Yeah, absolutely zero interest in this now. What an utterly baffling decision. Removing the sole reason 4 (and THUG/2) is my favourite in the series. Really don't understand this at all.
This is actually ridiculous. It's the sole reason number 4 was my favourite. I much preferred not having the two minute limit. Suddenly zero interest in this now. Oh well. What a bizarre decision. Why change it so fundamentally?
Played about an hour of this on Gamepass, but didn't feel compelled to finish it. I felt like I'd seen everything it had to offer, and the puzzles were largely the same, just bigger. I found it got a little boring and repetitive in that 45 minutes and just set it aside after that.
Aside from Silksong and Elden Ring this is just about the only confirmed game I'm truly looking forward to at the moment. Absolutely loved the Fight Night series, and was always gutted EA canned the series to focus on the (in my opinion vastly inferior) UFC games. Really hoping this carries the torch on!
Nope, I think it's a garbage month. I can't honestly say I'm annoyed because I have enough to play as it is, but I'd still rather get games I might actually want to play at some point than these. I don't play multiplayer online really, and not in to sports games, so a bit of a disappointing collection this month.
@Milktastrophe I mean, you've wilfully ignored the latter part of that sentence where it says they aren't allowed to offer launch discounts "without [Platform X’s] approval".
But yeah, feel free to cherry pick words here and there to support whatever argument you want to make.
Dreadful really. Greedfall and Shadow I played on PS Now ages ago, and I don't have a PS5 yet. PS Plus has been getting worse for years, and 2021 is not off to a great start!
The streaming aspect of PS Now isn't great. But, there are loads of PS3 games on there I'd like to play. I see no reason whatsoever why Sony don't allow downloading PS3 games on PS Now to a PS3 console. Obviously you wouldn't be letting people play PS4 games on the PS3, but why can't we download PS3 games to the console. 🤷♂️
@Arnna Agreed, he is totally one dimensional. Personally, I didn't feel that it hurt the game, I didn't really ever expect any more from him, and even as he heads towards some sort of redemption, he never really evolves as a character. But, that said, I did actually quite like him.
This is just annoying. I'm on PS4 and can do without having to download a 25GB update I didn't need. The game worked fine for me before. Surely there's a way they can push this only to PS5 users!? Hopefully this doesn't happen with too many other games, pointlessly eating up my hard drive space!
@BurnettPlays It already does tell you if someone is using Netflix. Or the Sky app, or Prime Video. It tells you whatever they're using. Even on a hacked Vita, friends can see if I'm using some dodgy FTP transfer app, it literally just gives the name of the app you're using at all times.
PS Now is the reason I've only bought one PS4 game this year. (Which was, ironically, Days Gone). I think its a great service. Yes, it could be way better, but for the £40 I paid for the year its incredible value.
@KleebanKliban Streaming demos is a really good idea, don't know why nobody offers that. Half the time I can't be bothered downloading a 30+GB file just to play ten minutes and decide I don't like it.
@gollumb82 I'd just be happy with a straight up port of the first game on Switch. But yeah, RDR1 in the second games engine would be great. Wish they'd done single player DLC too. Saidie's story, or John's story between 2 and 1. Still, excited for RDR3 eventually haha.
@Gunga Same here, mine ran out in Jan and I didn't renew because the free games have been mostly awful for ages. I went for a year of PS Now instead and finding it much better value.
My PS+ expired in Jan this year, and I'd been dissatisfied with the 'free' games for a while so decided not to renew it. I don't really play online anyway much. I decided to try a year of PS Now instead, and to be honest I'm finding it much better value. PS Now might not match (or even come close) to Gamepass in terms of new releases etc, but it does have one bonus over the MS equivalent. You don't need PS+ to play PS Now games online. And Rocket League is on there, which is the only game I play online (plus it's going F2P anyway, so that's irrelevant I guess).
tl;dr - PS Now is much better value than PS+ at the moment.
Honestly, I hate the US version of the blog. The one we used to have in the UK (and rest of Europe?) was so much cleaner and nicer to look at. I don't even bother checking the site any more since they merged it.
Still got my PS3 copy so unless it ends up looking a whole lot better there seems to reason to get this one. I'd be interested to play it on Switch, but that's about it.
PSN is all over the place at the moment. Announcing PS+ late, announcing one game early and making it available for download early, closing comments on blog posts, it's a mess!
@Darthrau I don't think it's about being a tight ass. If a game is broken it doesn't matter if I paid £60 or £5, I'd still feel ripped off. Broken game is broken.
@BBIAJ No you're right, other than a quick go round my friends house I never really played the original so don't have anything to compare it to. Fair point.
I've had PS Now for almost six months. It's ok. It's not great and far from perfect, but it's ok. When my Plus subscription lapsed in January I didn't think I was getting good value any more so didn't renew it. Instead I spent £45 on a year of PS Now. Its good that it has some newer games on it now, but it's still not as good as Gamepass with day 1 releases. It's got a long way to go, but it's better than it was. There are not enough games being added monthly, so if you don't like what's been added you're stuck waiting a month for new ones. The PS3 streaming is very hit and miss. I have a 150mb connection and sometimes it works well and sometimes it's literally unplayable with the lag and dropped frames. It's a hard recommend really, it's ok, but it could be so much better.
Glad so many people on here feel positive about the games for May, but personally I think it's absolute horse crap. Both are on PS Now, they're both management type sims and don't appeal to me at all. I genuinely think this is the worst month I've seen in 6-7 years of having Plus.

Re: Days Gone Gets Huge 25GB Update Ahead of PS5
I dunno about overhyped, but this game was easily one of the best £12 I've spent on a game. Absolutely loved it from start to finish.

Re: RAD - Mutant Roguelike Madness in a Dystopian Future
Why has everyone assumed multiplayer means PvP? Might have been cool to include a co-op mode.
EDIT: And in case anyone wonders why I'm here a year after release it's because it just came on PS Now, haha.

Days Gone is one of the best PS exclusives of the generation. Brilliant game.

@Agramonte Yeah and it's not even meant to be a particularly great port from what I've read.

This just seems like a remaster nobody was asking for. Such a random choice.

@zebric21 No. You can play the PS Now games online without an additional PS Plus subscription. That's about the only advantage it has over Gamepass.
