All that talk about chocolate in the chit-chat thread has made me hungry. We've had dedicated food threads in the past but they seem to be locked or archived.

I think I might have invented the most heathenous dessert the other day. It's so good I named it twice:
FriedNutellaSandwichFriedNutellaSandwich
It's gotta be soooo unhealthy though.
Ingredients:
Bread (not brown or white, something in-between but also seeded) - 1 slice
Nutella - 1 dollop
Olive Oil - a lot
Caster Sugar
Cinnamon Powder
Recipe:
Put pan on the Hob and allow it to get very hot.
Mix roughly 3 parts Caster Sugar to 1 part Cinnamon powder in the bottom of a glass. Shake the glass until it is mixed well.
Dollop your Nutella over one side of your bread and fold it over.
Pour oil in to the hot pan and leave to heat for a minute.
Put folded sandwich into hot oily pan.
Leave for a few seconds and turn it over with a spatula, maneuvering the pan while flipping to spread out the remaining oil.
Fry until crispy on both sides and all oil has soaked into bread. (If you have leftover oil in the pan then you'll just have to make another!)
Transfer finished sandwich to plate and sprinkle cinnamon/caster sugar mixture onto one side. Flip and sprinkle on the other side. Flip to the most attractive looking side and sprinkle the rest over it.
@AnVold God, that ramen looks good. Wish I could stomach the sushi though... 😅

@AnVold The various bowls of ramen I ate during my trip to Tokyo in May are some of the best foods I've ever eaten. Absolutely unreal.
I do love steak and a proper greasy kebab as well.

@KAIRU cool! I want to visit Japan someday. It's looks like haven for people who love Japanese food, games, anime and manga. Steaks and a proper greasy kebabs is awesome too. I also like classic fried eggs with bacon.
@AnVold I can vouch for visiting Tokyo. It really is an amazing place. I was there for ten days and I don't even think I scratched the surface. And I haven't even been to the likes of Osaka and Kyoto yet.
Some amazing foods and snacks there to try. It's almost endless.

@AnVold Yes, it really would! Japan really is an incredible place and the food is absolutely unreal. I think I took some pictures of some of the things I ate during my trip, so maybe I can post them here at some point!

Get a knife and fork and dig in.
Haha, your FriedNutellaSandwichFriedNutellaSandwich is the perfect excuse for my diet to take a hike. I've never been brave enough to deep-fry my desserts, but you might've just persuaded me.
Now onto my own culinary adventure, I was roaming through the appetizers at Costco and bumped into Kirkland's Italian meatballs. It inspired me to recreate my mom's classic Italian pasta with meatballs - a real nostalgia trip.
For the sauce, I used canned tomatoes, garlic, and a splash of red wine, letting it simmer to absorb all the flavours. I boiled some spaghetti, heated the meatballs in the sauce, and served them together, finishing with a generous sprinkle of parmesan.
Here are a few things I ate during my trip to Tokyo! 🇯🇵
Tonkotsu Ramen
Yakitori
Sriracha Gyoza

@KAIRU oh, looks great and tasty! I just returned from my Moscow trip too. I visited Kremlin, Mausoleum, churches, metro, museums, skyscrapers and Irish pubs. There is a photos from nice pub:
@AnVold Looks very nice! That pint looks rather good too. 🤤

Wow, your Moscow trip sounds like a fantastic adventure! Exploring the Kremlin, Mausoleum, churches, and the metro must have been awe-inspiring. And hitting up Irish pubs for a taste of Moscow's nightlife is such a cool touch! Any chance you discovered a gem for brunch near me during your travels? Always on the lookout for tasty local spots!
I had an amazing cheese and bacon burger in a London restaurant recently. The stuff of fables.
I would share the location but I don't want every one going there! 🤣
