I paid for PS Plus Extra until 2025. I won't be renewing it. I've been a Playstation Plus subscriber since 2011 (think Stacking was one of the monthly games). I'm not really certain that the subscription has much value for me (especially when the offerings aren't anything I want to play). I mostly play Indies and niche games. I will probably end up buying a steam box (better sales and cheaper games - compared to Switch or PS5). I don't have an issue buying a digital only game but if the access is removed then start charging a cheaper rental price. I pay £40-50 for a physical disc then the digital should be much less if it's not ownership.

I won't be spending for a Ubisoft sub.

I will probably extend my plus extra before the increase. I started paying for plus around 5 or 6 months after it was first released. That's 13 years of plus games across PS3, PS Vita, PS4 and PS5. I also buy quite a few games with plus discount.

Some people seem to think the price rise is okay because the price of everything is increasing. The rising costs in the UK escalated after 2020. The rising costs of energy was first blamed on covid, then rising demand in Asia, then wholesale prices and finally the war in Ukraine (all excuses while energy companies made billions in profit). Then there's Brexit, lots of strikes and living on an island surrounded by it's own excrement. There's no justification for the rise of the cost of PS Plus, it's simply greed.

@Slayer25c that's not true. The hack occurred in 2011 and paying for online happened with the release of the PS4 in 2013.

Would have bought one on launch but apparently that's not possible as there hasn't been the ability to pre-order one since 24/9. Considering the country goes into lockdown on Thursday until 2/12, can't really wander down to a shop to pick one up either.

How to disenfranchise customers? I may as well spend a bit more and invest in a gaming PC. Alienating customers has that effect.

@PSfan4Life22 not exactly as the US had different titles in their sales. The name of the sales may be the same but content is different.

Not exactly a fictional location as it's based around the Gulf Coast (though names are changed) and Scaly Pete has a Yat accent.

Dream Daddy or at least put it on sale. Katana Kami would be cool but it's only been out for a short while (sale would be nice).

Trails of Cold Steel is on PS plus in Japan. Have it on vita but I'd play it again.

I don't care if it's AAA game, that's the least relevant aspect of a game. Activision must be wanting to unload DLC on people. One less item on the backlog pile.

@beavis64 pulling the games isn't about saving lives. Your argument was about people being overly sensitive, even using racing games to support your flawed argument.. The inability to keep track of all your disagreements with various commenters is also a flawed aspect of your character.

@beavis64 yeah that's why after the huge earthquake in Japan 3/11 they pulled all earthquake survival games off the shelves. That was a popular genre but a bunch of people dying was more important.

Oh and your analogy is flawed as racing games are about racing. Most road fatalities aren't because people were racing but because people aren't paying attention or are drunk or ignoring road rules & laws.

I've never played any Crash game but would try it out. Hope the other title is Dream Daddy.

At least 2 Uncharted games have been given before (vita one and Uncharted 3 perhaps). Never been into the Uncharted games so that's meh and have Goat Simulator so another meh.

The games were never the bonus, the games and cloud saves were the reason to have plus. Sony deciding to charge for online years after plus was implemented means online was the "bonus". I don't care about playing online so if plus isn't giving interesting games then it doesn't have a purpose for me. Instead of a PS5 I may just invest in a good gaming PC.

Sleeping Dogs was already on plus on the PS3. If someone isn't going to buy it for £3.99 (the usual price in sales on PS4) then they aren't going to buy it.

@daveofduncan actually I don't care about God of War and this month is rubbish. The service is abysmal.

Actually earning 65 in a year isn't hard, you can earn more if you play easy games.

You can shave a year off for White Knight Chronicles 2 and another year and half for Neverwinter so that's 255 in 5 and a half years. I'm not a trophy hunter, just pointing out that bragging about platinums is silly. I pointed out I have mates that have 400 and 600+ platinums. You can keep trying to find averages but that's also silly. Some people play multiple games switching between them on different consoles. I also have Xbox and Nintendo consoles as well. I'm a gamer not a trophy hunter. I don't care if you believe me or not i know what I've earned and they weren't for your benefit.

