There was nothing truly creative or original here. All three major video game developers seem very cautious this generation, preferring to stick with what they know will sell well. True creativity these days is almost exclusively found among smaller third-party developers and especially in the indie scene. But unfortunately, that's always been the case in such industries—be it comics, video games, or films. Creativity can quickly lead to the downfall of a company if you don't produce what the masses want. That's why safe projects like a Wolverine game are necessary: Everyone knows Wolverine, everyone likes Wolverine—so it's better to make Wolverine than risk something new and creative.

That's because Sonic design appeals so much towards fans. Rare doesn't have this luxury. There need to put effort into their games. And if the talent isn't there, there is no reason to create a new Banjo, Conker, or Kameo game.
Sonic fans definitely see something in Sonic that I can't. Sonic Frontiers is just a boring sandbox game, with an over-melodramatic story, and Sonic Origins is just another over-prized collection of the same old classics that fans have played many times before.
Are you kidding me? This game is is a beta-test at best. Fans only praising it so high, because it is the first Sonic game in the last 10 years, that isn't a complete disaster. Also, the Sonic fans only really talk about how great the story and characters are, which, tells me that the gameplay hasn't that much substance from begin with. The bar for Sonic games is really low these days.
Sonic Frontiers is mediocre at best. The only reason Sonic fans praise this game so much is because of three reasons: The story, the proper characterization of the main characters, and that it isn't as bad as Sonic Forces, which is an argument Sonic fans love to use: If it isn't as terrible as this game, it is good. It is like if you eat only dog food for the last ten years and one day you have the opportunity to eat burned rice. It isn't a good meal, but it is still better than the stuff you had before. This is what Sonic Frontiers is.
This game comes off as one of these games, where you have to grind for in-game currency to get content such as new characters, weapons, skins, maps, etc. I'm not doing this again. The last Crash Bandicoot game that I played was a chore to complete. This will be a definitely pass for me. Also, I'm not feeling the new art direction for the series. Especially the replacement for Tawna comes off as something to appeal to people, that never supported Crash, but demanded a character that they can have for themselves.

Re: Crash Team Rumble Spins onto PS5, PS4 in June, Closed Beta Coming Next Month
I really miss the days when you just paid for a game and that's it. None of this free-to-play-battlepass-microtransaction-hogwash we have now.
Re: Tchia Comes to PS Plus Extra Day One on 21st March, New Trailer Revealed
When I saw the blue backpack, I thought of another franchise first.

I do not feel the new art style. I miss the cartoony one with the big feet.

Looks beautiful. Am I the only one that got Gravity Rush-Vibes from seeing this trailer?

Are we sure that Crash and Spyro are once again lost forever?
