I know it's bad for big companies to consolidate power over art, but Crunchyroll is such a terribly mismanaged mess of a company that anything with the potential to spark change is welcome. As of now, their service is unusably bad on most platforms.
@TheNewButler 2tb isn't even that extreme. I swapped my original PS4 hard drive for a 2tb on day one, and it only cost me sixty bucks or so. I was thinking about upping it to 4, but decided to wait for the PS5 to make sure I could reuse the HD.
Storage isn't nearly as valuable as these companies seem to think it is. If there's one thing Sony shouldn't be holding back when they make their money off digital games, it's storage.
They've not been terribly pro-consumer so far. I've been mostly Sony since I was a kid but at this point it's turning into a coin toss which next gen I invest in. I'm much more concerned with storage, backwards compatibility, and pricing than I am how quickly I can load a freshly purchased game on the days I happen to buy them.
@themcnoisy Sony has a long, storied history of dicking around players for storage. Remember when they thought we would spend multiple hundreds of dollars on PS Vita cards, instead of just not buying games for it and letting it die?
A 2tb hard drive for a PS4 at this point goes for about 65 Canadian dollars. Why Sony can't just eat a tiny cost to give people a little more storage and thus, more reason to buy digital games and fill it up, is beyond me. It's like a grocery store giving out baskets but refusing to give you a cart.
These Ubisoft games always go on sale for the same discount prices practically every other week. Shame they don't put the DLC on sale more often. I would totally pick up a season pass for Watch Dogs 2.
Usually the ideal PS Plus months for me are two small ones like this and one phat triple-a title. This feels like half a PS-Plus month. Not bad games, just not as much as we're accustomed to.
I find usually the best months are one big thing and two smaller titles, usually low-profile or Indie. I'd be interested in any game that's a good entry point to its franchise. I prefer my freebies to be accessible and welcoming and typically buy the more heavy-investment stuff myself.
