I was perfectly content with a Glacier White Destiny bundle for over $40 less than the $550 RRP (over $90 cheaper than the original $600 RRP for the same item).
@Gamer83 The retailer from which I'm getting mine didn't have them listed for preorder; instead they'll be stocking them tomorrow for people to buy or layby. My country's Target is doing the same thing.
I'm looking to layby one of the white PS4 bundles first thing tomorrow, so Destiny will likely be my first PS4 game, even though I don't know as much about it as I'd like. Still, a free game's a free game, and if it really is as enjoyable as a lot of people claim...
I play both Nintendo and PlayStation, and I currently own/should hopefully have by the end of the year: Wii U, PS4*, Wii, PS3, 3DS, PS Vita and DS; PSP would be on the list but I'm already collecting enough consoles as it is at the moment, not to mention my other expenses and lifestyle pursuits (scuba, anyone?), so that one's in doubt till early next year.
*Only if I'm able to get the Glacier White one in time
@stalepie2: I was just considering possibilities for a Super Nintendo-themed Transformers toy, including Ultra Magnus and Rodimus, but Galvatron would be a superb choice!
They should also do other characters in the form of controllers. Personally, I think the best option for a DualShock is Starscream, but since the PlayStation's an Autobot...
I'm not sure if the standalone Glacier White PS4 will make it to Australia, though given Sony Australia's track record I think it's safe to assume that it, like many past white PlayStation consoles, will remain limited edition. I'm still not sure if I'll like Destiny, but I'd still like my PS4 to be white, so I guess it's better to be safe than sorry and preorder the Destiny bundle next chance I get.
So we have collections for the Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper trilogies on Vita. All we need now is a Ratchet & Clank Trilogy and my Vita will be very happy.
Considering Tearaway was the only Vita game I played this year (a treat through and through; one later section still haunts me), it automatically gets my vote by default.
My parents gave me a shiny new PS Vita along with a copy of Tearaway. I wasn't able to play it at all on Christmas Day because there wasn't a Memory Card, so I got a 16GB Mega Pack today. I also received a $50 EB Games gift card from my brother and his family, which I used to buy a Starter Kit and $10 of PS Store credit. I'm seriously considering using it on the PS3 version of The Sly Cooper Trilogy using my email gift voucher, as long as it supports cross-buy.
If I play a shiny new PlayStation console this Christmas, it's probably going to be a PS Vita. Home console wise, I'm still on the fence about getting a PlayStation 4 due to the lack of backwards-compatibility, so I may just replace my old PS3 instead at some point.
I'm interested in getting a Vita as my entry back into the world of PlayStation, which may lead to me obtaining a PS4 down the track. I've been doing research this week and I must say it looks like a wonderful system. I've decided to go with the classic Vita after learning about the PCH-2000 and comparing the two; between the smaller form factor (I have big hands) and the slightly-dimmer screen (the OLED screen looks much clearer and brighter), it's fairly obvious where my decision lies. Vive la Vita!
Hello everybody! Wait...I know some of you guys already! Did...did I just stumble into Nintendo Life in an alternate reality or something?!
In any case, I'm happy to be here. Shocking, I know, but I don't just restrict myself to Nintendo gaming. In seven weeks' time I'll likely update my username to...something else. I hope I don't go with something ridiculous, like SonintyPurist or something...

Re: First Impressions: Squeezing the Cheeks of LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS4
This is the PS4 game which has me most excited to own one.

Re: LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Recharges Its Powers with a Marvel Themed Re-Release
@artemisthemp That's actually a good point. I was considering double-dipping, but being able to upgrade would certainly soften the blow on my wallet.
Re: When Will Destiny's PS4 Servers Go Online?
@Gamer83 Will do. Mine's blizZAP by the way. I might not actually have the console for a few months at least, but once I pick it up I'll PM you.

Re: Here's a Quick Look At Destiny on Vita via PS4 Remote Play
So how many individual PS Vita consoles in total can be synced to the PS4?
Re: Sony's Strangest Looking PS4 has Divided Opinion
That console looks sweeter than edible ball bearings! If I miss out on the Glacier White PS4, and then this one somehow makes its way here...
@rastamadeus That sounds like one awesome Wii U stand!

@stalepie2 Did I say "Rodimus"?! Oh, blech! That's what I get for making a post five minutes after waking up...

Re: God of War Collection Causes Chaos on PlayStation Vita
If this is due for release on Vita, then we may yet see a Ratchet & Clank compilation.
Re: You'll Soon Be Able to Link Three Portable Devices to Your PSN Account
Nice, that means I could register a Vita and a PSP, with breathing space for a third handheld some other time.
