@Anthony_Daniels I get where you’re coming from with this with Xbox buying Zenimax, but why is it okay for Sony to lock games to their platform but not Xbox?
@IOI yeah this site is getting more and more fanboy-like by the day. I get that it’s a PlayStation centered site and I expect it from the comments, but this used to be a good place to get playstation news and rumors. Now it’s become 50/50 Xbox hits and Sony puff pieces.
@Thumper I think the problem is that any pc gamers that wanted these games bad enough just bought a PlayStation to play them. Sony’s release schedule is the biggest issue here. 1-3 years is a long time in gaming and most will just forget about the game by then or buy it on the original system it released on instead.
Maybe Xbox just paid for Altus to make native ports and Sony didn’t want to? Xbox seems pretty keen on having as many games as possible running on the series consoles natively or having smart delivery enabled.
I think everyone is missing the point of Microsoft pushing gamepass onto Sony consoles. Microsoft isn’t in the business of selling consoles anymore. They want as many people as possible in their gamepass ecosystem. The more, the better. They don’t care what device you play it on as long as you are playing.
It will still sell like crazy regardless of what anyone says. Sony have a mastered a brilliant release strategy of dropping games at just enough intervals to keep their first party fans always hungry and begging for more but never fully starving. That’s why they buy anything and everything and always swear it’s the greatest game ever.
@get2sammyb Comparing the two companies’ acquisitions is absolutely comparing apples to oranges, but it is also 100% hypocrisy on Sony’s part. They buy up third party exclusives and devs to make that content locked to their platform to attract more customers. Microsoft is doing the same, only on a larger scale. Microsoft brought a tank to a knife fight and Sony isn’t happy about it.
I played Cold Steel 1-3, and I own the Skies arc on pc so I plan on playing these all in order once Azure comes out next year. Might end up starting Skies later this year since it has three games.
I have a feeling adding easy mode to these games would have the same effect as playing notoriously hard nes games with mods or cheats on them. You would cakewalk through the game with no barriers, and after beating it you would say “what, that’s it?!”

Re: Sony Must Share Details of Exclusivity Deals with Microsoft in FTC's Court Hearing
@UltimateOtaku91 yeah that’s why Microsoft is a 2 trillion dollar company and Sony almost went bankrupt a few years ago right?

Re: Chrono Cross Remaster's Shocking Frame Rate Issues Lead to 'Worse Performance Than PS1'
Sounds like a standard Square pc release. They’ll probably patch it after enough people complain, but they will take their sweet time doing so.