Uh no the PS3 did not originally have trophy support and I didn't have a PS3 until 2011 nor did I have a vita at launch. Once again you keep making assumptions. Someone can earn 65 platinums in a year if they want to whether you want to accept that or not.

Easy games like White Knight Chronicles 2, multiple JRPG's across PS3, vita and PS4 (such as Persona 4 and 5), also Fallout series (except 76) Yakuza (including Ishin), numerous Koei Tecmo games including JP imports and so forth and so on.

You made a post attempting to brag about platinums on an article about a function on Xbox one. When someone points out that other people can earn that amount in a year, you then become defensive about the games you play compared to ones they may or may not play. The one with 600 has platted all Souls games and Ninja Gaiden games, those aren't Lego or easy games. Some people are just very good gamers, some like my mate are better than you. What they do or don't do with their life isn't really for you to judge but perhaps visiting a trophy hunter website is more appropriate for your gaming conquests.

I live in Europe I don't want a baseball game. If America wants to force it's sports on Europe, will American plus subscribers receive a cricket game? How about giving them PES?

Will this be digital only in Europe? I can't anywhere to pre-order from.

Not really interested in either, bit disappointing that it's two months in a row with a racing game.

Dream Daddy, it's a long shot but I can hope. Yakuza Kiwami 2, Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk would be nice . Would like to see plus discounts on EDF 5 dlc mission packs and if Farm Together put all their content packs on sale I would buy them all.

I wouldn't want either one. If EA were to have any offering in August it would be Dragon's Age Inquisition or Mass Effect Andromeda. They've both been on sale enough to qualify and Sony does like to troll it's plus customers. I doubt they will be though.

A sports title and a racing game. Not interested in either so it's back to feverishly working my way through a backlog of 8 years of plus games I would like to play before plus expires. PS Now seems like better value unless there are some good plus discounts in the sales

Sony Europe is abyssal. Their strategy has been if they fix an issue it invariably leads to another issue they will fix that leads to another and so on.

Many years ago the PS3 store had blank icons appearing with content disappearing. The fix, completely create a new store that negated browsing and meant downloading plus games, purchasing games and dlc was a sprint. Are you able to make your way through the store in 3-4 minutes or less before being booted back to the XMB. What shop would actively antagonize their customers? If Game trolled customers like that they would be shuttered with rent and business opportunities signs.

Games on PS3 that had trial-buy removed or added to PS Now have disappeared from download list with the opportunity to purchase them again or contact tech help or in the old days post on the blog comments get a response as well as others commenting and confirming the issues were more widespread than just an issue with a single account.

Sony didn't want to deal with any genuine complaints about content issues on a public blog and wanted people to call a monied number to deal with errors caused by SCEE. SCEE became so toxic that they changed the name.

Any excuse Sony gives is negated by the fact that Microsoft and Nintendo can deliver regarding releases in Europe. Sony trolling devs will only hurt Sony because the desirable console will be the one that offers more content.

Persona Q1 & 2 and loads of Shin Megami Tensei (also spin offs) games have released on the 3DS. I'm fine with Persona 5 on Switch but it would be brilliant if all those 3DS games were ported over to PS4.

@Robinsad it was the PS4 and it was a contest between 3 titles of which the one with the most votes won. It didn't go down well.

@rjejr because anyone in the UK would not associate March - Mad or Madness with an American sport. You can probably watch videos on YouTube of hare's fighting one another (re: the hare in Alice in Wonderland - the hatter because mercury was used in hat making which exposure caused insanity).

Wasn't there two flirt options in episode 1? I flirted and made a choice as the episode 2 ended. There were several opportunities in dialogue choices regarding connection, simpler life etc. Darius even asks what you want.

I flirted, I wanted to make a connection and chose a simpler life. I don't think it was only choices made in episode 2 but based on choices in 1 and 2. Chances are they die in episode 3 so back to Alkibades with his goats and stress relief
