@BLP_Software I agree that there is no way “all three” are going to do well. The Switch is a given. But then people will look at the Xbox or PS4 and choose one. And with this deal, you can have a 4K capable console AND VR. All for the price of a regularly priced Xbox One X. Sony has a winning combination on their hands.
Again with these mediocre puns... that's the problem with these specific blog sites. I like to zero in on the content I care about but they are mostly staffed with amateurs.
Deus Ex, The one Pro game I'm enjoying the most, has major frame rate issues. It's surprising, really, because the graphics (textures esp) look dated and it's not a visually complex game. You can definitely tell the difference 4K makes, but at the same time it's amplifying some of issues the game has. The gameplay is incredibly addictive, with a great story and actually interesting side missions so the graphical issues don't really bother me too much.
I love all the greatness awaits commercials. It's a solid message and I like the action oriented storytelling. It certainly hits a cord with me; a break from a mundane life where you can prove yourself.
You'll only see a (noticible real world) difference, if any, if you upgrade to an SSD. Traditional hard drives typically never get close to that throughput.
@get2sammyb Sammy you should mention that now you'll need a 4K hdr compatible splitter as well. At this point, I'll have two splitters plus the built in inputs for my 5 devices!
I just bought (quite literally) a tv with hdr because I have a PS4 pro on order. What an annoyance! This needs further explanation... what exactly needs to switch? The output from The PS4 to tv and then the vr processor?
I'm usually the one defending destiny but not in this case. Rise of Iron is good, but disappointing. Very few voice actors added, massively reused assets, only ten new missions.... you phoned it in Bungie. It's a little over priced as well. More of a 15 or 20 dollar expansion. I'm guessing most of the team is creating Destiny 2.... I hope. But there is not a years worth of content here and I'm really doubting the add ons they promised will be enough to tide people over.
At this point I play destiny more than any other game. But I've been disappointed by the PlayStation exclusivity. A quest really is just busy work. Give me a unique mission in a new locale. And that isn't even a new ship. It's just a reskin of the vanguard package reward ship.
Interesting. When I voiced my doubt (a doubt that turned out to be spot on) on a push square post on Facebook, I received so many negative comments in such a short amount of time that I deleted it. All I said was I suspicious of the review embargo and I was waiting to pick up my pre order. At least I can derive a bit of satisfaction in knowing I was right...
