I'm fine with the tiers. It's the pay monthly prices that annoy me. People who can afford to pay for a year get a better deal than those who struggle to pay for a year so have to pay monthly but at a higher amount. Yes I know it's not just Sony who does this, in fact, it's the norm. But still!
Better than PS Now that's for sure. Subscribed for the wife as she likes some of the old ps 2 games but what a rip off for £8.99 a month compared to what I get for £3.99 a month on Gamepass for PC.
@doctommaso yeah I guess it's sort of a lesser version of its former self though now the online element has been removed. Still looks and plays fantastically though if you just want a single-player game.
"It’s mooted that the solution moving forwards may be to offer a controller where the components can easily be swapped around, but it’s difficult to maintain the same high level of quality while delivering such customisability."
Gonna be interested to see how the Thrustmaster ESwap Pro works out.
I know it's been said many times since the disastrous launch but KUDOS to Hello Games for sticking with it and delivering on their promises and more. They took a beating but kept going when they could have cut and run.
@hulkie not sure about the funds question but the games are downloadable only and not streaming. Basically, when you choose a game form the vault it redirects you to the PSN store page but obviously the price is shown as FREE. Then you just add to your library and download like any other game.
Well I like NHL games, I like NFL games and I like Battlefield games, Battlefront 2 is also supposed to be pretty good now that they shifted focus to fixing it instead of emptying wallets and I wouldn't mind trying out Fifa again - so actually £20 is extremely reasonable for someone like me and I'll go ahead and subscribe.
That being said there really isn't that big a variety and padding it out with old versions of the same franchise goes to show really.
It would be nice to have the back-catalogue as well PC has Wing Commander etc. Old EA games from PS1,PS2 and PS3 would be great as despite EA being utter douchebags they have made some great games. (ps I am aware it's not as simple as just making PS1,2&3 games available)
@TalentedAtGames granted some indie devs the pre-orders help financially but that's about it. Wait for the reviews. Wait for the bugs to get fixed. Stop buying into hype. Reward hard work not good marketing.
@twofer ummm because it's just a controller - people buy consoles mainly for the games. Does it really matter if one person prefers a controller layout style over the other?
Was actually quite excited about PES tbh but I've also nearly bought Detroit and Heavy Rain a few times so it all worked out in the end. If I was being a total spoilt brat I'd say they should have added these and left PES. But I'm not so I won't!
I would like....them to announce a 2 tier system. Pay standard PS Plus rate and get the additional games each month or pay half the amount for online access and the PS Plus store discounts. Just makes sense to me. I came from a PC gaming background so I wasn't used to paying for online access. Then convinced myself £50 was OK for a year since we get games with it. Then quickly realised I'm just adding games to a my library I'll never play or have no interest in playing. I'd rather save some money and buy games I know I'll want. Just makes sense to me and surely it might actually be more profitable for Sony to do it that way. I guess if less people are paying for the full whack PS Plus though then they have less money to spend on buying titiels to give away. I'm not sure how these things work.
I absolutely loved the Titanfall 2 campaign. One I'll play over and over again I think. Every level/chapter was different and the time travel stuff was just soooo good. It's relatively short, well crafted and just a big heap of fun.
I've just got a steering wheel so a decent driving game would be good. Dirt Rally or Project Cars. However, I recently bought Assetto Corsa and GT Sport so if there's a racing game it's probably going to be one of them haha
Firewatch is wonderful. They've also got a sale on other stuff - highlight being Titanfall 2 for £3.99 and Witcher 3 (standard edition) for £7.99. Picked them both up
Titanfall 2 - loved the first game on PC and been meaning to pick this up for ages. £3.99 on ps store this weekend! Jumped into a multiplayer game and it plays so well even for a console/controller fps noob like me. I know a lot of people have bought it recently or gone back to it due to Apex Legends but honestly it's not been a factor for me - just not interested in Battle Royale games.
Do people still play this and are their still active servers? Literally just got a PS4 (not had a console since the PS2) at Xmas and looking for a decent driving game. Driveclub keeps coming up as people's favourite...can grab it for £5 on eBay so will get it anyway but be nice to know I won't be the only person still playing it.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Dreams Flies Low as Bayonetta and Vanquish Breach Top 10
Thing is with Dreams is that it's going to stick around for a LONG time. I'm not going to buy it yet, but I definitely will be in the future.
Re: Futuristic PS5 Fan Design Is so Stylish
I'm not sure if I like it as I can hardly see it!

Now that's how you do a cinematic.
Re: Need for Speed Heat Is Official, Coming to PS4 on 8th November
That voiceover script was cheesier than that fondue I had last night.
Re: Need for Speed Heat's Collector's Edition Includes a Car, an A5 Notebook, and a 'Premium Cardboard Box'
Wow - says a lot about the company when this is announced at the same time as the game.
