Great game. I called my first virus 'Dumbass' - it was a fun time.

Did you see the boost in sales figures for it and the dev's response?

@nessisonett I think I order my Chinese from a family who visit relatives in Wuhan.... We are both going down I guess!

@kyleforrester87 That sucks to hear man but I am glad you don't get ill very often and the bike rides definitely will help anyone's immune system regardless of health issues so that is a great thing to do.

And might have to kit out my basement as a makeshift apocalypse shelter!

@kyleforrester87 I'm the opposite of you Kyle, medically the complete opposite. I was diagnosed with graves disease 5 years ago, which in itself messes you up. it got so bad it has set off this rare side effect. So now even when everyone is ill I'm fine (maybe a sniffle which last half a day). My antibodies and immune system are absolutely amazing, on the downside I struggle to sleep and pretty much permanently use the toilet 3 times a day for a poo. Sorry to go into detail like that.

I'm planning on visiting wuhan, pretty cheap right now!

@themcnoisy You must go through a lot of bog roll! 😂

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@themcnoisy yeah the issue was my immune system was over active and when I didn’t have an illness it just starts attacking healthy muscle, the plus side was I didn’t get Ill that regularly and it wasn’t so bad when I did. The drugs suppress it but can increase risks of cancer etc so I have blood tests every couple of months.

It’s all good though haha

@themcnoisy To be honest, whenever I hear about some new pandemic, that game is the first that comes to mind.

“Bog roll”. Lol, I love British slang. 😂 Haven’t heard that one yet.
